"What? Did I heard it wrong or... wait you're going for honeymoon trip? With Jungkook? For real?"
Taehyung kept his phone away from his ears since Jimin was shouting through the phone.
"Jiminie, will you please keep your voice down? Are you planning to make me deaf?"
"Whatever. You being deaf or not isn't important right now. You mean you're going for honeymoon with your fake husband Jungkook?"
Taehyung could just sighed at how Jimin freaked out at the news.
"Yeah."
"Are you crazy?"
"I'm not."
"I know you're not."
"Why do you ask now if you know I'm not?"
"Fine. I can't win over you in arguments. But seriously? Are you really going? Or wait... have you both already fell in love with each other and finally decided to stay married forever?"
Taehyung face palmed himself at how Jimin started imagining on his own. He could already see his small eyes getting bigger while telling whatever he imagined himself.
"Jimin. Do you think I will fall for that annoying bunny?"
Taehyung said as he rolled his eyes.
"I don't know anything. I'm an idiot. But I'm really getting a vibe that something is on its way."
"What do mean by something?"
"I told you I'm an idiot. Don't ask me anything. I don't know."
"Jimin. Are you that proud by calling yourself an idiot?"
Taehyung was so done with his best friend.
"I'm just trying to be funny you know."
"It's not funny at all. I'm not in the mood to laugh."
"Hmm... That's your problem that you don't want to laugh but I'm sure I was quite funny just now."
"Jimiiiin."
"Ok. So... when are you going?"
Jimin's voice suddenly changed into a serious tone.
"I don't know. But I'm sure it's going to be very soon."
"Then... have you decided the place already?"
"Not yet. I have so many places I want to go. I don't even know if I can go all of them in this life... and now... I'm too confused to choose from them."
Taehyung said as he played with his own permed black hair.
"So... you called me because you needed my help to choose a place, right?"
"Yeah."
Jimin sighed.
"For that... I don't think I need to choose it for you. I mean... you're finally getting your chance to travel so it should be somewhere you want to visit the most. Just take your time and think where you want to go."
Taehyung just nodded his head as if his best friend could see him nodding.
"Ok. But... thank you."
"Why? I didn't help you to choose the place."
"No. Not for that. Just..."
Taehyung smiled as he thought of how Jimin was always there for him. Jimin was the only one whom he could talk about anything. He would go on ranting about whatever happened in his daily life and Jimin would listen to him without any complaints. Sometimes he would tease him and make fun of him, sometimes he would scold him for being stupid and doing silly things, sometimes he would console him when he felt down, sometimes he would give him warm hugs. He just felt so thankful to Jimin all of a sudden.
"Ok ok... I know. You're thankful for having such a genius and handsome bestfriend like me right?
Taehyung rolled his eyes since he could already sense Jimin winking at him.
"Of course..."
"Awww... Taehyungieee... I love you soo muc---"
"Not."
"What?"
"Of course not."
"You..!! I'm taking my I love you back."
"No. You can't."
"I'm taking it back right now."

The night sky could've sparkled with stars and the moon would've been visible if not for the dark clouds that covered the whole sky.
Taehyung slowly walked towards Jungkook who was busy with his laptop while sitting on the a sofa in the balcony. He finally decided the place he want to go so he came in search for Jungkook just to find him in the balcony.
Jungkook's eyes were still on his laptop screen and didn't notice Taehyung standing beside him until he heard the other clearing his throat loudly. He looked up and found Taehyung tilting his head trying to look at his screen.
Taehyung flinched when Jungkook quickly closed his laptop and he just stood there blinking his eyes when he noticed the shocked and surprised look on Jungkook's face.
"What? I didn't see anything."
Taehyung shrugged his shoulders resting his elbow on the iron top rail of the balcony.
"What are you doing here?"
Jungkook asked as he stood up from his chair and stand beside Taehyung.
"Why are you still here? It's already late. I even thought you might already slept by now."
"Why aren't you sleeping if it's already late then?"
"I was searching for you."
"Searching for me? Why?"
