The sun was yet to be woken up, the night yet to surrender its darkness to the sun for it to be taken over with its brightness.
But Taehyung wasn't sleeping like he was supposed to, he couldn't sleep. The warmth from the other tried to lure him into sleep but his eyes just didn't want to miss out the chance to watch the way Jungkook sleeps peacefully with a pout. So there he was, still staring at the other who was sleeping beside him, smiling while brushing his fingers through the other's hair gently.
As he stared at Jungkook, he could clearly observed every details on his face which he never really notice before.
He smiled when he realized Jungkook's upper lip was so thin while the lower was kinda chubby. And yeah, those were the same lips he could feel not so long ago. Then he noticed a mole beneath his lips by his chin and it suddenly made the whole face look so much more attractive, like how?
He slowly caressed the other's face with his hand while tracing his thumb over the mole but only to find his cheeks surprisingly smooth and soft and squeezy like a marshmallow.
What if he just squeeze it?
Well, he couldn't stop himself so he did it, letting out quiet giggles when the other's lips formed a pout when he squeezed those cheeks. But he subconsciously moved himself forward until his lips touch the mole landing a quick small peck over it and then to the pouting lips.
What is he doing?
Doing all these while the other was sleeping? Has he gone insane?
But he knew one thing for sure, that he had fallen for the other too deeply before even realizing himself.
When did this happen actually?
He don't remember when he start falling for him but now, he just couldn't stop smiling while looking at the other. Didn't know if it's because he found out Jungkook is younger than him but he couldn't just help but to find him cute in everything.
A dim ray of light started peaking to the room through the curtains. Seems like the sun has finally woken up.
Taehyung slowly wriggled himself out from Jungkook's arms.
"Jungkook."
He whispered as he poked Jungkook's tip of nose with the tip of his forefinger but the other just snuggled closer to him wrapping his arms back around his waist.
"Good morning birthday boy."
Taehyung whispered again with a smile as he played with the other's ear who was smiling at the touch with eyes still closed, probably enjoying how the warm hand touched his cold earlobe.
"Wake up. Open your eyes and look over there. The sunrise is beautiful."
Jungkook half opened eyes.
"Why are you up this early?"
"Get up. Let's watch the sunrise."
Taehyung insisted again and who will say no to those pouts and whines?
Jungkook just sighed as he get down from the bed and let the other drag him towards the window seat.
He yawned as he wait for the other to open the window.
"Come here."
Taehyung excitedly held Jungkook's wrist and made him seat on the window seat while he sat on the other's lap, giggling and resting his back on his chest.
"What's happening? Today's the first time you wake up this early."
Jungkook said but Taehyung just turned to face him, kept his legs by his sides while wrapping his arms around his neck and smiled at him.
"You said you want to see the sunrise."
He said when Taehyung was just staring at him instead with a smile.
"Why are you stari--"
He was cut off when Taehyung pecked his lips.
"Happy birthday."
Taehyung grinned as he poked his nose with the other's.
Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung rest his head on his shoulder.
"Thank you."
"You're not going for work right?"
Taehyung mumbled, hugging the other tighter.
"Someone wants me to stay with him. So yeah. I may not?"
Jungkook replied and got to hear another soft satisfied giggle from the other.
"Then let's go shopping together. Since it's your birthday, if we go together, I might consider buying something for you as a gift."
Jungkook chuckled as he ruffled Taehyung's already messy hair.
"I told you I don't want anything else but if you insist on buying something for me that much than I might consider taking it."
Taehyung lifted his head and booped his nose to Jungkook's with a smile.
"That's more like it."
Both enjoyed their cozy little moment, and yeah, they missed the sunrise, not that they regret it, because they were watching their own sun in each other's eyes.

Taehyung ruffled his wet hair with a while towel hanging over his neck while he walked towards the kitchen, feeling refreshed after a warm bath.
A smile curled up when he saw Jungkook with a blue kitchen apron.
