ANITA, ALEXIS AND ADAM WALKED UP TO THE SCHOOL TALKING ABOUT THE ACTIONS THAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT
"SO YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TELL HIM?" THEY QUESTIONED ANITA
"Come on guys. It's not like he'll be pining for me. Trust me. He's forgotten all about Cinderella. And by the way, you guys calling me cinderella in front of him was so unoriginal" though they would've preferred it if she told him, they still laughed at the name
"It was good" they walked up the stairs of the school and once they looked around they couldn't contain their shock. All over the place was posters of her with numbers attached. Pictures of her on a piece of paper that wanted to know who she was
Alexis: "Oh"
Adam: "My"
Anita: "Gosh"
"Yeah" alexis nodded
"He's 100% forgotten about you" anita let a small smile slip from the joke as she looked over and then they all continued walking
"He's looking for you everywhere" Adam pointed out as he saw anita pull her hood over her head to cover herself
Anita: "Isn't it better to cling to the dream of what might've been instead of ruining everything with reality?"
"Reality.. or you?" Anita huffed but as they continued on but then she noticed Ryder walking her way with his friends. Reece caught sight of Anita first and sent her a small smile but as Ryder turned to her she quickly turned and opened her locker before shoving her face inside
Both Alexis and Adam snickered and waited with her as the trio walked past and gave her the all clear
"You can't do this forever"
During lesson anita sat beside alexis. Adam was in another class so they weren't together but they had others so the girls didn't mind
Anita was writing in her book as she glanced from the whiteboard to her desk
"Whoever she was she was a freak show" the girls heard Cleo and destiny talk who were sitting behind them, talking about the events of last night
"Totally. Who runs away from Ryder caddel? Not me"
"She'll never show her face now"
"We missed you at the ball anita" Amanda added in. She sat beside both stepsisters too
"I guess a maids job is just never done" alexis went to jump in but the comms turned on stopping her
"This is am administrive announcement from the administrations office-" she was cut off by another male voice that was from Reece
Reece: "Ahh! Yeah! Your on the mic with Reece and Caleb! Check it out, listen up; once upon a time there was a chill hottie"
Caleb: "She left Ryder caddel now that was real naughty. now here's RC just to tell you more"
Reece: "Now, put down your pencils and give RC the floor- cause I got-" they heard some rustling and complaining through the comms before Ryder finally started talking
"Anyways um. Last night. I-uh. I hung out with somebody at the ball. The girl that sang them amazing songs on stage" everyone in the class cheered which made anita let a small smile slip. She didn't know how much everyone liked her voice
"Anyways, you dropped your bracelet when you left. I'd love to return it but problem is i don't know who you are, and this is important. You made it one of the best nights of my life" although anita loved the idea of what Ryder thought about her she couldn't help but worry about her bracelet. She turned to Alexis opened mouthed
"What do I do?" She muttered but alexis didn't know either
"I love him" Cleo gasped, her lisp coming through
"You have bacon in your braces" destiny pointed out motioning to her face and Cleo stuck her hand in her mouth trying to get it out
"Okay, so here's the deal. Uh, if you were the girl that I hung out with, the girl the sung last night. Tell me what the four different charms are on your bracelet. Thanks mystery girl. I'll be waiting" the comms turned off and anita sat back in her seat
by the time lunch had rolled by and Anita's group took a seat at the table and by the they noticed, most of the female population of the school lining in front of Ryder and his friends' lunch table
"Here ye, here ye folks. For the next few days we'll be trying to find out who our mystery Cinderella is, and you are all the ones that claim it's you. So let's have it" a girl walked forward in front of Ryder who was sitting there with a glum look on his face
Anita, alexis and Adam watched: both Adam and Alexis smiling at the situation as they all continued to eat
"Hi, I'm Rachel"
"No" Ryder said and then he turned to Reece and whispered in his ear so no one else heard
"Her hair is blonde, cinderellas was darker" Reece nodded and pulled the microphone back up to his face
"Next!" The girl gasped in shock and turned around and the next girl moved forward
"No" the next girl had too light of skin. Cinderella's was more of a caramel colour that she had inherited from her father
"No. No guys" Ryder said standing up attracting the attention of everyone
"Enough. Look, I'm sure you guys are all beautiful and nice girls. But you guys aren't the one for me" he turned around and headed out the room leaving the cafeteria in silence
"He wants you" alexis hummed
"He wants you baddd" Adam joined in. The three of them stood up and made their way inside the school
They moved to the stairs and started to walk to their next period
"So when exactly are you going to tell him you're Cinderella?"
