"What's wrong?" Jungkook asked as he let Taehyung hug him from back, he sensed the other pouting and sighing while resting his chin on his shoulder.
It was a bright morning, with the sunlight peeking through the partly opened window, the weather looked perfect for spending sweet time with your special someone, but alas, he still had to go for work.
Wished he could just ditch his work, but he has an important meeting to attend.
It was when he was standing in front of the mirror, fixing his hair with a comb, Taehyung's arms wrapped around his waist, pouting for some reason he didn't know yet.
"Nothing," it was the only thing Taehyung said and sighed for the nth time again before leaning to bury his face on the younger's back.
"Nothing? Then why are you pouting? Are you not feeling well?" Jungkook turned back, his one hand cupping the other's face.
"No I just... Yoonji... she called me just now to say... well, in short, it seems like Jimin and Yoongi hyung talked it out last night and... they're all good now."
"Is that so? Then why are you sad about it?" Jungkook tilted his head to see if Taehyung changed his expression, but he was still pouting.
"I thought you're pouting because you're sad that I'm going but--" he pretend to shake his head but ended up chuckling when the other hit his arm with a smile.
At least Taehyung is finally smiling now.
"No... I heard their stories and it was all because of some misunderstandings and bad timings, and... I just feel sad that all of them had to go through because of it. If they talked it out before, they would've been living happily instead of hurting themselves."
Jungkook, lifting the other's face holding his chin, smiled faintly, "just think like... everything that's happening has its own timings to happen, late or early, it's all for the best, for us to be at our best. Maybe their time was a bit late, but it might also be early enough for them to understand each other's situations. What if their faith was purposefully making it late to buy time for them so they can face it together?"
Taehyung smiled, hearing Jungkook's word seemed to give him a glimpse of relief in his mind. Sometimes he wonder how can he be so understanding and reliable even if he's younger than him, he will always come up with words that can make him relief and happy.
"Y'know, whenever I hear your words, sometimes I feel like you're older than me."
"What?" Jungkook chuckled, "you can call me hyung then."
"Shut up, I'm older than you. Why would I even call you--"
"Tae."
Taehyung paused at Jungkook calling him with a new nickname. After all those nicknames they made before, it's something he didn't expect for the younger to call him, but it really sounded sweet and warm when it came out from Jungkook's lips with the loving tone he made, deepening his voice. He hummed as an answer when the other held his hand tightly.
"If... if I'm hiding something big from you, something you won't even believe, even if it's something that could make a complete different life for us, and if I tell you about it later, will you be okay with it? Will you still love me if I was someone you never imagined?"
"What are you saying? You're scaring me," Taehyung tried to laugh off thinking it might be some kind of joke, but the laugh didn't last long when the younger's eyes looked serious. He just stared at those galaxy eyes looking at him with a bit of insecurity yet hopeful eyes.
Is Jungkook really hiding something from him? Come to think of it, there's so many things he don't know about the younger. He never asked, neither the other ever told him more about himself. Jungkook is a reserved person who tends to keep everything in himself that sometimes, he's like a stranger, but it never felt strange to be in love with him.
Maybe because it was the younger's heart that he fell in love with, eventhough there isn't much about him that he know, when he look back, he couldn't find the moment Jungkook was a stranger to his heart.
And with the way Jungkook asked him if he would still love him even after knowing it, the insecurity in his eyes, the way he held his hand tightly as if he don't want to let go of him, he understood the younger was serious.
"Jungkookie, are you... like... hiding something from me?" So he asked, because he knew whatever his secrets might be, his love for him is never gonna change anyway and he didn't want him to feel insecure of him anymore.
"Y-yeah," Jungkook replied with a nod after pausing for a second, "I'm... I'm hiding something, something about me that you may not believe. But I don't want you to hate me for hiding it from you."
"Who said I'm gonna hate you for hiding it?" He faked frowned before chuckling, "in fact, I'm more curious of your secret now. When are you going to tell me?"
Jungkook finally smiled, he felt kinda relieved that he could at least give him a hint about it, "I'll tell you for sure, but not today."
"Why? Is it bad or good thing?" Taehyung dropped his shoulders in disappointment while the other just chuckled.
"Just... I'm not ready yet," Jungkook grinned, "and I want a dramatic reveal of my secret. So I'll prepare something first."
"Dramatic?" Taehyung just laughed, "and what's there to prepare? Or are you gonna say you're not an employee in some company but a mafia or something?"
"What? Mafia-- oh god Tae."
Taehyung watched the younger laughing after what he said. Was it that funny that he ended up laughing so hard? But he felt happy that it made him laugh, he looked so tensed a minute ago.
"Am I right then? Why are you even laughing?" He laughed along until he held the younger's hand gently, "Jungkookie, you can take your time, as much as you want. I won't rush you to tell me either. You can prepare for your dramatic reveal or anything, but make sure to tell me when you're ready. So don't be scared, good or bad, it'll never change my feelings for you, ok?"