He could've drool over how hot Jungkook looked with the long sleeves of his black hoodie folded up till his elbow showing his firmed forearms, a total husband material to watch, if not for the squeezy cheeks and the cute pout he made while focusing. Even his hair that started to grow longer looked cute on him, like... how can a person look so manly and cute at the same time? Like, if he consider only the body, Jungkook has a perfectly built body with his broad chest and muscles, but he's like a whole different person if he look only at his face, with soft cheeks that he loves to squeeze, soft hair that he loves to play, boopy nose that he loves to poke, big doe eyes that holds the galaxy, tiny lips that he just want to give kisses.
"You're here already?"
A deep voice brought him back from his train of 'Jungkook appreciation' thoughts only to find himself already wrapping his arms around the other's waist from back.
Why do he always end up being clung onto Jungkook whenever he think about how perfect the other is, as if he was being pulled towards him?
"Yeah."
He smiled as he nuzzled his nose over the other's nape.
"Why didn't you dry your hair? It's all dripping on your shirt."
Jungkook turned only his head when he felt the touch over his nape, hands still busy cutting the carrots.
"You do it."
Taehyung chuckled as he rest his chin on the other's shoulder looking at how Jungkook was cutting carrots into pieces perfectly.
"I'm busy."
Jungkook replied, was expecting a whine from Taehyung but,
"Woah. How did you do it so easily? You got some awesome skills kid. Cool."
Taehyung was busy being amazed at something else.
Did he not hear what he said?
And did he just say kid? Would it be his fault now to reveal he's younger than him? Not that he don't like it though.
"Should I try it too? It's looks easy when you do it."
"It's not easy as you think."
"Let me do it once. Just once. Please? You'll let your Hyung do it once right? hmm?"
Jungkook sighed when Taehyung start whining, especially with the 'hyung'. He just gave up and handed the knife to the other.
"Fine. But be careful. The knife is sharp. Don't hurt yourself."
Taehyung grinned as he took the knife carefully with his one hand.
"Jungkook."
He called the other who was watching him while standing beside him with his arms crossed.
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
"Umm... how to do it?"
Jungkook just laughed watching the clueless expression on Taehyung's face while the other just rolled his eyes at him.
"Don't laugh. This is my first time doing this ok?"
"Why don't you just leave it, hmm? Let me do it. Go and dry your hair instead."
But Jungkook sighed when Taehyung was still sulking.
"Come here."
He stood behind Taehyung holding the knife with the other's hand.
"Like this."
He slowly cut the carrot so Taehyung could understand.
"Jungkook, should we make a cake for your birthday?"
Jungkook stopped his hand and looked at the other. From where did he brought the idea about making a cake while cutting carrots?
"Do you know how to make cake?"
"No."
Taehyung grinned as if he was saying a yes.
"Then who will make the cake?"
"You."
Taehyung stuck his tongue out while the other glared at him.
"So you mean I should make my own birthday cake?"
Taehyung chuckled as he kept the knife back on the table and turned back to face Jungkook.
"Yeah. You should."
He smiled, wrapping his arms around the other's neck.
The glare on Jungkook's eyes was long vanished, already softened when he moved his face closer towards him. Damn, there goes his weakness.
Just when their lips were about to feel each other,
Jungkook's phone started ringing from the living room.
"I'll go get it for you."
Taehyung cleared his throat as he tried to go away but Jungkook suddenly held his wrist and pulled him back closer until he let his lips landed where it was supposed to be.
"You can go now."
Taehyung felt his face burning up when he saw the smile on Jungkook before his feet start taking steps towards the phone on the couch.
The picture of Jungkook's smile a moment ago became more clearer in his mind with his every step. And the only thing he could think of was,
Why was he smiling like that?
Was his smile always that beautiful?
Was he always that attractive when he smile?
But just now, he look... so cute?
Did he take too much time in walking till the living room which was just the next to the kitchen? Even the phone stopped ringing before he could pick it up.
He was about to just bring the phone to the kitchen and give it to Jungkook but something caught his eyes.
"Who is it?"
Jungkook turned when he heard footsteps but Taehyung was staring at his phone.
