"What do you mean the only thing we can do? What's that? Jacob questioned while we sped down the road.
"It means right now we need to get rid of any and I mean any possible threats right now." I tell him with my eyes glued on the road. I gripped the steering wheel tighter and clenched my teeth. We are in some shit, they suspect us. well maybe not us, Jacob of course since he couldn't keep his cool but he's ultimately connected with me so yeah, us, kinda sorta.
"Where are we going?" You can tell he's pretty scared since I was speeding and swerving through traffic to get to our destination. I had to make this quick. I can't afford to get caught now, I've been having way too much fun to stop now.
"Well, we are going to pay my lovely sister a quick visit. It's been forever since she's seen her big brother." I ended with a chuckle. He gave me a small nod and backed up in his seat and took a deep breath. I could tell he had something he wanted to say but chose the right option of keeping quiet.
When we finally pulled up at the hospital my sister was being kept I hurriedly parked the car and went to the trunk to get my bag. When I made it back around the car to the entrance I noticed Jacob was still sitting in the car with his seatbelt on. Sighing I walk to the car and pull his door open causing him to jump.
"Hurry up. We're tight on time right now." I urged.
"Titus...what are we going to do?" He asked, still making no move to get out of the car. He looked scared. His eyes were bouncing back and forth between me and the automatic hospital doors. Squatting down until I was face to face with him I grabbed both of his cheeks.
"Look, it's okay, okay? We're doing what needs to be done so we won't get in some serious shit Jacob. We have to do this." Grabbing my hands that were on his cheeks he started to shake his head while tears ran down his face.
"Mm-mm. No Titus I don't think I can do this anymore." His small cries became loud broken hiccups. I didn't want to show it but I was getting annoyed. We came this far there's no way in hell he can just turn around.
"I can't kill anyone else, Titus. I- can't we just stop?" His eyes were hopeful. Looking into mine with complete brokenness hoping, praying that I give in.
I let out a deep sigh. "Yeah alright sure. We can stop now." I took my hand off his face, stood up, and put my backpack on properly.
"Really!?" He was excited. Too damn excited. "So we can go home right?"
"Nah I'm just fucking with you." Grabbing hun by the back of his neck with just the amount of force to leave him immobile I unbuckle his seatbelt and pull him to his feet. He let out a small cry as I brought his ear to my mouth. "Listen here. You're too deep in this shit now to want to back out. We have the cops on our asses and a video out there that can put us away for a long fucking time Jacob. We don't have time for you bitching and complaining. Now wipe those damn tears and get your shit together."
His face was streaming with tears now. A never-ending flow of pain. At this moment I didn't care, we had too much to do in so little time. Feelings are not accepted here, a good conscience is too late to have now.
"Do I make myself clear Jacob?" I gritted out. He nodded his head to the best of his ability. "Words!"
"Y-yes! Yes!" He cried out. With a nod, I let go one you can see his skin starting to darken. A bruise would be formed.
"You know I'm doing this for you right? I don't wanna see you in trouble, okay?"
"Yes, Titus." He whispered. With a smile, I fixed his glasses that were laying crooked on his face. He flinched at my touch but I ignored it, instead, I put my hand under his chin to make him look up at me. He hissed in pain.
"I'm only doing this because I care about you. About us Jacob." He didn't say anything so I gave him five pecks on his lips. Each kiss with a message behind it.
Kiss
"We."
Kiss
"Are."
Kiss
"In."
Kiss
"This."
Kiss
"Together."
Walking into the hospital after finally calming down we talk to the receptionist sitting behind the all-white desk.
"And how may I help you today, sugar?" She had a deep southern accent.
"Hello, I'm looking for Sora Jones." I smile.
"Ah yes and what is your relation to the patient?" She asks, typing on her keyboard with her long nails.
"I'm her brother and this man right here is my partner." She looks back and forth between me and Jacob who refused to look at anything else but the ground.