Jungkook smiled as he nod, feeling thankful for understanding him. He used to get scared that his secret might affect their relationship but it doesn't look like it now, he was scared for nothing. How could he forget the trust Taehyung has in him? Or, was it the trust Taehyung has in him that held him back from telling the truth? Because he didn't want to lose that trust.
But now, after hearing what Taehyung said, his insecurities disappeared, he felt like he finally got the courage to tell him everything.
"Can I kiss you?"
"Huh?" Taehyung didn't expect that would be Jungkook's reply after what he said.
"Why so suddenly, hahaha," he tried to get away by laughing it off, but he couldn't hide the pink tint spreading over his cheeks when the younger grabbed him by his waist before he could run away.
"I don't know, I'm just happy that you trust me."
Taehyung chuckled, "aren't you allowed to kiss me anytime you want? Why do you even need to ask again? I'm already yours anywa--"
Jungkook didn't even let him finish his words when he captured his lips gently for a peck, "then I won't ask next time."
"Whatever," Taehyung playfully rolled his eyes but ended up giggling when Jungkook start giving him butterfly kisses over his neck.
"Stop, you'll be late for work," he tapped the younger's shoulder to stop him.
"I can be late sometimes too."
Taehyung chuckled when the other mumbled, arms still around him with his chin resting over his shoulder. "You'll get kicked out from the company for sure one day if you keep doing like this. You said your CEO is strict, right?"
Jungkook paused before standing straight and looked at the other, "Tae, my secret... it's related to the CEO of my company."
Taehyung frowned at that, "CEO of your company? That person I saw that day? Are you two dating secretly behind my back? Or is he your ex or something?"
"What? No, it's not about that," Jungkook couldn't help but laugh, he seriously can never know what Taehyung can think of any situation.
"No? Then was he a bully from your highschool? I knew something was off about him. You want me to teach him a lesson?"
"No way, oh my," Jungkook just couldn't hold anymore, so he laughed but the other just continued blabbing.
"Then, is he troubling you in work? He doesn't treat you well? Y'know even if you like working there, you'll suffer more if your CEO is the problem."
"Wait, no--"
"You can quit working there if you want, I won't mind you being unemployed. I'll love you no matter what and we can think of something else to earn money."
"Wait, listen--"
"I won't even mind sleeping in streets, but I can't tolerate you suffer alone there. Just leave that damn company--"
"Wait, wait, what'll happen if the CEO leave the company?"
"I'm not saying your CEO is leaving. I'm talking about you."
"That's what I'm saying."
"What do you mean?"
"Because I'm the CEO."
"Why do you need to bring up about him? That's not important now. I'm telling you to leave that damn compa--" Taehyung paused after realization strike him.
What did he just hear? Did he hear what he think he heard?
"HUH?!" He just stood there, wide surprised and shocked eyes staring at the younger.
Jungkook closed his eyes, biting his lips when he realized what he just slipped out of his tongue.
He said it. But this is not how he wanted to tell him about it. Did he make another mistake? What will Taehyung say now? What will he do if Taehyung gets angry at him?
"What did you just say?" Taehyung asked again to make sure if it was really what he heard.
Jungkook was sure the other already heard it, so there's no point in running away from the truth now. He finally let out a deep sigh as he look at the shocked yet curious eyes already staring at him.
"Yeah, you heard it correct. I'm... I'm not just a game animator but the CEO of that Company."
Jungkook knew Taehyung may not be able to process what he just say when he saw him dropping his jaw. He took a deep breath as he held Taehyung's hands, "I'm sorry I lied to you before. But trust me, I never thought we could come this far at that time, and you already know I've always lived hiding my identity, so I didn't want to just... y'know, tell it out to someone I just met. I just--"
"Wait, wait. So you mean... that JJ Company, one of the biggest gaming company is... yours?"
"Yeah?"
"If you're the CEO, then you're the boss there. So that means no one can trouble you there, right?"
"Huh?" Jungkook was surprised at how Taehyung didn't even care much about hiding such big thing from him but only the fact that no one can trouble him. "Well, yeah?"
He smiled looking at how Taehyung let out his relieved sigh after. "You're not mad at me for hiding it from you?"
"Why should I?" Taehyung smiled, "well, to be honest, I'm surprised, more like shocked actually, I never expected it."
"And how did you believe me so easily? What if I was lying?"
"Well, you're quite mysterious. Someday you'll say you're a pro gamer out of nowhere. Now suddenly you're a millionaire CEO. And you already said you're hiding something from me and then this, everything you said are literally something unbelievable honestly. Still, I don't know why but I believed it, maybe because you seemed serious when you say it and your eyes didn't look like they were lying."
Jungkook closed his eyes in relief and quickly grabbed Taehyung by his waist, burying his face on the other's neck, "so, I was worried for nothing? I thought you'd be mad at me for hiding it," he mumbled.
He was actually relieved, like he just put down something heavy from his head. He never thought it would be that easy to tell him the truth. And the way Taehyung just understood him instantly was surprising yet relieving.