Was the call from his company? Did Taehyung answer it? He didn't hear anything, did he? Is that why Taehyung's staring at his phone? Did he find out anything?
"Jungkook."
Taehyung looked up as he stand beside the other.
"What's this?"
Jungkook gulped as he hung his head down, nervous on what would happen next if Taehyung really find out.
"Well... I--"
"Why did you do this?"
Jungkook couldn't even look up. Taehyung's voice sounded... kinda mad?
"I... I can explain--"
"Yeah. Give me the explanation. When did you take this picture?"
"Huh? Picture?"
Jungkook snapped his head up just to see Taehyung holding his phone and showing him the picture on his lockscreen.
"Yeah. Tell me. When did you take this picture and why is it your lockscreen?"
Jungkook just stood there with his mouth agape.
So he was worried and nervous for nothing?
And what? Is Taehyung mad only for keeping his picture as his lockscreen? The picture he took while the other was sleeping on the plane when they went for honeymoon.
Yeah he hadn't change it still. Why would he change it anyway? The picture was adorable.
"So what if I keep it as my lockscreen? That's how you look when you sleep. At least you know how funny you look. You look like a bear."
Jungkook stuck his tongue out as Taehyung rolled his eyes at him.
But he could say he felt relief that Taehyung didn't find out about him.
"Funny? Bear? So what about you then? Do you know you look like a real rabbit when you sleep? With your teeth like this."
Taehyung said while imitating how Jungkook sleeps.
"But rabbits look cute. So you mean I look cute while sleeping. Right?"
Jungkook smirked when Taehyung scorned at him.
"Don't lie. I know I look cute and I know you think the same too. Isn't that why you're always caught staring at me whenever I sleep?"
"Ugh! You're still the same annoying bunny."
Taehyung huffed and tried to go away but Jungkook caught him between his arms from back.
"But you like this annoying bunny of yours right?"
"No. I hate you."
Taehyung whined when Jungkook pecked his neck.
He hate that he always end up getting flustered everytime he try to get mad at Jungkook.
But he loves the way how the other always managed to make his heart flutter.
Then his eyes fell on the wedding ring on Jungkook's finger when he looked at the hands around his waist. He remembered how Jungkook ask him before to wear it everyday but he never really paid attention if the other was wearing it himself or not.
Since when he was wearing it?
He thought while caressing the other's hand before locking their fingers together and smiled at himself looking at his hand perfectly fitting with the other's. Their hands looks good together with the matching wedding ring on their fingers and yeah, the matching couple bracelets on their wrists.
They really looked like real couple now.
"Taehyung, don't you think we should eat early so we can go shopping soon?"
Taehyung realized they'd been standing there just like that for too long only after Jungkook said it. They forgot they were supposed to be cooking right now.
"Didn't I tell you to call me Hyung?"
Just when Jungkook was about to say something, his phone started ringing again. Yeah, he forgot he got a call from someone.
"It's Mom. Wait a second ok?"
Taehyung pouted when he no longer could feel the arms around him.
Was he too used to being secured between those arms in such a short time that he started to miss them so soon?
"She called me to wish for my birthday. She wanted to come here and surprise me but had to go visit her sister in Gwacheon with dad. My aunt is not well it seems."
Taehyung stared at Jungkook keeping his phone on the table and started cutting the remaining vegetables silently.
Jungkook looked sad, even his voice sounded down.
"Do you miss her?"
Taehyung said after giving Jungkook a warm hug from back.
He thought the other might need one at the moment.
He suddenly felt guilty. He was the one who approached Jungkook to ask for help, he was the reason why Jungkook had to live with him separately from his parents, he blamed himself as the reason why Jungkook couldn't even meet his own parents on his birthday. If it's not for him, the other could've meet them at least by the morning.
"Well, to be honest, yeah. But it's fine. I'm not a kid."
Jungkook said with a plain laugh.
He obviously looked sad.
"We can go visit them on weekends when they come back. Don't be sad."
Taehyung said calmly as he tightened his grip around the other but Jungkook just chuckled and turned back.
