A Way To Your Heart - Chapter 19: Chapter 19

"Mr. Jeon Jungkook and Jeon Taehyung. Please have a seat here."
"Thank you."
Jungkook and Taehyung bowed with a smile at the waiter who lead them towards their seat.
This was not what they expected to do just after they arrived their hotel. It was already late and they wanted to get some rest since they're going back the next day but it happened to be 7th Anniversary day of the hotel they were staying and all the guests were invited to the celebration held at the main hall of the hotel. So here they are, attending the celebration since it would be informal to just refuse the sincere invitation from the manager of the hotel.
The programmes had already started when they arrived at the hall and all the guests attending the celebration seemed to be couples, everyone was enjoying with their own partners except for the two males who were sitting awkwardly by the corner of the huge hall, looking around.
The air in the hall felt so romantic with the couples dancing with the music. Taehyung was smiling while looking at an aged couple dancing together happily. The way they looked at their wrinkled eyes could still show the amount of love they hold for each other. Even with the wrinkled skin and white hairs, they looked so happy being with each other.
"They look so happy."
Taehyung blurted out.
"Yeah. Guess they really love each other."
Jungkook smiled when he saw the aged couple.
"Does being in love make people that happy?"
Taehyung said, still looking at the couple.
"Maybe it's not being in love that makes people happy but the person that they're in love with?"
Taehyung shifted his eyes to Jungkook who was already staring at him and continued.
"You know... when a person is in love with someone, all they want is that the one they love to be happy, they want to make the other happy, as if the other's happiness is more important than their own happiness. They'll feel the happiest when they're together and they give each other a reason to be happy. So everything starts from the one they love... To love the one they love and be loved by the one they love becomes their happiness. That's why they look so happy... because they still find happiness in being with each other."
Taehyung kept staring at Jungkook who never took his eyes off from him while speaking those words. They were still staring at each other when a small smile rose up in their lips.
Taehyung was the first to look away when he felt some weird flips in his chest, trying his best to hide his smile by pulling up a straight face.
"Jungkook, Do you have someone you like?"
Taehyung asked, just trying to lighten up the dense atmosphere between them but didn't think Jungkook would choke in his own drink.
"What?"
"Or... Are you dating anyone?"
"What's the matter with you? Why are you asking such things?"
"I mean... You really look like you're experienced in these kind of things. I don't even know anything about stuffs like this since I've never been in love with anybody nor dated anyone but you soundd like you know so much."
"Me? Well..."
Jungkook put down his drink on the table.
"I saw those lines in internet few days back. So I just told you what I could remember."
"What? Internet?"
Taehyung couldn't believe his ear. Did he just, almost, fall for some internet quotes?
"You... seriously?? Woah... Nevermind."
He could just sigh. He didn't even know why he was so pissed off like that way. Was he annoyed because Jungkook just played for a fool of him? Or... Was he disappointed? That he thought Jungkook said those words for real when it wasn't?
Jungkook smiled looking at how annoyed Taehyung looked. He just chuckled when the other humphed and looked away crossing his arms.
But no one would ever tell Taehyung that Jungkook didn't saw anything like what he just spoke in internet, never.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. We're really glad to have you all here on this beautiful day. We request all the couples out there to please come up here and dance together to celebrate with us and conclude this celebration."
Everyone in the hall got up from their seats and started dancing with wide smiles on their face just after the manager requested them through the mic. But Taehyung and Jungkook were still seated in awkward silence when whole of the hall was filled with music as the light turned dimmed.
"Wanna dance?"
Taehyung took a glance at Jungkook when he asked suddenly.
"N-no."
He even stuttered.
But Jungkook just got up from his seat and stood in front of Taehyung.
"With me?"
He lent his hand out.
Taehyung looked up to see Jungkook staring down at him with a smile. As if that smile induced him to bring his hand up, he slowly held the hand that securely wrapped around his long slender hand instantly as if it was waiting for him to hold.
Jungkook smiled and tightened his grip around his hand.
"Are you nervous?"
Jungkook scrunched his nose when Taehyung nodded.
"It's just a dance. Why are you so tensed? It's not like you're participating in a competition. Relax. Hmm?"
Taehyung flinched when Jungkook pulled him closer all of a sudden. Jungkook just told him to relax but how on earth was he even going to relax when they were standing that closed? Moreover, Jungkook's arm were in his waist while his hands were on Jungkook's shoulders. He could see those eyes glowing even under the dim light, staring at him. He could see how fine Jungkook was when he looked at him that closely, he looked even more handsome.
Taehyung wished if he could run away to hide his burning cheeks but he couldn't. How he wished Jungkook to not notice his racing heart beats. He couldn't even look at him in the eyes, afraid that he would lose his restraints he kept all his life guarding his heart behind and just gave in to the male in front of him.
He don't want to fall in love. That's what he thought, that's what he wanted. But why it felt so right when those eyes stare at him? When he smile at him? When those arms give him the warmest hugs?
He couldn't even understand himself anymore but all he wanted at the moment was to hug Jungkook as tightly as he could. Maybe he wanted to feel the warmth from him again.
So there he goes, he himself had no idea from where did he get his courage from but he slowly wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck and hugged him tightly, burying his face in the crook of the other's neck. And yeah, it surprisingly turned out to be a perfect way to hide his blushing face.
"Taehyung? What's wrong?"
Jungkook asked in concern when Taehyung did the least expected thing suddenly but the other just shook his head and tightened his hug. So he didn't ask any further but just let the male cling onto him, giving him gentle pats on his back.
Their bodies swung slowly with the rythm of the music, without any words spoken, they just enjoyed the comfort and warmth they received from each other until the music ends.
"Taehyung."
Jungkook tried to let go of their hug but only to realize Taehyung already slept in his arms while clinging onto him.
He chuckled and carried the sleeping bear towards their room, making sure not to wake him up.

Taehyung yawned as he sat on his seat. They were already inside their cabin of the plane. They had to wake up early because of their flight and Taehyung didn't get enough of his sleep.
"Still sleepy?"
Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung nodded with another yawn.
"Then sleep. We're going to be here for hours anyway."
"We're finally going back. Woahh... I miss Korean foods. It's been so long I haven't eaten any since we came here."
Taehyung sighed with a pout.
"But we ordered Korean food sometimes here too."
"But it's still little bit different with what we eat in home."
"But isn't it still korean food?"
Then Jungkook smirked.
"Or... is it my cooking that you missed?"
He winked but Taehyung just rolled his eyes.
"What? If you say about what you eat in home, isn't it what I cook for you at home?"
"Forget it. You're annoying."
Taehyung humphed and turned to the other side, closing his eyes.
Jungkook just chuckled, he was having fun teasing the other.
He took out Taehyung's camera from the bag beside their seat and looked through the photos and videos they took. He smiled when he find some photos where Taehyung made weird and silly expressions, he still looked cute even when he make those face. Then in between many pictures of Taehyung he took, he found a picture of his back which he had no idea when it was taken. The background in the picture clearly showed it was when they were walking through a small alley. Did Taehyung take it? But when?
He kept the camera back to its place and turned to see Taehyung who already fell asleep while curling himself up. Taehyung looked so cute with his little pout that Jungkook instinctively capture the sight with his phone camera and smiled looking at the picture. He scrunched his nose when he zoomed in the picture and saw the little details of his face. He kept the picture as the wallpaper of his phone and smiled satisfyingly.
Then he took his own pillow keeping it under Taehyung's arms for him to hug it while he sleeps and smiled when Taehyung instantly grabbed the pillow and hug it tightly.
But... how a part of him still wished he was in the place of that pillow...
Yeah... that lucky pillow.
