My mother walked into the house. Honestly, she came earlier than I expected, I guess the hospital kicked her out since it was way past visiting hours.
"Titus- ugh what's that smell?" She gags after that while walking into the living room with us." It smells like a dead body."
"Well. that's because it is a dead body." I say gesturing to the wrapped up decomposing body on her couch. She looks from me to the couch and then back at me. You can see the wheels turning in her eyes as she processes what's going on, then, almost on cue she lets out a gut wrenching scream and grabs onto Tony's arm for support. Not wanting to draw more attention to the house I pulled out the gun I was hiding in my pants and pointed it at her.
She instantly quieted down and covered her mouth with her hands "Baby-"
"Shut the hell up! All you do is talk, talk, talk and never know when to shut your damn mouth." I yell at her.
"Baby.... Please-" I hit her upside the head causing her to let out a small scream and fall to the floor. You could hear Jacob gasp and from the corner of my eye I saw him cover his mouth.
"Didn't I tell your ass to shut the hell up? You never were one to listen." The blood trickled down her temple while she let out quick breaths and stayed on the ground. "Jacob pick her up and tie her to the chair!"
"M-me?" He stuttered out? "I don't think I can I-" Grabbing him by his hair I place his head close to his mouth as he closes his eyes due to the pain.
"Think?! You THINK this is the time to be second guessing your actions now? Well it's too late for that buddy. Grab her." I tossed him towards my mother. "Tie her up." I kicked his leg. " And fucking get on with it." Standing on shaky legs he grabs my mothers arm and pulls her to one of the empty chairs and ties her up while she cries. Her cries aren't loud or dramatic since she was hit in the head so she is t exactly all the way there.
"Titus....baby.... Please let mommy go... we can work this out." She pleaded. One thing I hated most in the world other than the people who lived in it was beggars. They were lower than dirt themselves and always tried to bargain and cry when they didn't get what they wanted. Why can't you just take what's handed to you?
"Now mother." I smiled and caressed her blood stained cheek. "You know how much I hate begging so why try it?" She looked at me with wide eyes as I patted her cheek. When I was done I removed my hand and saw there was blood on it and instinctively I licked it off giving Jacob direct eye context. He blushed and looked away.
"At least...tell me why! What's the reason you're doing this?!" She cried.
"Well, there isn't a reason." My laughing must've caught her off guard because she jumped at the loud sound of if. "Just think of it as doing the world a favor."
Her cries got louder after that. "No no no, there's no need to cry. Crying won't change the fact that you're gonna die. So might as well take it in stride." Turning my head I make direct eye contact with Jacob. "Jacob baby..is everything ready? Go ahead and get the supplies." He nods his head and goes into the kitchen. Upon his return he's holding two large gas canisters and a match.
"You see mom... it's almost time to go... I'm sure Tony is on his way here with the police as we speak.... You see your daughter couldn't mind her fucking business and secretary recorded and seen something she should've have.. so you see she had to die... and I think he found her "evidence" since we couldn't and went to the police. So sadly we have to make this process quick." Turning to Jacob I nodded my head and gave him the signal to start.
He nodded back and made his way upstairs starting with the rooms first I assume.
"Titus. What're you doing? Let me go!" She started to struggle and kick around her screams getting louder. " Help! Somebody help me please!" It was no point now since the whole house would be in flames in just minutes. Soon enough Jacob came back down the stairs finishing one of the two canisters. He opened the other one and started to pour again.
"Throw some of that on her." I instructed. He hesitated for a second and then poured it over her head causing her to scream again.
"You sure she should be screaming like that?" He asks timidly while pouring more gasoline on the floor and making his way towards the kitchen. Nodding in agreement I took off the belt I was wearing and tied it around her mouth.
"You done with those canisters babe?" He yelled out a 'yeah' and came back into the living room. Standing beside me in front of my mother I wrapped my arm
Around his waist. "Well this is goodbye mom." Bending down I kissed her on the cheek and she pulled away from me. I could tell she was curing me behind the gag.
"I'm really sorry about this Ms. Jones. Truly." Jacob muttered out. She paid him no mind and continued to cry.
"Cmon Jacob." Grabbing his hand we make our way to the door. Grabbing my large duffel bag I left there I threw it over my shoulder and walked out.
"What's in the bag?" Jacob asked.
"Oh just necessities." I smile.
Taking out the match I gave him one last smile and threw it into the trail of gasoline and just like Christmas the house lit up into beautiful flames.
The sounds of sirens can be heard in the distance and we took that as our sign to leave. Hopping in the car you can see the neighbors leaving their houses trying to see the cause of the commotion and their faces were priceless. Driving down the street opposite of the way of the police sirens I grab Jacobs hand and squeeze.
"Just me and you right?" He asks, smiling at me hopefully.
"Yeah, just me and you. Forever."