"Who said I'm sad? I'm totally fine."
But Taehyung knew he was lying because he could already see it through his eyes.
"Then let's just go shopping now. I'll buy you anything you want."
He moved back a little, still hugging him and grinned, hoping he could lightened the mood by changing the topic
"What about this? We'll go after eating. Aren't you hungry."
Jungkook said, pointing at the vegetables that still need to be prepared.
"Ok. Then let's hurry. Your hyung will buy you so many things for your birthday. Thank me later."
Taehyung patted Jungkook's shoulder with a wink while the other rolled his eyes at him.
"Go and dry your hair first."
"You do it."
"No. I have to cook."
"Don't cook."
"Then you're going to starve today."
"Don't worry. I won't be the only one to starve."
"That's why I have to cook."
"Dry my hair first and cook later."
"Do it yourself. You have your own hands."
"I want you to do it."
"Fine. But if I do it, you have to cook today."
"No."
"You have to. Now come here. Let me dry your hair."
"No thanks. I'll do it myself."
"No. I'll do it. Come here."
"No."
"Come back here. Don't run."
"Why are you chasing me!? NOOO!! JUNGKOOK! AAAHHH! SAVE ME !"
‐‐‐
"So, you're not coming today because you're going for a shopping date with Taehyung?"
"Yeah."
Jungkook said while combing his hair in front of the mirror.
He called Hoseok to say he won't come to the company but the older kept asking the reason so he had to tell him everything.
"Oohhh! I never thought the workaholic CEO will ever go on dates by ditching his work. Why does this feel like you're cheating on your wife with a new girlfriend?"
"Hyung. Don't start it now please."
Jungkook rolled his eyes when the other start teasing him.
"Ok. Ok. I won't. But to be honest, I'm really happy for you Jungkook. You really needed something like this. I'm glad things are working out well between you two. At least you'll now enjoy your life with him from now on."
Jungkook smiled at Hoseok's words. They love teasing each other, they always do but they can be someone who can give comfort to each other.
"Yeah. I really enjoy being with him."
"Oohh. Don't brag about your love life in front of a single like me."
Jungkook laughed as he shook his head.
"Anyways, Happy birthday Jungkook. Enjoy your date. I'll manage everything here so don't worry."
"Thank you hyung."
Jungkook smiled.
"Ah. I told you not to thank me. Oh Wait. Where are you going after shopping?"
"After shopping? I don't know."
"You don't know? Hmm. I'm sure this is your first time going for a date. Right?"
"Well. Yeah? So?"
"Did you plan to take Taehyung anywhere today after shopping?"
"Well. I'm not sure."
"Jungkook. Are you just going to come back home right after shopping?"
"Maybe? Or I may take him somewhere? I don't know."
"If you're going, then take him to an amusement park or something and bring him inside a scary house."
"Yeah but why a scary house?"
"Don't you know? In movies and dramas, when the actors go inside scary house, the girl will get scared and cling to the boy?"
"But why would you bring up about movie now?"
"Don't you get my point? If you bring Taehyung there, he might get scared and cling onto you. Then you can get a chance to hold his hand and protect him and show him your braveness."
"Hyung. Taehyung is a man. And he's not a kid. He won't get scared."
"Oh. Yeah. I forgot your condition is different. But what if he's someone who can get scared easily? It's not like every male don't get scared. Specially me? You can take me as an example."
"He's not-- wait. He's scared of thunder."
"That's it. He might get scared of the scary house. Just take him there."
"But I don't think that's good. If he's really scared of those things, then he might not like it."
"I don't know either. I've never been to any dates. I just said what I saw from movies. You can do whatever you think that's good."
"It's fine Hyung. I will do it in my own way."
"My brother is all grown up now."
"Don't start it again Hyung. I'll go check if Taehyung's ready. I'll let you take care of my works in the company for today."
Jungkook hung up the call after Hoseok wish for his birthday for the last time.
