Chapter 21: A little cutie who peeks out

I don’t know if there will be any danger around me. Gu Xiaoli fought quickly and had no toiletries. She could only rub herself in the water to wash away the soil and sweat.

"rustle."

The grass next to the stream seemed to move.

Gu Xiaoli, who was bathing in the water, froze instantly. She looked up suspiciously, and Lei Wen was standing not far away with her back.

"rustle."

The sound from the grass made Gu Xiaoli completely furious. Regardless of whether she was washed or not, she rushed ashore to pick up her clothes and put them on her body.

Lei Wen in the distance kept listening to the movement here with his breath holding his breath, and immediately shouted: "What's wrong with Xiaoli? Are you okay? Am I here?"

Gu Xiaoli was about to answer, but saw the grass opposite the stream moving, and a furry little head poked out from it, and his big eyes were looking at Gu Xiaoli with grievance.

Gu Xiaoli has never had much resistance to cute creatures like kittens and dogs, and the little animal opposite is probably not a leopard.

After seeing the treatment of the leopard tribe for the wild boars, she felt that if Lei Wen discovered it at this time, the little cutie would probably be made into a piece of bacon and buried in someone else's belly.

"I'm fine! Don't come here!" Mould answered for her first step before her brain.

While shouting, she looked at Lei Wen in a panic and found that he was still facing away from him even though he was approaching, and breathed a sigh of relief. Lei Wen should have not found a small animal.

"Don't turn around! I'm not wearing clothes yet!" Gu Xiaoli shouted.

Lei Wen's ears were visible to the naked eye and reddish a few degrees. Although the spring heart was so excited, he still listened to Gu Xiaoli's words and honestly retreated back to his original position.

"I will call you after I finish washing. If you don't call you, don't look back!" Gu Xiaoli still reminded him with concern.

After getting Lei Wen's promise, Gu Xiaoli flowed through the stream and slowly approached the grass. He stretched out his hands and carefully pushed away the grass, revealing the small animals inside.

The small animal has a wolf-like torso, with black and white patterns on its back, and bright orange limbs and abdomen. It looks like a wolf in its entirety, but has big fox-like ears.

Gu Xiaoli saw such a species for the first time in reality. He recalled the animal world he had watched on TV and determined that this little guy should be a grassland jackal.

Generally speaking, jackals are sinister and cunning animals. They are not strong in individuals but have extremely skillful teamwork. They are good at using strategies and teams to capture or grab prey on the grassland.

Sometimes you can even snatch prey from powerful races like lions or tigers.

The little jackal looks very small compared to other huge animals on this continent. It is only the size of an adult golden retriever in the world she lived in in the past. It should be a minor.

On its orange belly, a terrifying wound spread across the abdomen, and blood can be seen oozing out of the wound little by little.

The little jackal looked at Gu Xiaoli, then looked in the direction of Lei Wen in the distance, curled himself up in a ball, his big ears collapsed and pressed against the sides of the back of his head, huddling in the grass.

Gu Xiaoli was in trouble, so it was almost impossible to ask Lei Wen to help the little jackal, but with his own strength, he could not safely send the little jackal back to its tribe.

If it is left here, it will probably be found and killed by people from other leopard tribes following the smell.

The little jackal in the grass made a whimpering sound as if begging for mercy. The little head leaned close to Gu Xiaoli's ankle and licked it flatteringly, as if begging Gu Xiaoli to let it go.

Gu Xiaoli felt that his heart was about to melt, and unconsciously started to gently caress the little jackal. The little jackal also raised his head and arched her hand spiritually.
