After silence for a few seconds, Jungkook, when he realized, finally walked towards Taehyung who was still standing by the door with the staff.
"Taehyung, uh... you're here already? Why did you come here?"
He asked with a smile, trying to break the awkward silence, as he quickly signed the staff with his finger, making sure Taehyung not notice it, to go out who instantly dashed out of the room.
Taehyung just stared at Jungkook's opened buttons that was giving a partial view of his husband's chest and then glared at Hoseok who was still in daze from the previous sudden shock.
"Nothing. I'm here to see you. I just missed my husband."
He said, emphasizing the word 'my' with a smile but anyone can tell how creepy it looked, it wasn't the sweet or cheerful smile he usually wear anymore.
"Winter is gonna start soon. You don't want to catch a cold now, do you?"
He was literally glaring at Hoseok when he say it while buttoning Jungkook's shirt up.
Hoseok cursed himself in his mind silently. He already understood Taehyung definitely took the wrong way from what he saw when he entered the room and is actually doing it on purpose.
"Yeah, yeah. I get it. I can understand you're either jealous or mad or whatever. So your glare on me is acceptable, at least. That glare is already more than enough but being lovely-dovely together right in front of me? At least have some mercy for singles like me, like? Man, I feel so lonely all of a sudden?"
Hoseok murmured alone, trying to look away while clearing his throat.
Jungkook pressed his lips together trying to hold his laugh when he noticed Hoseok's face being so done at them and it was too funny to handle. He kinda felt guilty for doing this to him but he couldn't help.
And he definitely understood Taehyung was jealous. He thought the other would get upset or something but kinda felt relieved and happy at how Taehyung trusted him to be ready to claim what's his with so much confidence instead of being just believing something he barely see or know and get upset over it.
Or... should he just say he was impressed by that?
Yeah, of course. That's his man after all.
"Shall we go outside and talk? We just can't stay here, you know."
He held Taehyung's hand and smiled when the other nodded.
But he couldn't help but laugh when Taehyung glared at Hoseok with a smug smile before walking out of the room, holding the hands that only belongs to him.
"Why did you come here? You said you're going to Jimin's place."
Jungkook asked when they finally stood by a corner of balcony where people won't hear them.
"Yeah, I was already on my way when he called me to say he need to finish some work in his cafe first. So I just decided to come here while I still have some time. Besides, I wanted to visit this building since a long time. This is one of the best gaming company after all, we can't just go inside easily. But I'm finally here. Thanks to you."
"So you're here to see the company, not me? You said you missed me just now."
Jungkook pout but Taehyung just crossed his arms.
"Of course I missed you but never expected I'll be witnessing you walking around the company with an unbuttoned shirt showing off your chest. So I wanted to see if the company's air conditioner is working or not since someone doesn't seem to feel cold anymore."
Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung said it with a straight face.
"Are you being possessive? Or jealous? That other might see it?"
He winked with his eyebrows but the other just scoffed.
"If you know so much, then don't you even dare walk around here with unbuttoned shirt anymore. Or else, I'll make you resign from this company, make you unemployed and take you somewhere."
Jungkook couldn't help but smile scrunching his nose at the way Taehyung sounded so serious being all cute with the pout.
"Where will you take me to if I do it again?"
But he asked anyway, just curious of what the other will say.
"To the woods."
Taehyung glared.
Jungkook tilted his head, trying to hold his laugh.
"Well, if you're really taking me to the woods with you, I'll gladly follow you there."
"So are you saying you'll keep walking around here with unbuttoned shirt?"
Jungkook couldn't hold anymore when the other frowned, didn't know Taehyung would look this cute while getting angry, so he ended up laughing covering his face with his hand.
He just couldn't help but laugh more when he realized their stupid cute little fight all started from the unbuttoned shirt and they actually were talking only about the button the whole time, and he couldn't even believe himself he was enjoying the button talk for real.
"Ok. Fine. I can't win over you. I'll never open my buttons from now on. I promise."