"Well alrighty then." She handed up visitor stickers with an unsure look on her face. "She's in room 2-104. Second floor, room 104. Can't miss it."
"Thank you, ma'am. Have a nice day." I grab Jacobs's hand and pull him towards the elevators. Once inside he let go of my hand, which shocked me since he craved physical contact with me often. Ignoring it I pushed the button to reach the second floor.
"Are you really going to do this?" He asked in a low tone.
"We."
"What?" This was the first time we made eye contact while in the hospital.
"We are really going to do this. So buckle up and enjoy the ride." At that, the elevator dinged and the doors opened letting us know we were on our floor. I motioned with my head for him to follow along. When we reached my sister's room it was a sight to behold. She was beaten up terribly. So bad she had a breathing tube coming out of her mouth.
Walking up to her broken and bruised body I tapped her shoulder. "Sora. Sora wake up." Slowly she started to open her eyes but you can tell they were a bit hazy since she hadn't grasped who I was yet or what was happening. When she finally did understand what was going on her eyes spoke pure fear. She couldn't talk or scream because of the tube. She could only look in fear and wonder what was about to happen.
"Did you miss me, hun? Cause I missed you. Big brother missed you so much Sora." I smiled while I stroked her hair and she flinched. Jacob stood at the end of the bed silent and looking at the floor. "Don't you remember Jacob Sora? He's here to visit you too. Jacob, say hello to Sora."
"Hi, Sora."
"Good job." I smiled. "Now, you must know exactly why I'm here Sora. You my, lovely sister did something that you shouldn't have done." I sang while booping her small button nose. "You took a video of us doing some pretty nasty things and we can't let that get out or have someone tell. So the only logical thing to do is to get rid of all possible dangers right?" I asked her even though I knew she couldn't respond.
I rubbed my hand down her pale are until I reached the spot of her IV. She tried to pull away but I gripped her arm. Soft enough not to leave a bruise but hard enough to keep her in place with the little strength she has.
"Now, this is going to be quick and easy okay? You won't feel a thing. Jacob, reach inside my backpack and pull out the small silver box." He did as told and pulled out the box and opened it.
"What is this?"
"That my love is Botulinum. Something real dangerous and real deadly. My dear sister mine, I hate that it had to come to this. You should've just stayed in your place. Jacob, you fill the syringe with 2ml of the Botulinum and insert it into her IV."
He was nervous. His hands were shaking as he filled up the syringe with the deadly liquid. He got close to the IV bag but didn't stick it in.
"It's okay, they won't find anything in her system they'll just think she died from natural causes. Hurry before someone comes in." I urged as my sister looked at him while frantically shaking her head and letting out little moans of protest.
"Titus." He cried. " I don't think I can do this." Gritting my teeth I looked him in the eyes and softened up my facial features.
"Don't you love me, Jacob?" I asked, pushing fake tears to the surface.
"Yes! Titus, I do. I love you so much but-"
"-But if you loved me you would do this to protect me. To protect us. To protect what we are. Like I am because I love you, Jacob. With everything in me."
That seems to break him out of his indecisiveness because he put in a stern face and inserted the needle into the IV bag. My sister struggled and tried to move away but it was all in vain. Once the Botulinum makes its way into a person's system the body will start to shut down. You slowly lose your senses, your nerves stop functioning and then you become paralyzed, then death is knocking at your door.
With a deep breath, he pushed the head of the syringe, and in flowed to toxins. When all of it was inserted he put the syringe back into the box and put it back into my backpack.
We waited for what seemed like hours but it was actually minutes before you could see her body starting to give out and the color drains from her skin. This was it. Just a little more.
Beep......
She flatlined.
"Jacob, how's your acting skills?" I asked still looking at my sister's body.
"I think they are pretty good? I took theater for a while."
"Good you're gonna need it." I said walking over to my sister's body and grabbing the emergency button.
"Why?" I looked at him and just smiled and pressed the big red button.
"NURSE! SOMEBODY, PLEASE HELP!"