He put his phone in his pocket as he stood in front of the mirror, checking himself for the last time, satisfied with the black jacket over a black T-shirt and the gray comfortable sweatpants he wore. It's quite chilly so he wore something warmer. He smiled when he realized how he find himself unknowingly getting dress up nicely whenever he'll be going out with Taehyung.
But it's different this time. Even if it's just a shopping date, he's going on a real date with Taehyung after they know how they feel for each other and it's on his birthday. So it's special.
He grabbed this favorite bucket hat before walked out of his room towards the other's room, with the smile still on his lips.
"Are you done?"
He knocked the door.
He was hoping Taehyung would dress up nicely, just like he did, and ask him how he look with a shy smile and a blush.
But,
"Jungkook. Come here. Quick. My earring. It got stuck here."
Just when he opened the door, Taehyung screamed with his neck tilting on the side, attached to his shoulder, looks like his earring stuck on his shirt.
That's not what he expected to see when he opened the door but he rushed towards him and helped the other.
"Your earring is not even that long. How did it got stuck here? I thought you'll be ready by now."
Jungkook removed the earring from his earlobe carefully and then from his shirt.
"I was almost done ok? But it suddenly got stuck here when I lift my hand up. I was about to call you to help me. I won't wear this anymore."
Taehyung took the earring from Jungkook's hand and kept it inside his drawer. He put on his gray hoodie and fixed his hair.
"I'm done. Let's go."
"Are you really going to come just like that?"
Jungkook looked at Taehyung up and down. The other's outfit looked definitely cute on him but it kinda felt like too casual than his for a date.
"Of course. What's wrong?"
Taehyung replied blinking his eyes, totally clueless about what Jungkook was trying to mean.
"No. I mean. We're going out, aren't we?"
"Yeah. So what? It's more comfortable like this. We're just going for shopping anyway? Or, are we going somewhere else after shopping?"
Jungkook cleared his throat.
"No. Of course not."
He lied. He actually planned to bring Taehyung somewhere but he just can't tell him now. Not yet. It's supposed to be a surprise.
Wait. A surprise? Isn't it his own birthday? But just now, why it sounds like it's Taehyung's birthday and he's planning a surprise for him?
"Then let's go. Hyung will buy a nice gift for this birthday boy."
There he goes again, with the 'hyung' thing. It's not that he doesn't like it, he felt like being babied by an elder brother when Taehyung squeeze his cheeks and boop his nose while addressing himself as his hyung, which he started to find it cute.

"Jungkook, I'll get a drink from there. You want one?"
Jungkook shook his head with a "no" as Taehyung gave him the shopping bags to hold before going to get his own drink across the road.
They were done with their shopping with Taehyung ended up buying some simple pyjamas and sleepwear because Jungkook was insisting him he needs some of those and to buy only that much for him.
But Taehyung surely bought more for himself.
Jungkook watched the other turning back to smile at him after ordering his drink, which he returned immediately.
His smile got wider when Taehyung walked towards him holding the drink.
Taehyung looked so cuddly and cute with his long fluffy hair messily blown to the sides from the wind while crossing the road. The sun wasn't that bright, but was enough to glisten his skin when it landed on him.
Just when Taehyung stood before Jungkook, he signed something, humming while sipping his drink with the straw still in his mouth, his other free hand lending out to him.
Jungkook didn't understand what the other was trying to say. By looking at the hand lending out at him, was Taehyung asking to hold his hand? He want to hold hands even if they were in public? How more cute can he be?
He smiled as he grabbed the hand, holding it tightly and looked at Taehyung proudly, expecting a cute giggle. But the other was just staring at him blankly with eyes wide opened.
What? Isn't that what he was asking for? But rather than a happy expression, why he looked so surprised? No, more like a shock?
And what's with the glare? Did he do something wrong?
"Why are you holding my hand? I wanted the bags. Aren't they heavy?"
Taehyung asked blinking his eyes in confusion.
What? So he only wanted the bags? Not his hand? How... embarrassing?
"So what if I hold your hand? Are you scared people will look at us?"
But he's Jungkook. So he's not gonna admit that he took the wrong idea. It's better to hold his hand than getting teased in the middle of the road.