He finally gave in.
"But trust me. I didn't do it on purpose. They opened by mistake."
He clarified himself again, just in case.
"I know. I trust you. But I don't trust others. Specially your boss. That CEO."
"Huh? My boss?"
Jungkook tilted his head blinking his eyes.
"Why?"
"Just... I just don't like him."
"But you just saw him today for the first time."
"Why are you defending him?"
"I'm not. I'm just saying. I mean, why would you dislike someone when you don't even know them? What did he do to you?"
"I don't know. But he's always giving you so much work everyday. Does he even realize it can affect your health if you overwork? You just joined the company not so long ago and he's loading you with so many works that you don't even have time to have lunch with me."
Jungkook just stared at Taehyung with a smile, wondering if he can find anything more cute than his man, because the way Taehyung worried for him and getting upset just for not being able to eat together and saying he don't like Hoseok just because he thinks he's his boss who give him work was just so precious.
He took Taehyung's hand with a smile.
"It's fine. There's not much of work and he's not giving me work to do. And I take care of my health well, don't you see I'm fine and healthy? So don't worry, hmm?"
He said, caressing the hand gently.
"Then what were you doing in his office room?"
Jungkook chocked on his own saliva, that's actually his room.
"Well... uh... just, I went to give him... a file? Yeah, a file."
He made up something that crossed his mind, clearing his throat.
"But he's still giving you work."
Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung frowned with a pout.
"It's just a simple work. I'm working here and this is my job. Of course I'll have works to do. I can do it at least, it's nothing for me."
But Taehyung was still pouting so he cupped his face with his hand, staring at those concerned eyes looking at him.
"No one is giving me work to do here. I'm doing it on my own because everyone here are all too dumb to do it and only I can do it easily. I'm smarter then anybody here in this company you know."
He winked and that's when Taehyung finally ended up chuckling.
"But I still don't like your boss."
Taehyung added again, his fingers interwining with the other's.
"There you go again."
Jungkook chuckled, his other hand ruffling Taehyung's hair.
"It's just... you said he's strict too and I don't like it when the boss is strict. You even had to follow him around as if you're his secretary or something. Does he want you beside him that much?"
"I don't follow him around tho."
The fact is that, it's the other way around in reality and it still made it more funny for him.
"Does he fire his employees if they make any mistakes?"
"Well..."
Jungkook cleared his throat when recalled the time when he fired some of his employees before.
"Uh... y-yeah. Sometimes."
"That's it. I don't like him more now."
"Huh? Why?"
Jungkook panicked a bit, something crossed his mind, like, what if Taehyung don't like the real him?
"Just... I don't like it. Just think about it, you're working so hard at your best. But what will you feel if you get fired just because you made a mistake or did something? You might not do it on purpose, it might be your mistake and if you still get fired even after saying sorry, what will you do? If you're really bad at your work and problematic who make mistakes constantly or do bad things like betraying the company for money or whatever, then that's understandable, at least. But still, the salary from this work might be the only thing to keep up with their family for some people. If they lost this job, they'll suffer a lot, don't you think? There're still families who don't live a well life."
Taehyung sighed.
"Well, our CEO is not like that tho. He don't fire people without any reason."
Jungkook said, referring to himself. He gets what Taehyung was trying to mean but he, at least, wanted to clear his name as a strict boss from Taehyung. He's not that strict, that's what he thought of himself. He didn't want Taehyung to think of him that way eventhough the boss is not him for Taehyung as of now.
"See? You're defending him again."
"What? I'm not."
"Then why would he make you follow him to meetings which you don't even need to attend?"
"Taehyung, it's nothing like that, ok?"
Jungkook sighed when Taehyung finally stopped whining about it.
"Then what kind of boss do you want?"
He asked, just wanted to know Taehyung's thoughts.
"Me? Umm... well, for me... if I ever get a job, I think I would prefer a calm and a friendly boss."