"Why? Yah..! Are you trying to escape from going honeymoon trip with me after making me choose the place?"
Jungkook let out a chuckle at how Taehyung widen his eyes while saying those words.
"Why are you laughing? I couldn't even sleep while thinking about the place and you're trying to--"
"Ohoho... wait wait... I didn't say anything ok? I told you to tell me only the place you want to go. I never thought you would be this excited about going on honeymoon with me."
Jungkook crossed his arms with a smirk.
Taehyung scorned. That same smirk was back on Jungkook's lips again.
"I'm excited because I'm gonna travel the place where I want to go the most, not for going with you."
Jungkook could just laugh because he was enjoying while teasing Taehyung. The other looked like nothing but an angry little puppy while speaking in loud voice pouting his lips.
"Ok... Fine. So... tell me where do you want to go."
"Oh yes."
Taehyung suddenly changed his expression from his angry pout to a bright exciting smile and clapped his hands.
"It's Malta."
"Malta?"
Jungkook tilted his head. He didn't expected that Taehyung would want to go to Malta.
"Yeah."
Taehyung smiled but his smile faded right after something came up in his mind.
"Uh... You... You can afford the expenses right?"
"Of course I can---"
And just then, Jungkook realized that for Taehyung, he was just a simple employee in a company.
"Ah... I mean... I've kept some savings in my account from my salary... so..."
Taehyung just looked at Jungkook.
"Savings? From your salary? How much do you get per month anyway? I mean... you said you started working there only three months ago and how much can you saved from it... like... I know the company you're working is quite big but how much they would pay for a new simple employee like you? You even took so many leaves this time."
Jungkook just cleared his throat repeatedly. He couldn't even say anything so he had to come up with some excuses.
"I'll try to manage everything. Ok? I will--"
"Jungkook."
Taehyung cut cut him off suddenly with a worried face.
"You... You're not saying this so that I won't feel sad, are you? I mean... if you won't be able to afford this then I can ask my mom to arrange everything for us. I just... I really wanted to go to Malta and it's finally happening because of you. But it's going to be hard for you, I can ask my mom to--"
"Taehyung. We agreed to get married because you said you want to live your life on your own without depending on your parents right? If you keep asking them for something like this then what's the difference? We never even needed to get married?"
Jungkook put his hands inside his pocket as he continued.
"I know it's not my place to say this but you need to learn how to live alone now. You've already decided to take this path, you've already taken this path, so you can't back off now. The world is really big. You'll get to experience so many things when you start living alone. Once this deal is over, I won't be there to do every work for you and you can't depend on your parents all the time. You may say you don't want those special treatments on you from your family but you might never know how hard a life can be. I'm not saying you can't do anything but if you want to live on your own, you need to learn everything from now."
Taehyung listened to whatever Jungkook was saying carefully without saying anything. Jungkook was right anyway. He need to learn everything before the three months of their deal finish. He just stared at Jungkook who was standing beside him who was looking at the street lights that could be seen from ther balcony. He could see the serious look on the other's face and it made him look more handsome and gentle with his deep yet soft voice. Taehyung could admit that the male in front of him can be surprisingly a gentleman who can give good advices eventhough he's annoying sometimes.
"Umm... You're right. I do need to learn all those things. But... I don't know how to... I mean... it's my first time to actually leave my home and live separately like this. And yeah, I don't want to depend on my parents always but I can't do anything... I'm just--"
"You're still not used to it, right?"
Jungkook turned his face to Taehyung who just nodded so he smiled.
"It's alright. You'll get used to it in these three months. A week has already passed from the three months but you still have enough time. I can help you if you need."
Taehyung chuckled and put his elbow on the top rail of the balcony while resting his chin on his palm.
"How will you help me?"
"I can help you in many things. As you can see, there're so many things I can do which you can't. We can start from tomorrow itself if you want. The earlier the better."
Taehyung laughed at Jungkook's words.
"Let's go to this trip first."
"Hmm... then... let start from this. Let's not depend on your parents for this trip. We're going to spend from our own money to teach you the value of money because I'm sure you might be spending too much of your parent's money on shopping."