"Uh- never. Hopefully he'll just forget about me and that's all"
"Then how are you going to get your bracelet back?"
"I don't know, I might have to steal it back"
"I doubt he'll take it off him. Any girl would just grab that when he's not looking to try and find out the four charms" the short girl let out a small laugh that confused her friends
"It's a trick question" anita explained
"There's four charms, yes. There's only 2 that are on their twice"
"What are they?"
"Well when i went to the zoo with my parents they both got me a small panda one, and then for my birthday they both got me a heart one. So 2 hearts and 2 pandas" they continued walking up the stairs and turned to go into a hallway, not realising who had just listened into their conversations about
"Oh my god" Cleo muttered turning to destiny but she wasn't paying attention
"Hey!" She snapped
"What?"
"Did you hear that?" Cleo asked destiny
"I did" another voice answered but it didn't come from the twins. Caleb walked into their eye view and their eyes widened
"You can't tell Ryder" Cleo blurted out and Caleb just let off a small smile
"I know. So you have to make sure she doesn't tell him herself" both girls were in shock at what Caleb said. They thought he was Ryders friend but he was going to keep this a secret from him
But the truth was that Caleb didn't want to. He actually liked anita and her friends but he couldn't let his facade fall. He had to hate them
He always kind of knew anita was the mystery girl because he was kissing Adam that night, which meant the people that left with him must've been his friends. Going with the idea Adam didn't have other friends apart from the ones in his friendship group, that left either Alexis and Anita. Alexis had blonde hair and Anita had brown. So it was safe to say she was most likely
"Stop right there!" Anita, who has just walked through the door and was holding bags of shopping got stopped by her twin two sisters who were walking down the stairs and over to her
"Oh, look at you, acting all innocent"
"What are you talking about?" Anita asked as they backed her further and further into the house
Destiny: "We know anita"
"What?" Part of her new but they were talking about but she can't let them know that
"It was you at the ball. with Ryder" Anita let off a small laugh to mask up her shock and turned around
"You guys are crazy" she started to walk away but they stopped her once again
"Actually, you're the crazy one if you think will let you end up with Ryder. And if you tell him it was you.." Cleo let off a small laugh and destiny continued
"Do you remember what your parents left you. Your bracelet.. and-"
"My family heirloom necklace" both the girls let out manacing laughs that had Anita's heart twisting. How could they do something like this? Something that meant so much to her
"If you tell him it was you, we'll break it" Anita thought that maybe people just had a problem with her owning jewellery because for some reason. Someone else always has it
"But it's-"
"Listen" another voice interrupted and Anita oooked to the holder of the voice, her eyes widening once she realised it was caleb. But she didn't dare say anything
"You're going to keep this a secret okay? Ryder doesn't like you, he likes the idea of a girl. He wouldn't expect it to be some poor little girl who gets belittled by her step siblings and dresses trashy. Stay away from him" the idea of ryder not liking her hurt more than she'd like to admit. A part of her thought that he wouldn't care about the difference of hierarchy between them- like he said at the ball- but she was wrong
"Now go and make lamb chops. Mothers very hungry" Anita sighed and went over to the kitchen, leaving behind the twins who had individually just thought of an idea
"That fucking dickhead. How did I even kiss him?" Adam said disgusted once he heard about what happened
"How dare he threaten you not to tell Ryder?" Anita answered with an 'i dont know' and laid back on her head, keeping the phone to her ear
Alexis: "But I thought he was Ryders friends, he's literally helping ryder find her- you"
"Maybe it's an act, it must be I guess. Maybe he has a reason- i don't know"
Alexis: "Don't always justify peoples actions Anita. Maybe he's just a bad guy. He doesn't need a reason to be evil to you, maybe he just is" Anita sighed knowing her friends were right
"I'm sorry Adam"
"Sorry me? Girl I kissed him once. There was nothing there so it's fine, jts you I'm worried about"
"I'll get over it. Hopefully ryder does too"
