Seventh period. Also known as the best period, because in a couple of minutes you get to go home. My seventh period just so happens to be the one class that I share with Jacob and his frequent tormentors; Riley and his group of idiots. Jacob was sitting in his usual seat in the back of the class silently doing his classwork. Since he didn't have friends he couldn't socialize with anyone while the teacher was grading assignments. Just as I was about to put my headphones on I hear a loud bang on one of the tables. Lazily I turned around like everyone else in the classroom to see what was going. Not being surprised in the least I see Riley once again in Jacobs's grill.
"Hey, fag. Thought we were done with you?" Riley sneered at Jacob while at the same time pushing his books off his desk. Jacob looked like he would shit his drawers any second now. It was kind of comical. Glancing away from Riley's eyes Jacob made eye contact with me. It was like he expected me to do something about the situation but of course, I didn't. I wanted to see how this played out. It seemed like Riley didn't like being ignored so he got Jacob upside of his head.
"I know you heard me freak! Maybe he's a cripple too." He laughed and soon his minions and part of the student body jumped in the laughter as well.
"Please just leave me alone." His voice was soft, like cotton. Or would silk be softer? Anyways that's off-topic.
"Excuse me. Quiet down and do your work." The teacher said from behind his computer. The laughter soon calmed down but sadly Riley's antics didn't.
"You think just because Titus saved your sorry ass that means you're safe."
Oh?
Riley then picked Jacob up by his shirt and lifted the smaller boy in the air. Like, come on how is the teacher not seeing this?
Jacob started to cry. Like full on ugly crocodile tears. It was pretty gross. Turning around fully I examined the group of pathetic boys surrounding Jacob wonder what they are going to do next.
"Oh, you wanna cry fairy? How about I give you something to cry about hm?" Riley's hand lifted up into the air and formed the shape of a fist. Just as his hand was about to come down on Jacobs's face I sprinted out of my seat and grabbed his hand just centimeters away from a flinching Jacobs face.
"I don't think you should do that buddy." The look on my face was deadly. I don't what happened but seeing Jacob about to get pummeled by that gremlin didn't sit right with me. Riley looked at me with a moment of shock before his stare turned hard.
"What the hell bro?! Let me go." He tried to yank his out of my grip but oh I wasn't having it. My grip on his hand tightened immensely, because of the pain in his hand he dropped Jacob and he fell to the ground with a small 'oomph' he kept trying to get my hand off him but when he realized I wouldn't let go he turned to his buddies for help. On Que, they started to walk towards me but I cut my eyes at them with so much malice they stopped mid-stride and backed up.
"Sorry man but you got that right?" The one who was named Ryker said while putting his hands up in the air. Once I was sure that they weren't a threat I looked back at Riley.
"Listen and listen closely boy, and listen good. This is the last time you're going to put your hands on Jacob. This is the last time you're going to harass him anymore do you understand?
" What you're his boyfriend or something? I knew you were fa-"
CRACK!
Riley screamed
Oh yes. His scream of pain as I broke one of his fingers. The pleasure was so great I think I got a hard-on. Oops.
"I asked you a question, Riley." I sang as I tightened my grip on his already broken finger, so ready to snap a couple more. Just thinking about it put the biggest smile on my face.
"Ah yes! Sh... Shit man okay yes. Just please let go, man." Tears started to gather in his eyes and honestly, it was the best thing I've ever seen. Looking down at Jacob I caught him looking at me with a look of fear but behind that, I could see a hint of curiosity and admiration. The eye contact lasted for about ten seconds before he broke away with a faint blush on his cheeks.
"Say sorry."
"The hell? No, I'm not apologizing to that-" his sentence was broken off again with a crack of another finger. His fingers we're turned and bent and different directions. It looked as though someone slammed it in a door a couple of times. Now the tears were really coming. I almost felt a bit of pitty looking at the big bad and oh so tough Riley cry 'cause of a few broken fingers.
"Okay! Okay! Okay! Jacob, I'm sorry man it won't happen again!" He then looked at me. " Please let go." His eyes were pleading with me. His begging sent me into a state of bliss. I nodded to him and just for the hell of it I used my their hand, grabbed his pointer finger and bent it as far back as it could go and then some until I heard another satisfying crack. His last scream was one that expressed pure pain. The bone of his finger was sticking out of his hand with blood leaking out of it. The kids in my classes screamed and Im pretty sure I heard a kid throw up but that was the least of my worries. Looking down at the boy on. the floor I gestured with my head to get up and in an instant he did.
We both packed up our bags and headed for the classroom door and before we walked out of the class I stopped in front of the classroom and made an announcement.
"Oh and none of this will be told to the principle right?" Everyone in the class nodded without saying anything, while Diley was in the back of the class still crying and pointing his bent back finger at his friends telling them to fix it. Looking towards my left I made eye contact with my teacher.
"Right teach?"
"Yes, Mr. Jones."
With that, I grabbed Jacobs's backpack and dragged him out of the class like he was a small child.
"OH MY GOD! that was so cool yet scary you were so so-"
" Jacob."
"Yes?"
"Shut up." And shut up was what he did.