Jungkook choked on his own saliva. Calm and friendly? That's absolutely not him.
"Won't the employees take advantage if the boss is too friendly and calm?"
He asked after clearing his throat.
"I don't mean he should be too friendly or too calm or whatever, I just feel like... it would be nice to have a friendly boss. I'm not saying he should be too easy going to let other take advantage of him, but just... make his employees feel comfortable to be around him, someone who can make one enjoy working with him. But, yeah, he should of course maintain a line so they will respect him, but the respect should be from their heart, a true respect towards him for being kind to them, not an unwilling respect which they have the need to have just because he's their boss and they're scared of him. And yeah, if they are too scared of the boss, they'll make more mistakes as well. It might make them feel so stressed over what the boss would say and their works will automatically become a burden to them. You know, people makes more mistake than they should be if they have too much tension and stress over what they are doing. Everyone has the right to enjoy what they're doing. Isn't it?"
Jungkook nodded, Taehyung got the point. Because he just realized how his employees get stressed over giving a simple presentation in front of him in conference meetings and how they always make mistakes everytime which definitely pissed him off more, they were literally shaking just while talking to him about work.
"Am I really too strict to them?"
He asked to himself. But he now understood his employees never looked comfortable around him, they never even dare to look at him in eyes.
But why? He never say anything or talk to them other than work related things so why are they so scared of him? Or, maybe what made them scared of him more is that he never say anything or talk to them about other things than work?
But that's how he is, that's what he is. Not only to his workers, but to everyone, he never speak anything to anyone. He never even opened up to anyone or tend to speak about himself or joke around other than Taehyung, and that's what amazed himself too.
Hoseok, of course, he can speak to him freely, because they've know each other for a long time and Hoseok, eventhough it's not everything, know many things about him. Hoseok was like his big brother who understands him even from the time they first met without the need to say anything to him.
Moreover, Hoseok was the one who approached him and start a conversation, which he never thought their friendship would last this long, because he's someone who tend to keep everything inside. But Taehyung was the first person whom he approached by himself to initiate a conversation.
He still can't believe himself why and how did he even managed to talk to him on the first day he saw him playing the game. He was never a person to approach a stranger until he met Taehyung. He still wonder sometimes why did he even agree to help him and play along while pretending as his boyfriend when he could've just ignored it, how did he even become bold enough to tease a stranger just too see his reactions which he find them cute, everything still felt strange. It felt like it was the another him, the other side of him that was kept hidden deep down behind the dull and gloomy him. But guess that was the best move he ever take in his life. Because it felt like the hidden cheerful side of him has awaken because of that move he took. If it was the same old him, if he didn't take the first move, if he didn't approach him to play game with him, Taehyung wouldn't be standing in front of him now, Taehyung wouldn't be staring at him now with his sparkling eyes that he adores the most.
He has now changed into a more cheerful person, he smiles more often, he talks more, he can joke around, and yeah, he found someone whom he can love with all his heart. It's strange how all these are possible for him because of Taehyung and how he can feel at ease to do these things only to Taehyung. But he get it now, it's because Taehyung made him feel so comfortable to be around him that he's able to do the things he can never do with any person other than Taehyung.
Maybe that's what Taehyung was trying to say. If he, at least make his employees feel comfortable to talk to him freely without stressing out like they always did, they might be more relaxed to do their work more perfectly.
"Hey, what are you thinking so much? Just leave it. I was just saying what I feel. You don't need to think much about it. All you need is to just make sure you don't make mistakes while working or you'll be fired. And if you're too stressed, you can call me, talk to me, anytime. I'll listen whatever it is. So just chill. You're not the boss anyway."
Taehyung chuckled as he ruffled Jungkook's hair.
You're not the boss anyway?
Well, he is. He's the CEO. But Taehyung doesn't know it and it hit him hard when he said it.
