Taehyung was sitting on the couch in the living room, fidgeting his fingers while waiting for Jungkook to come out from his room.
He's going to take Jungkook to meet Yoonji but he didn't tell him the truth yet. He don't even know what will happen when Jungkook came to know the truth when they reach there but he could just leave everything to faith.
He looked up when he heard footsteps only to see Jungkook walking down the stairs wearing a denim jacket over a white tshirt.
He stood in front of Taehyung and cleared his throat.
"Uh... How do I look? Is this ok?"
Jungkook asked with a slight smile while his hands were busy ruffling his hair as if he was trying to show something. Oh wait, did he come out with his hair down? Is he trying to show his hair to him?
Taehyung chuckled a bit when he realized it was him who told Jungkook to let his hair down and the other did really came out as what he told. He would have to admit that Jungkook did really look good in that hair with his outfit.
"Yeah. You... really look good today. And... I like your hair too."
Taehyung smiled but he surely did see a slight red tint over the other's cheek when he complimented him.
They left their house for the restaurant Taehyung wanted to go. The whole ride went with little talks between them but Taehyung could see the smile that never left Jungkook's lips. He kept starting little talks between them which took Taehyung a bit surprised because he had never seen Jungkook showing his excitement like that before.
What made him more surprised was when Jungkook told him not to get down from the car even after parking the car in front of the restaurant only to lend his hand for him to hold.
"Why are you acting like this today huh?"
Taehyung asked when Jungkook pulled out his chair with a smile.
"Why? You don't like it?"
Jungkook said as he took his seat across the table.
"It's not like that. I mean... you're acting as if we're--"
"Couple?"
Jungkook cut him off.
"W-what?"
"What are you so surprise for? Aren't we a couple already?"
"Wait, I mean--"
"This is a restaurant only for couples. Aren't you the one who chose this place for us?"
"Yeah, I chose this place but--"
"So we're on a date right? As a couple?"
"Huh?"
Taehyung couldn't find any words to say.
Was Jungkook getting so excited to go because he thought they were on a date?
Of course Jungkook was on a date but not with him. He's on a date with Yoonji. But how was he even going to tell Jungkook who was still staring at him as if he was waiting for his answer?
"Hi Taehyung."
Both Taehyung and Jungkook turned their heads when they heard a female voice only to find Yoonji standing beside their table.
"Oh Yoonji. You came?"
Taehyung smiled as he stood up and hugged her.
But someone was clenching his fist behind them.
"Jungkook I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I called her to join us since I couldn't introduce you two properly yesterday. It's alright for her to join us right?"
Jungkook just sat there, the excitement on his face was long left once he found Yoonji standing in front of them.
"Yeah sure. Why not?"
Disappointment was clearly shown even in his voice tone despite the smile he pulled up.
Just when they took their seats, Taehyung excused himself for a phone call only to return and say he need to go. Jungkook tried to stop him but the other just insisted to go by giving some excuses as a reason and left the two alone before anyone could say anything.
Silence took over the air between the two who doesn't even know each other properly, not knowing what to say or talk.
"Yoonji-ssi, I think we also need to go since Taehyung isn't here anymore. It was nice meeting you again."
"Jungkook-sii. Please wait."
Yoonji stopped Jungkook who already stood up from his seat.
"Can we have a talk if you aren't busy?"
"I'm sorry if I'm being rude but I think I don't have anything to talk with you Yoonji-ssi."
"It's fine. Let's have a drink at least, as to get to know each other."
Jungkook sighed as he sat down, it would be rude to decline a lady and just leave her alone.
"Thank you."
Yoonji smiled.
"And I'm sorry, it's supposed to be a secret but it was me who asked Taehyung to let me meet you. So please don't get angry on him for leaving you with me like this."
Jungkook tilted his head. He kind of got a hint that all this might be Taehyung's plan eventhough he don't know the reason behind it but he never expected Yoonji to tell it herself.
"And why are you telling me this?"
"Ah... it's just that I feel like suffocating when I keep a secret. I'm not good in keeping secrets. So please don't be mad at him. He was just doing what I asked him to do."
"Well, Taehyung did said you're quite sincere, guess it's true."
"What? Taehyung said like that? Woah, when did he learn to praise me?"
"I don't know but he praised you enough."
Jungkook poked his cheek with his tongue when he recalled how Taehyung was praising her the last night.
"But why did you want to meet me?"
"Uh... actually..."
Yoonji cleared her throat as she smiled shyly while tugging her hair behind her ears.
"You might not remember the day we bumped into each other but since that day, I wanted to meet you again but didn't think I would actually meet you again like this, as my friend's roommate. I asked him to let me meet you so I could get to know you more. I know I'm quite straightforward because I get those words from many people often. But I can't help it and end up doing the same thing again. I'm not gonna change this anyway so... I'm just gonna come to the point straight now too. Sorry I speak a lot."
She took a deep breath before she continued.
"Jungkook-ssi, you seem like a nice person, a gentleman, and I found you really handsome. So, in short, I like y--"
"I'm married Yoonji-ssi."
Jungkook cut her off with that and just casually took a sip of his wine as if he said something not so important.