Taehyung just pouted because Jungkook was right and he did spend too much of his parent's money on shopping.
"But actually... for now... I do have money in my account but my dad sent it for me. Can't I use that too?"
Jungkook just laughed out loud at Taehyung saying those things with such an innocent face with his cute pout.
"Of course you can, for now. But you need to earn your own money after we come back. Ok?"
Taehyung just chuckled with a nod.
"So... when are we going?"
"When do you want to go?"
"Tomorrow?"
Taehyung made a silly face by sticking his tongue out.
"Just kidding. Take your leave from your work place first. I'm afraid you won't get any more leave this month. Is your boss strict? He seem to give you a lots of work. You're even working this late."
Jungkook cleared his throat when Taehyung mentioned about the boss. But of course he can do whatever he want because he's the boss and no one can say anything.
"You don't need to worry about that. Uhm... I'll take the leave for my next month too."
"Huh? For next month too? Are you telling me you're going to work non-stop for the whole next month then?"
Taehyung widen his eyes.
"Well... y-yeah."
Jungkook scratched the back of his neck.
Taehyung sighed and looked at his front where he could see the street filled with lights by its side. It was already late but he could still see some cars and taxis.
"That's why I don't want to work in my dad's company. Once if I join the work, I know there will be tons of work and tensions that I won't be able to enjoy my life. I know it can make me live a life with much and more wealth but I don't want any of these things. I get to live only once and I want to live this only life, not to indulge in work and sacrifice my happiness. I may sound selfish but time will go on in its own and we never know when our last day will come and instead of enjoying the happiness of living, we keep on working day and night, earning money and tiring ourselves that doesn't make us enjoy the happiness of living at all. People can earn money but if it can't make us happy and if we can't enjoy while we're living, then what's the meaning of earning them? What's the meaning of living?"
Taehyung turned towards Jungkook who was staring at him silently.
"Don't feel offended since you always work all the time. You worked so hard because you love your job, right? It's fine for you if it makes you happy by doing what you like. And same goes for others who loves working just like you. I'm not saying everyone should feel or think the same as me. It's their choice of their way of living. But for me... I can live like how others are living but I chose to live and enjoy my life happily instead of spending my life inside those suffocating four-walled office room. I can't go anywhere and do whatever I want whem I'm older. So I want to experience every new things while I can. People will tell us to think about our future too and yes, future is important but I feel the present is much more important. If I couldn't do what I want in this present, I'm sure the me in the future wouldn't want to regret anything later."
Jungkook could just stare at Taehyung. The way both of them think about living their lives were completely different. For him, he never thought about how to enjoy his life. The only thing he wanted to do was playing games and so he established a gaming company in such young age. All he did from his childhood was to study. He did participated many other activities but he always kept studying as his priority and that's how he became a successful man. He spend his teenage in studying and his 20's in working. He did enjoy working in his company because he loves his work but did he really enjoy living his life?
But Taehyung was different. His view on the way of living was different.
Both of them stood there as silence occupied the whole area. Even the roads went silent.
Jungkook could just stare at Taehyung who looked up at the cloudy sky and smiled when he could see a small piece of the moon that peaked through the faded clouds. It's the first time he could see Taehyung smiling like this that closely and it was beautiful... like so beautiful. He was just in his simple pyjama with his long fluffy black hair covering his forehead messily but he still looked effortlessly gorgeous that Jungkook couldn't take his eyes off from him.
"Oh..! I can finally see one star there. Look..!"
Taehyung turned his face towards Jungkook with a wide smile but only to meet the other's eyes that were already fixed on him.
They felt something when their eyes met, something that couldn't be explained. But they unknowingly smiled at each other, a warming smile that could warm up the cold midnight wind blowing through their ears.
They were just like strangers a few moments ago, far away from each other.
But now, maybe because they talked properly and calmly for the first time since they met, or maybe because they shared something that were in their hearts about their views on life or maybe get to know more about each other, or maybe because of their eyes that just met that made them feel so calm all of a sudden...
...They felt closer.