"I kinda envy your life, simple and free. You can go wherever you want, you can do whatever you want. And there's me, living a life like a bird inside a golden cage. I get whatever things I want, clothes, foods, everything, I live in a big, luxurious and comfortable house, my parents loves me, take good care of me. But I don't have the most important thing, freedom and happiness of life. I never get to experience or enjoy my life like what other people do. I feel like I'm always under a line where I can't cross beyond that."
Taehyung smiled at himself before continuing.
"But thank God I met you. I haven't done anything I dreamed of yet, but still, now I feel like I finally made to open the door of that golden cage. You're just like a magic key for me that appeared in front of me out of nowhere to free me."
Jungkook smiled as he lean to land a gentle and soft lingering peck on his forehead, closing his eyes with a relief that Taehyung is his.
"From where did you learn to say such things, huh? You sound like a poet just now."
He chuckled when Taehyung rolled his eyes at him.
"Jungkook"
Taehyung tightened the grip of their hands.
"You know, to be honest, I'm kinda glad that instead of a rich CEO or whatever, you're someone with a small job living a simple life, working hard at your best. That's what I like about you more."
Jungkook gulped at the word. Glad that Taehyung wasn't looking at him in the eyes but to their interlocking hands, because if he did, the other would've caught how nervous he was at the words. He couldn't utter a word but just stared at the male holding his hand, eyes filled with guilt for the biggest lie he hid.
"I know you like your work very much and I know you're doing your best too. But I'm just, kinda, worried about your health. I know you take care of yourself by working out everyday, of course, and you're fit and fine. But I'm still worried. I just don't want you to overwork yourself."
Jungkook just stood there, biting his lip, because what Taehyung just said made it more difficult for him to tell the truth, more like he's scared of telling the truth, a fear of Taehyung not liking the real him and a fear of losing Taehyung.
But he knew the truth can't be kept hidden for too long, because one or the other day, Taehyung would definitely find out about it for sure and it would be best if he himself is the one to tell him. The more the earlier, the better. Maybe that might give him a chance to explain himself.
So, after wrapping up all his courage to open his mouth, he tightened the grip of their holding hands as if he would lose him in a moment.
"Taehyung, I want to say something."
"Hmm? Yeah, of course you can. What is it?"
Taehyung's eyes sparkled with excitement as he smiled, waiting for the other to say something.
Jungkook took a deep breath,
"Taehyung, I--"
"Oh, wait. It's Jiminie. Just a second, yeah?"
Jungkook was interrupted before he could even say anything when Taehyung's phone started ringing. He bit his lower lip nervously while waiting for the other to hang up the call.
"He said he's already waiting for me in his place. I think he's done with his work."
Taehyung turned to him after putting his phone back in his pocket.
"Ah, sorry. Now tell me. What were you going to say just now?"
Jungkook really wanted to say it too but he swallowed his words back. Guess it's not the right tie to say it, because Taehyung still have somewhere to go, he has a meeting, and plus, they were in the company.
So he thought maybe it'll be better to tell him when they are home, together and alone. Because he's gonna need dome time to explain all the things calmly so Taehyung would understand him.
"It's nothing. I'll say it later."
He just shook his head slightly with a smile.
"Why? Say it now already. Or, is it something important?"
"Yeah, kinda. So I'll say it tonight, when I get back home."
Taehyung smiled at that.
"Fine then. I'll wait for you. Come back early."
"Yeah."
Jungkook smiled, still holding the other's hand tightly.
"Then, I'll go now."
"Yeah."
"Yeah?"
Taehyung chuckled when he realized how both of them weren't even willing to let go of each other's hands.
And the way Jungkook kept staring at him with the heart eyes was making him lost in it.
He took a short glance towards the sides, checking if there's anyone around who can see them and after making sure no one can see them, he reached for Jungkook's lips for a quick peck.
He giggled at how surprised the other's eyes looked.
"Come back early and tell me what you want to say. I'll buy ten dozen turtleneck shirts and keep it for you when you come back."
"What? Ten dozen? But why?"