"No. It's not like that. I like holding your hand. But aren't they heavy? You're literally holding those big bags with only your one hand. Won't your hand get numb if you hold them for long? We still have to walk till we reach our car."
Jungkook cleared his throat. To be honest, his hands already started to feel a little pain because the handle of the bags were small and thin that felt as if they were digging his skin. But he's still not going to admit it yet. He and his so called self-esteem who doesn't accept losing.
"Is it because I'm younger? Do you think I'm weak who can't even hold these mere bags?"
He yelled suddenly that Taehyung even flinched.
But why did he even yelled?
"Why are you getting mad? I just asked you to give some of the bags to me so I can hold some."
Taehyung started pouting, furring his eyebrows.
"I'm not mad. I'm just saying I'm stronger than you think even if I'm younger than you. I do workouts everyday. I can even lift you up and carry you to the car now. Should I do it?"
"No. No. It's... it's fine. It's fine. I get it. So you can carry all those bags alone quietly. Ok? Let's hold hands instead."
Taehyung was almost got carried by Jungkook if he didn't stop him before anyone notice them.
Jungkook smirked when Taehyung tightened the grip in their hands.
Yeah. He won. But the smug look on his face started to fade away when he realized how his hands started to feel numb already. Looks like the thin handles blocked the vessels beneath his skin that the tips of his fingers already turned white which made him feel like the bag was pulling his shoulders down. Is this his karma?
But he cared the numbness less because his other hand was holding Taehyung's warm hand. Because of his little lie, eventhough it was quite painful, he could hold his hand, in public, where people can easily noticed them.
But the way Taehyung intertwined their fingers together as they walked side by side, carelessly sipping his drink from time to time while looking around through his sunglasses, it's really endearing.
He found himself smiling while staring at the person walking by his side. Taehyung was just in his casual simple hoodie but his face was enough to make him look effortlessly beautiful.
How can he pull off those simple outfits so gorgeously?
He blamed the sunglasses for covering those beautiful eyes, if it's not for them, he could've willingly drown himself into them without any regrets.
He was busy admiring the beauty beside him that he didn't even realize they were already standing in front of their car.

"Jungkook? Where are we going?"
Taehyung asked when Jungkook took the turn opposite from the way to their house.
"There's a place I really wanna go. Let's go there first."
Jungkook smiled when Taehyung nodded without any complaints.
They exchanged little talks, laughing when they joked around, until they reach somewhere Taehyung had no idea of where it was.
He asked Jungkook but the other just dragged him along grabbing his wrist.
Taehyung had no idea where he was until they enter a huge hall by the end of the alley.
Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung gasped when he finally realized they were in a skating field.
It looked like there was an event held there and just ended not so long ago. People were already exiting from the hall.
"Let's just sit here for now and wait for those people to finish wrapping up."
Jungkook sat on one of the seat and tapped the seat next to him for Taehyung to sit which the other obeyed with a nod.
"What are we going to do here?"
Taehyung turned to Jungkook.
"What? We're going to skate here."
Jungkook replied with a smile, expecting an exciting clap but Taehyung was just blankly looking at him with a pout.
"You don't like skating? Wait. Don't tell me you don't know how to skate?"
"It's not like I don't like skating, but I'm... kinda... scared, a bit."
Jungkook was about to say something to tease him but,
"Oh? Hyung?"
They turned back when an unfamiliar voice called them from behind only to reveal a smiling unfamiliar face.
It was a boy, he looked much younger than them, maybe around the age of 17 or 18 but he was tall, almost same height as them.
But to whom was he calling 'hyung'? It's not like Jungkook had seen him before.
He kept looking at the boy up and down curiously but someone beside him didn't seem to be that confused like him.
He noticed Taehyung's eyes widened, he look... surprised? And he was even returning a bright smile to the boy.
So, he was calling 'hyung' to Taehyung?
And why Taehyung looked happy to see him? Who is he?
His curiosity gotten higher when Taehyung stood up and called out the boy's name.
"Sunghoon-ah?"