"Huh? M-married?"
Yoonji widen her eyes. That was something she never expected Jungkook to say, not even in her dreams.
"Yeah. Taehyung didn't tell you?"
Jungkook asked.
"N-no?"
Yoonji answered but Jungkook just hung his head down, a faint disappointing smile rose up on his lips.
"Yoonji-ssi, I really appreciate your feelings for me but I think I need to tell you this before you get your hopes up too high for me. I understand how beautiful it feels to like a person, but someone once told me it will hurt if your feelings aren't returned by the person you like. So I don't want you to get hurt because of me since I'm not going to return your feelings. I'm already married to someone and I... I really treasure my someone more than anything else."
Jungkook smiled at himself at his own word.
"I think Taehyung was right. You're really annoying, do you know that?"
Yoonji just smiled to hide the drop of tear trying to escape her eyes. She felt sadness, disappointment and embarrassment at the same time.
"He said I'm annoying?"
Jungkook chuckled.
"Yeah. He even warned me you're really annoying that I won't be able to handle you."
Yoonji could just laugh out.
"Then, am I really annoying?"
"Yeah. You're too annoying and too nice. Annoying for rejecting a girl even before she could finish her confession. And too nice for treasuring your wife. Guess your wife might be the only one who can handle you."
"I guess so. And I want my wife to be the only one who can handle my annoyance."
Jungkook chuckled as a picture of Taehyung's annoyed expressions he made whenever he teased him flashed in the back of his mind.
"Your wife is really lucky Jungkook-ssi. I kinda feel jealous of her."
Yoonji said with a faint smile.
"So... when did you get married? You look young too."
"A month ago? Then why aren't you living with your wife now? Is it because of your work? If so, then don't you miss each other? It might be hard for you both to live separately like this when you just married."
"Who said we aren't living together?"
Jungkook tilted his head.
"But you're Taehyung's roommate right? Aren't you living with Taehyung now?"
"Of course."
"But you just said you're living with your wife."
"Yeah. Because Taehyung is my wife."
"Yeah but--- WHAT?"
Yoonji shouted widening her eyes in shock but ended up attracting everyone's attention in the restaurant.
She smiled awkwardly and bowed at everyone as an apology.
She quickly turned towards Jungkook who was casually taking another sip of his wine.
"What did you just say? Taehyung? He is your wife?"
"Yeah?"
"You and Taehyung? You two are married? When?"
"I just told you. We married one month ago."
"Oh my god! Oh my god! Wait. I need a moment. What? Seriously? Is this for real? You and Taehyung are... oh my!"
Jungkook just sat there looking at her blankly when Yoonji started squealing all of a sudden on her own. That was the least reaction he expected from her. But to his surprise, she looked... excited? More excited than the time she was about to confess him to be honest.
"Ok wait, well, actually, I may sound weird but I really love it when two guys are dating. I find them so cute. I even used to ship my elder brother with my another friend because they look cute together. But look at you both, you two are married. Oh my, I'm sorry but I'm way too excited right now."
Yoonji grinned, a bit embarrassed of how she reacted all of a sudden.
She completely forgot she actually came to confess to Jungkook.
"But I can't believe Taehyung really left his husband for a date with another girl. I know he might not be able to deny my request but he could've at least said you're his husband so I can back off on my own. Is he an idiot?"
"He is."
Jungkook said and both started laughing.
"Jungkook-ssi, I said I feel jealous of your wife before right? But now, I'm not jealous anymore. In fact, I feel so happy for Taehyung that it's him who got to be treasured by you. And I just want to tell you not to get mad at him or have any misunderstanding with him for leaving you alone with me like this. He's just too stupid."
"But I like it when he does stupid things. He's cute like that."
Jungkook just chuckled.
"Woah! Jungkook-ssi, do you like him that much?"
"Well..."
Jungkook smiled at himself to the question.
"I want to say it to him first."
"Huh? Means?"
Yoonji furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
Jungkook smiled as he took the last sip of his wine.
"Yoonji-ssi, will you do me a favour?"
"Yeah? Of course. What is it?"
"You said you're not good in keeping secrets right? But can you keep this a secret from Taehyung that you know about our marriage? I don't think he would be happy if he find out you came to know it from me. Please wait till he's ready to tell you about this himself."
"Well... Fine. I'll do it. I'll try my best not to spill anything before he tell me himself."
"Thank you Yoonji-ssi."
Jungkook bowed with a smile.
He could already tell Yoonji is such a sweet person, just as what Taehyung told him.
"Can't we just drop the honorifics? We're like friends now anyway. Just call me Yoonji and I'll call you Jungkook."
"Well, I don't have any problems with that either."
Both laughed as they clinked their glass for the last time.

"Darn it."
Taehyung threw his game controller and plopped down on his bed, looking up at the white ceiling of his room.
He was trying to play some games to distract his mind but he couldn't even concentrate anymore since his mind was occupied by the way Jungkook looked at him when he left them.
"Ahh... seriously. Why why why?"
He ruffled his own hair as his feet kicked the blanket and then got up to sit straight staring blankly at the walls.