"So you can wear them each everyday instead of your stupid shirts with these stupid buttons. They don't behave so you're allowed to wear only the turtlenecks from now on, they are more decent than your white shirts."
Jungkook couldn't help but laugh at that, Taehyung's possessive side was just too adorable and funny.
"Fine. Guess I'm gonna wear only turtlenecks from now on."
Taehyung chuckled.
"Ok. I'm seriously going now, for real."
He smiled as they finally let go of each other's hand.
"Do you still have work to do?"
"I have to attend some meeting and that's all. It won't be that long I guess."
"With the CEO?"
"Taehyung."
"I'm just kidding."
Taehyung smiled.
"Fine then. Focus on your work. Fighting!"
Jungkook nodded with a smile, waving his hand at Taehyung before the other left.
He let out a sigh as he walked back towards his office room lazily.
"Do you think our CEO is dating now?"
Jungkook paused his feet when he heard one of his employee speaking when he was passing the office cabins.
"Right. Even I sometimes feel the same. Doesn't he look quite relaxed nowadays than before?"
Another male voice spoke.
"Like, I can't imagine our CEO having a girlfriend. But, if he's really dating now, I really wanna see the girl. She must be either really pretty or very intelligent for our cold CEO to fall for her."
Jungkook tilted his head at what he just heard from a female staff.
Dating? Girlfriend?
No lady, he's married and he has a beautiful wife *cough* husband who just promised to buy him turtleneck shirts and left.
"But Sunbae-nim, what if our CEO likes men?"
Jungkook almost tripped while standing when he heard it from another female voice, probably of one of the intern he assumed.
"Eunhye-ssi, you're too young and naive for this world. Please don't say such things about our CEO."
The same male voice spoke again.
"Sunbae-nim, I may be younger and I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but there's nothing wrong in same gender relationships. I personally take this kind of relationships as something more pure and true than the relationships people called normal generally."
The same intern, what's her name? Yeah, Eunhye, raised her voice a bit, she sounded annoyed.
"Eunhye-ssi, why are you so worked up about it? We don't even know if he's really dating or not. Even if so, our CEO has the right to choose what he likes. We don't have the right to decide about this. Let's not discuss about this here."
A senior staff tried to conclude the topic but,
"Wait, now that Eunhye-ssi said about it, I'm just thinking, but... is Sajang-nim dating Secretary Jung?"
Jungkook choked on his own saliva when he heard the voice, it's the same staff who came to his room with Taehyung.
Like, seriously? Him dating his secretary? Jung Hoseok? What in the world made her think that way?
"What? Soomin-ssi? You too? Aigoo, what's happening with the youngsters these days?"
"No. The thing is, I went to his room today but... I feel like there's something weird with the way Sajang-nim and secretary Jung were together, like, you know, how do I put this? I saw Secretary Jung was literally sitting on the CEO's chair and Sajang-nim was standing beside him, with... unbuttoned shirt."
Jungkook couldn't even believe his ear. He never cared to what his employees talk about before but now that he hear it, what the hell are they actually saying? Do they always talk about these things everyday? Is this what Hoseok was trying to say? That there's rumor of him dating?
Was he that obvious he's happy nowadays that they started these rumors?
Ok. Fine. Let's say it's because he made it obvious since he's of course quite happier than before, but why with Hoseok?
"Now that I think about it, Secretary Jung always stick around the CEO's office. They're always together and Sajang-nim will only speaks to him and no one else in this building. So, are they really dating?"
Jungkook scoffed at that, still standing behind the wall. He felt like a total stalker eavesdropping someone but he couldn't help it. All of them were going to the wrong way.
"But why do I have a feeling that it's not Secretary Jung but maybe that handsome guy who came here to meet him?"
Jungkook gasped when he heard that. He knew about whom the intern, Eunhye, was talking about.
"What? Handsome guy? Who?"
The older male sounded confused, guess he didn't know Taehyung came.
