After leaving Jacobs's house early that morning I went straight home. Well maybe not straight home, I stopped by this abandoned school a couple of minutes away to burn my clothes. I mean I had to make sure they wouldn't be found. It was a bit past 6 o'clock in the morning so no one should be up since it was the weekend. Closing the door as softly as I could I made my way to the staircase but was immediately stopped by the voice of my mother.
"Where have you been Titus?" Her voice sounded tired. Turning around I came face to face with my mother. She was wearing some old night pants with an oversized shirt. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled into a messy bun on top of her head.
"I was at a friends?" It was more of a question than a statement and I'm pretty sure she caught that slip-up.
"You don't sound too sure of yourself. Listen, you're getting older and I get that but with all these murders happening in town I want you to be home by a certain time so I know you're safe." She was looking me head-on, something that my sister never did which gives me a certain level of respect for my mother, just a little.
"Mom I can take care of myself. I don't need to be home at a certain time. I'm not a kid." Honestly, I was annoyed, like who does she think she is telling me what to do im basically grown.
"At least tell me where you are instead of disappearing all the time. I don't wanna come home and find out you're somewhere dead in a ditch or something!" She was on the verge of tears but I couldn't find it in me to care, I hated when people tried to tell me what to do and how to live my life.
"Mom I don't have to tell you shit okay?! Like I said I can take care of myself now if you are done talking I'm going to bed." Walking away from my gaping mother I stomped towards my room. I heard her footsteps so I knew she was following me, just my luck. Rolling my eyes I kept walking.
"Titus Jones! Who the hell do you think you're talking to? I am your mother!" She would wake up the whole neighborhood with her excessive yelling, it honestly gave me a headache. She continued to follow me until I was all the way up the stairs, getting close to my door I seen my sister peeking out her room door, we made eye contact and then she closed her door. Finally reaching my room at the end of the hall and where my room was located. Opening the door I turn around and looked at my mother with a smile in my face.
"Are you even listening to me?!" She yelled in my face.
"No." And with that, I closed the door. Mom was still yelling at the other end of the door but I just laid down and took a nap.
When I woke up again it was noon. The house was quiet so I guess everyone left me home alone again. Going downstairs I went straight to the fridge and on it was a not from mom telling me that she and my sister went out and they will be back later. Crushing up the note I threw it in the garbage bin and took a cookie from out the cookie jar. Walking out the kitchen I go into the living room to watch some Cartoon Network, childish I know but I really don't care. I think I sat there for about 30 minutes or so before I got bored. Getting up from the couch I go back upstairs to get dressed. I put on a red and black flannel, dark blue jeans and dome Doc Martins to finish off the look. With that, I left my house leaving a note, with the paper from my composition book, on my counter telling my mom I left and I'll be back whenever.
I think my favorite places to go to are parks. They can be pretty calming and gives me time to think about my next move. The park closest to my house was about 10 minutes away and it was a neighborhood park called, Gilbert Mcqueen, everyone in a two-mile radius would come to this park, it was the biggest park our small town had. When I finally reached the park I parked my car next to the lake near the actual park and walked around for a bit. A couple of minutes in I notice a figure, a small one at that, sitting on a park bench and they seemed to be talking to someone, or themselves. Deciding it wouldn't be bad to meet a fellow schizophrenic I walked towards the person. Upon closer inspection, the person became even more familiar. It was Jacob and by the looks of it he was pretty beaten and that alone caused my blood to boil for some reason.
I made it there during the last bit of his little rant.
"He just needs to die." His voice held so much venom that I stumbled a bit. I never thought I could hear so much hatred out of someone so docile and soft. Nevertheless, I agreed with his statement because the person who hurts something that belongs to me surely needs to be dealt with.
"I agree he just needs to die." I stood next to him while he looked up at me from his stop on the bench. You could see the confusion written on his beautifully bruised face and that angered me more.
"Titus?"
"In the flesh." My tone was playful But had underlying darkness to it. His mouth repeatedly opened and closed as if he was trying to find out what to say but couldn't think of anything, so instead, he looked like a fish out of water. Deciding to make the first move, I walk in front of him and kneeled between legs that he gladly opened for me. Grabbing his face as gently as I could with my pointer finger and thumb, I made him look at me in the eyes, we'll his one good eye.