"Why am I like this? Like why? I'm the one who left him there with her. She's a great girl and he'll definitely like her. I don't care if he's not back yet. I don't care if he wants to stay with her all night. Why should I care?"
He yelled at the innocent walls.
"But isn't it getting way too late now? Is he really not coming back? No. Wait. No. I don't care."
He shook his head as he talked to himself.
Then his eyes fell on his camera by the corner of the table.
"Yeah. Why should I care about that annoying bunny when I have lots of my own work?"
He got down from his bed and took the camera to check for the pictures and videos he took from Malta to edit them.
But, guess that was a bad idea to open the camera at the moment. All the pictures remind him of the times they spent together in Malta. The smiles they had on the pictures and videos clearly showed how happy they were to be together.
He found a video of him which he had no idea when it was taken. It was a video taken from his back while he was just simply walking and then running towards a cute dog, patting it happily.
It was just a normal video but a smile appeared on his lips when he could hear Jungkook's small giggles in the video.
Then he found a video of Jungkook making some weird faces to the camera which end up laughing and telling him to stop filming with a smile.
He recalled every moment they enjoyed, the smiles they had.
And the worst thing was the fear of Jungkook giving that smile to another girl other than him.
He hate that he want that smile only for himself. He hate that he want Jungkook to look only at him with those galaxy eyes. He hate that he wants to see Jungkook right at the moment. He hate himself for being selfish and greedy.
He hate those unfamiliar feeling that spread all over his body but he wanted Jungkook to come back to him this instant to hold him in those arms for a warm hug.
He miss him. He finally admit it himself. He miss Jungkook so bad.
But he could just stare on his camera screen with Jungkook's smiling picture, caressing it gently and wish for Jungkook to come back to him.
When he finally heard the sound of Jungkook's car, he felt as if all his strength wrapped up together to encourage his feet to run towards the door. So he ran down the stairs till he reach the front door and grabbed the doorknob, pulling it fast enough to open the door quickly.
A sudden relief rushed throughout his whole body when the door revealed a pair of surprised eyes looking at him.
Jungkook was back. His Jungkook really came back.
"Taehyung? What are you doing he---"
Taehyung didn't even let the other finish his words as he instantly threw himself on Jungkook, hugging him while wrapping his arms around the other's neck tightly. He couldn't figure out why his heart was racing its beats, it maybe because he came running or maybe because of longing warmth, but he didn't care it to be heard by Jungkook anymore as he clung onto him.
"Taehyung? What's wrong? Are you alright? Here, let me see--"
"No. Don't."
Taehyung shook his head as he tightened his grip.
"Ok. But let's go inside first. We can't just stand here--"
"Let me just stay like this a little longer."
Taehyung mumbled as he snuggled closer, burying his face under the crook of Jungkook's neck who just let him be and readily wrapping his arms around the frame clinging to him.
There was silence but it helped them to grasp the warmth from each other's arms.
But Taehyung gasped and quickly back away a few steps from Jungkook who was just standing there in surprise with the other's sudden action.
"Taehyung? What happen--"
"I'm sorry. I was... just..."
Taehyung was trying to keep his eyes elsewhere while thinking of an excuse but Jungkook took his step forward and cupped his face with his both hands, lifting his face up.
"Taehyung, look at me."
Jungkook said in a soft tone which made Taehyung to finally look at him.
"Were you waiting for me? Hmm? You wanted me to come back, don't you?"
Taehyung felt his own heartbeat getting wilder with every second their eyes spend staring at each other but no words came out. His mind couldn't think of any more excuses, all he could feel was the warm hands caressing his face.
"Yeah. I was. So what? I can't wait for you?"
He didn't even know why he said that while shouting.
But to his surprise, Jungkook ended up chuckling at him when he thought the other would actually get mad at his words.
"Of course you can wait for me. I would be more happy if you open the door for me everyday when I come back from work."
Wait. Doesn't that sounds like what actual couples do?
But why he even felt his face burning up when he imagine the scene of him opening the door for Jungkook and then welcoming him with a warm hug everyday?
"Don't get your hopes up. I was just waiting for you because... I'm hungry. Cook something for me."
He ended up with another stupid excuse.
"Just say you missed me. No need for your excuses."
Jungkook smirked with a wink.
"As if I'll even miss you."
Taehyung scoffed and turned back. But only himself knew he actually turned back to hide his cheeks turning red.
"I know you're blushing right now. Just admit it. You miss me right?"
Jungkook asked with a smirk while he put his hands inside his pants pocket but the other just walked inside the house leaving him by the door.
"Are you just gonna leave your husband here?"
He shouted with a laugh.
"Shut up and get inside! You have legs. it's not like I'll carry you."
Jungkook bursted out into another laughter when Taehyung shouted back at him.
"Oh yes. I'll make Japchae for you if you can carry me."
"I can't carry a pig like you."
"When did I become a pig? You said I'm a bunny right? Bunnies are cute."
"Don't talk to me. Pigs are cute too."
"So you're saying I'm cute?"
"Forget it."
"Why? Am I cute? I'll take it as a yes if you try to ignore it."
"Urgh! You're too annoying."
"Thank you."