"Oh! That guy? Isn't he the one who came here and asked Soomin-ssi to bring him to Sajang-nim?"
The senior female staff suggested.
"Yeah right. And he even used Sajang-nim's first name so casually when he asked me. So I thought they must be close friends or something. I never thought of that way."
Soomin said as she took the chair beside her to sit.
"But I gotta say that guy was super handsome. I saw him when he followed Soomin Sunbae. And if he's really the one Sajang-nim is dating, then they would look really good together."
Jungkook couldn't help but stretched his lips for a proud smile when he heard they look good together from the intern. Eventhough he already know they look good together, no, they are perfect for each other, he was quiet happy and satisfied to hear that from someone else.
"Now that you mention it, are they still outside? Aren't they taking too much time talking?"
"Oh yeah. Sajang-nim hasn't back yet. I think they're still there."
Eunhye, the intern stood up from her seat and clapped her hands excitedly.
"I told you. They must be dating for sure. I have a feeling that it's him."
"But you can't be so sure of that. He's still a man. He may be just his friend---"
Eunhye took the chance to speak her opinion when the senior staff stopped by himself.
"Sunbae-nim, do you still have a problem with that? Love can be very vast, you know. There's nothing like relationships should be only between a man and a woman. It can be with anyone. And that guy was so handsome, he looked like a kind person too, he even bowed at me when he first walked in here behind Soomin Sunbae. Of course he is--"
She paused when the other seniors were making panic faces while shaking their heads.
"Sunbae-nim? What's wrong?"
She turned back when everyone stood up suddenly only to gasp in shock when she saw Jungkook standing behind her with crossed arms, glaring at them.
"S-S-Sa-Sajang-nim?"
She trembled and almost tripped from her heels at the gaze when she imagine him listening to all of the things she said. She didn't waste time to bowed at him in 90° instantly.
Jungkook flinched when all of them followed her and bowed together.
But he could only think of something,
Why are they acting like this? Did he do something to scare them? What he did was just walking towards them and if it made them this way, just how scared are they of him actually?
"Sajang-nim! We're extremely sorry. Please don't fire us. We were out of our line. Please forgive us just this time."
They pleaded, still bowing at him.
Jungkook just looked at them with a sigh. Almost all of them were elder than him but the way they were bowing at him together, pleading at him for forgiveness, and the way they all got stiffened the moment he entered the room, he realized he never let his employees feel comfortable to talk freely in front of him. Well, yeah, this time, it was a gossip about him.
But even if it's not about gossips, everyone always look scared to even look at him everytime he's around.
"It's fine."
He said only that. He, at least, tried. He even tried to change his glare to normal.
"Huh?"
They all said simultaneously as they lift their heads to look at him.
"Eunhye-ssi? If I'm not wrong, you're a junior intern, right?"
He turned to the intern instead, who looked more terrified by now.
"Y-yes, Sajang-nim."
She bowed at him again, with shaking legs.
"I'm screwed."
She mumbled to herself but luckily Jungkook didn't hear her.
"Do you really think he's handsome?"
"Pardon?"
Jungkook find it kinda funny how her eyes got wider than before when he asked that.
"That handsome guy you were talking about, do you really think he's handsome or not?"
"Huh? Uh, y-yes?"
Jungkook nodded with a smile, very much satisfied with the answer.
Of course, Taehyung is handsome. He's the most good looking person he had ever seen in mankind. And yeah, this handsome man is his.
Yeah. That's the flex he's very much proud of.
He turned to take his step but paused again to turn back at the others.
"We have a conference meeting now. Please be prepared for it. I want everything to be well and perfect."
Everyone in the cabin just stood there, looking at their CEO humming a song when he walked towards his room.
They all dropped themselves to their seats just when the door of the office room closed.
"What was that just now?"
One of the male staff said while wiping his sweat off his forehead with his white handkerchief.