"Jacob, baby who did this to you?" I made sure my voice was calm and I guess that was the tipping point for him cause he instantly broke down in tears.
"I-I don't know what I did for him to treat me this way, Titus. He hurts me so much he makes me feel like I wanna die and I can't take it anymore." Some of that I could barely catch since he was hiccuping and sniffling through his entire rant but I caught the words that made me tick.
He. Hurts. Me
"Who did this to you? Tell me right now. Was it that bitch Riley again cause I swear to God-"
"No! It wasn't him this time." He sniffled again.
"Then who dammit?!" I tried to keep my voice down since we in public but I couldn't help it, this was really making me angry and him taking forever to tell me who that person was, was making me even more frustrated.
"It was my dad..." After he said that everything was quiet. My face was emotionless but inside I was fuming. Jacob stared at me trying to figure out what I was thinking but one thing was on my mind.
Kill...Kill...Kill
Inhaling deeply I tried to calm my nerves, it didn't work but it didn't hurt to try. Looking back up at Jacob I put on a smile, one of my very rare sincere smiles and cupped his face with both my hands.
"Let's make a deal eh? I deal with your dad, make sure he never hurts you again. All you have to do, do as I say. How does that sound?" His response wasn't immediate instead he bit his lip and avoided eye contact with me.
Oh that lip biting will be the death of me
"Handle him how Titus?"
"Don't worry about how. Just know that he'll be dealt with by any means necessary."
"Okay." His response was unsure but that's to be expected from someone like him.
"Remember Jacob he hurt you not the other way around. People should pay for their crimes, right? For their mistakes." Instead of answering he just nodded while still biting his lip. " A kiss to seal the deal?" He tenses up at that request.
His hands gripped mine that was still on his face. I was just messing with him but I guess he thought I was serious so he leaned in and me being me I leaned in right along with him cause who would turn down a kiss from this fine specimen. We met in the middle, or what I assume to be the middle but who cares right? When our lips touched it was as the breath left my body. Jacob had no idea what he was doing since the moment he put his lips on mine he just stayed there. Pulling away from him I look him in the eyes.
"Follow my lead okay?" He nodded in understanding. Putting my lips back on his I started to move mine against his and he tried to copy my movements but they were a bit sloppy but hey, he was getting there. The kiss became more intense, well on my side, as my hands tighten on his face and my lips began to move fiercely against his. At that Jacob let out a very throaty moan that was silenced by our kiss. His hands moved from their place on mine and went around my neck to pull me closer to his body. He tightened his grip on my back and his nails dug in to match the intensity of the kiss, I could tell that he was losing his breath by the constant efforts to pull away but I wouldn't let him. When I felt that he was close to passing out due to the lack of oxygen I pull away from his lips but instead of letting him go immediately as I pulled back from his lips, I gave him little pecks and he tried to follow. Letting out a hearty laugh as pulled all the way back from him.
When I was fully away Jacob opened his eyes and looked at me with a look of disappointment. His already dull lips we're swollen due to the rough treatment but neither of us cared at this moment.
"So it's a deal Jacob Welshman." He nodded fractally at me.
"So what does this mean? Who am I to you Titus?" He was anxious, I could tell?
"You Jacob are mine, mine alone. Do you understand?" I said while looking him in the eyes.
"Yes, I understand." Nodding my head at him I leaned back in to kiss him and he eagerly leaned in also and once again we locked lips in another passionate kiss.
Oh, Jacob, you shouldn't have agreed to be mine. Now there's really no escape for you. My thoughts cause a chuckle to leave my throat but Jacob didn't notice as he was too busy trying to better his kissing skills.
"Hey man what the hell?! You're in public get a room or something." A man yelled in our direction causing us to separate. Pulling away from Jacob I started at the man, Jacob was looking down since he was embarrassed.
"How about you mind your fucking business before I take this keychain and stab you in the neck in front of your children hm? How does that sound?" The man seemed shocked that I would say something so violent in public and in front of his kids.
Man, fuck them kids.
The man just glared in our direction before walking off grabbing the hands of his two children and walking away.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." I yelled towers the man's retreating figure. Turning my head back towards Jacobs downcasted one I nudged him so he can look up at me and he did.
"Now, where were we?"