"I don't know either. But I feel like our worst time is waiting for us. He must've heard everything. Ughhh! I think we're gonna get fired very soon. Everyone, let's stay in contact even if we have to go from here. Let's have a reunion every year at least."
The senior female staff started wiping her tears.
"Aye, Sunbae-nim! Please don't say such things. It's giving us goosebumps. Let's just hope nothing is going to happen to us. The most scary part is that Sajang-nim smiled today. He even hummed a song. We've never seen him smiling. Something is definitely not right. Let's not make any mistake in today's meeting at least."
Another male said as he stood up and start looking for the files he need for the meeting.
"That's right. We should be more careful from today onwards. And Eunhye-ssi, you're still an intern, so you need to be more careful. He even called out your name too."
"Yes Sunbae-nim. I understand. I'll be more careful."
Eunhye nodded.
"But I'm still thinking why he smiled. It's scaring me even more now. Like, what's gotten into him today?"
"Yah! What's gotten into you today?"
Hoseok stood up just when Jungkook entered the room with a smile while humming.
"Hyung!"
Jungkook grinned as he spread his arm to hug Hoseok but the elder pushed his hands away.
"Why? I just wanted to thank you for saving me with a hug. You don't want?"
He tilted his head but the other crossed his arms.
"For saving you huh? Am I your iron shield?"
"Hyung, why are you getting mad tho?"
"How long are you going to hide it from him?"
Jungkook paused at that and sat on the couch with a sigh.
"I'm gonna tell him, very soon. I don't know what will be his reaction, I'm curious too. More like I'm scared? But yeah, I'll tell him for sure."
Hoseok sat beside him, tapping his shoulder.
"Just tell him already. If he loves you truely, I'm sure he'll be able to accept you for whoever you are and your truth won't affect your relationship at all. So, whatever you're gonna tell him, just do it soon."
He smiled when Jungkook nodded, he seemed to understand what he was trying to say, but sighed when the stressful look was still on the younger's face.
"And yeah, just make sure to explain everything to him. You know, everything includes what really happened when he came here and kindly clear my name. I can't stand those glares he gave me. I bet he took the wrong way."
Jungkook finally ended up chuckling, recalling how Taehyung got possessive after seeing them together.
"Well, to be honest, he already took it that way. And now, I'm banned from wearing this white shirt. Guess I'll have to wear only turtleneck shirts from tomorrow onwards."
"Seriously? Woah! Jungkook-ah, you really sound like a real husband just now."
"It's because I'm his real husband of course?"
Jungkook smiled at his own answer while the elder just laughed at how he proudly called himself like that.
He smiled when Hoseok tease him. But one thing for sure, he had never been so proud about a tease until he was called as 'a real husband'.
Yeah. He is Taehyung's husband. Real husband.
‐‐‐
Taehyung giggled while looking at the shopping bags with turtleneck shirts he bought for Jungkook. He checked the clock on his bedside table for the nth time, it already passed the time for Jungkook to come back but the younger hasn't back yet and he couldn't wait anymore.
He took his phone but sighed when the text he sent was still left unseen.
"Is he really busy? He don't even read my text?"
He stared at his phone and pout. He already tried calling him a few times but didn't pick up any.
But then, he paused for a second when he realized something.
"Wait. Am I being too clingy? Calling him again and again when I already know he's busy with his work or whatever?"
He checked the time again.
"But it's getting late though. I swear if that boss is giving him more work, I'll cut his head off and feed it to dragon-- Wqait. Was it too harsh? Tsk. Whatever. I don't care. It's because he made my husband work-- huh?"
He stopped when he realized what he just said. His husband? Of course it's a truth because they're married but now that he said it himself, it kinda make him shy all of a sudden.
He smiled at himself while hugging the pillow tightly, feeling his face burning up into a blush with a realization of how his feelings for the younger getting out of his hand now.
He got up from the bed and walked towards the closet, chuckling at the younger's white shirts.
Strange how even a simple thing about Jungkook make him smile like an idiot. But yeah, if it's for Jungkook, he could be the dumbest idiot to ever exist.
Woah Taehyung, how much more can you fall for him?
Funny right? To think he was someone who never wanted to fall in love at first? Because he knew he would love them too much and look at him, that's exactly what he's doing right now.
He knew that too much will hurt, it still does when he start missing him too often, when he start wanting him to just stay by his side all the time.
He felt himself like a greedy person for being like this when he already know he shouldn't be, but, may be because he was so used to getting whatever he want, he couldn't help but be more greedy.
The more he think about him, the more he miss him and it hurt when he couldn't see him whenever he wants.
He breathed in deeply and almost close the closet but his eyes fell on his camera by the corner of the closet.
He took it out and smiled while looking at the pictures he took before.
He had always liked taking pictures. He enjoys traveling but he never gets to travel more often. So whenever he gets to travel, he capture everything with his camera, just so he can look at them later and recall the way he felt at the moment. That feeling is always special for him.
It was his dream to travel--
"Dream."
Taehyung mumbled alone with a sigh.
Yeah. He dreamed for a life where he just... live. Simple, alone and independent, traveling beautiful places, exploring new things and take pictures, not because he got the need to do it for some real purposes but because he just want to. A life where he has the freedom to go and come back as he please, sleep and wake up whenever he want to, with no compulsion on doing or not doing things, a life where nobody cares what he do.
He just... wanted to live. No boundaries, no restrictions. Just... living.
And his dream was almost one step away from becoming a reality.
A fake marriage with a stranger and get divorced with a fake reason, no relationships, no attachment with anybody, just live alone like he'd always dreamed to.
But this reality he's living now is not what he wanted but why do he still want it so badly? It's not what supposed to feel right but why do he still feel it to be the most right thing?
Then, would that mean he took a step back before taking that one step forward to his dream? It was supposed to become reality after three months, that is less than one month from now.
But now, is he accepting this reality instead of making his dream into his own reality that he wanted?
Then what about his dream?
He stared at the picture of Jungkook he took in Malta, tracing his fingers through on the screen.
A faint smile curled up on his lips while seeing the wide smile on Jungkook.
They were supposed to end their relationship in less than a month. But if he ever had to leave him, would he be able to do it?
He asked himself and just then, the doorbell rang as he just let his feet bring him downstairs until he reach the door without wasting a second. Eventhough he knew Jungkook wouldn't ring the doorbell of his own house but something tells him that it's definitely Jungkook.
And just when he opened the door, he could only stared at the wide smile that was waiting for him behind the door, a smile so tempting yet so warm and pleasant.
Before he could even say anything, he was immediately engulfed between two arms that he never realized was longing for until he felt the warmth rushing through his whole body.
"Sorry. I came late and rang the bell at this hour. Were you sleeping? I just... I just wanted to see you opening the door for me. You know... that feeling when your love ones welcome you back home after a tiring day, I just wanted to feel that way."
Taehyung won't deny it. He felt his own heartbeat throbbing at the way Jungkook said those words with a shy smile and blushing cheeks.
"I wasn't sleeping. I was... actually waiting for you. So... no need to say sorry. Well, umm... welcome home, Jungkookie."
And that was the only thing he could say before his lips could feel the other's. His mind felt like a foggy wood, couldn't think of anything other than the soft alluring lips smooching over his with so much passion and affection yet so gentle and sweet.
"Now, I feel like I'm really in home."
Jungkook grinned, caressing the other's cheeks with his hand gently.
Taehyung stared at those sparkling galaxy eyes that hold stars, they could clearly reflect his happiness at its peak.
He couldn't believe he's the same stranger he met two months ago, the same person who teased him for anything, the same person he found so much annoying, the same person he never thought he would love so bad. That same person is now looking at him with so much love in his eyes, only at him.
And those eyes and a few words with a smile were more than enough for him to realize the answer for the question he asked himself before.
That he, even if the world is falling apart, would never ever be able to leave him.