"Why would I? I understand your problem, so I don't mind you hiding it from me, but I'm just glad you finally told me. I wouldn't care even if you were only a sweeper in that company, I would've still love you the same," Taehyung smiled while his fingers playing the younger's hair who smiled. "Wait, then who was that guy in your office room?"
Jungkook chuckled when he recalled the mess in his office room the day Taehyung came, "he's my secretary."
"What? Your secretary?" Taehyung laughed, "and how did you manage to make him your boss just to hide from me?"
Jungkook grinned, lifting his head, "I asked him to help me. Actually, he knows everything about us. He's the one who booked the flight tickets for our honeymoon."
"Seriously?" Taehyung just laughed, "wait, I can imagine you asking your secretary to be your boss just to hide from me. Now I get it why you looked that way when I entered your room."
"At least you know now. Do you know how worried I was thinking you might get it wrong?"
"I did get it wrong that day. And I was so jealous that I went straight to a showroom after meeting Jimin to buy this."
Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung point his finger to the turtleneck shirt he was wearing. "Then, thanks to that, I got ten new shirts."
"At least you won't go around with unbuttoned shirt anymore. Who knows your female employees have secret crush on you?" Taehyung rolled his eyes while the younger just laughed.
"But honestly, I'm kinda glad that you never revealed your face to public. I don't want this face to be seen by others," he said while squeezing the younger's face with his palms.
"Y'know there are so many gold diggers nowadays, you can never know if they're coming for your money because you're rich or not. And listen, don't even dare to flirt with anyone in your office."
"Well?" Jungkook smirked, " it's too bad for them that this handsome rich CEO is already married and is madly in love with another handsome someone named Taehyung."
Taehyung chuckled looking at how Jungkook lift his chin proudly while saying it.
"Then it's too good for me that I'm your handsome someone named Taehyung," he giggled as he wriggle out from Jungkook's arms to get his coat from the closet and helped him wearing it.
"With you helping me like this, we do look like a real couple now."
Taehyung paused at that, his fingers that was about to fix the younger's collar fidgeting over the fabric instead. He lifted his head to look at the glowing eyes, Jungkook looked so happy to say those words out.
"Jungkookie, I wanna say something, " he said after thinking for a while.
"Hmm? Yeah, of course? What is it?"
The way Jungkook smiled with his curious eyes looking at him, Taehyung sighed and with a deep breath, "I... I want to tell our parents about our truth too, that we faked everything about our relationship."
The smile on Jungkook slowly disappeared at that, "why?"
"It was the truth at first anyway. One or the other day, they'll eventually come to know everything. It's not like we are gonna stick to our deal anymore too, I think it's better to tell them by ourselves. I know they'll understand. And even if they don't, we'll try to make them understand."
Jungkook breathed in as he caressed Taehyung's face with a smile, "fine, let's tell them. We'll do it together."
He chuckled when Taehyung wrapped his arms around his neck to hug him.
"Thank you. Then, shall we call them all here tomorrow for dinner and tell them?"
"As you wish."
Taehyung grinned when Jungkook ruffled his hair, "ok, now go. You can't be late even if you're a boss."
"I can be late sometimes tho."
"But it's too late today."
"I can be too late sometimes too."
"Ok. Then, don't fire anybody."
"Who said I fire people?"
"The one who used to be a game animator."
"Don't believe what he said."
"Just go already. And listen, try talking to your employees but don't flirt."
"I'm not good in flirting."
"Yeah, yeah. I know."
"I'm serious."
‐‐‐
"We're supposed to call them to our house, why are we at your parent's house?"
Taehyung whispered with disappointment at Jungkook who was sitting next to them.
"How would I know your parents and my parents already had a plan for dinner today?" Jungkook whispered back.
Yeah, it's the next day where they planned to call their parents to their house but it happened to be the same day their parents were supposed to have dinner together. So when Jungkook contacted them, they were asked to join them instead and that's how they ended up at his parent's house.
They all enjoyed their dinner together, it's rare for all of them to gather together and eat like this. But Taehyung was more nervous than enjoying, because it's his first time to literally be at Jungkook's parent's house since their marriage, and the fact that they actually are going to tell about their truth was making him more anxious.
They were sitting together in the living room after dinner. The two fathers seemed to be having a serious talk about their companies.
"I heard our Taehyung like strawberries so I bought some specially for you. Eat as many as you want, it's all yours," Mrs. Jeon smiled and placed a bowl of strawberry on the table in front of them before sitting on the couch next to Mrs. Kim.
"Oh, thank you mom," Taehyung bowed at her with a smile.
"Oh yeah, there's some more in the refrigerator, just bring them all with when you go," Mrs. Jeon said, pointing her finger towards the kitchen to show him the refrigerator.
"Oho, don't give him all. Or else he'll look like a strawberry one day," Mrs. Kim sneered ignoring her son's glare.
"Who said my son-in-law looks like strawberry when strawberries are trying their best to be sweet like my son-in-law? Hahaha!" Mr. Jeon finally turned his attention towards them, looks like he's done with the serious talk with Taehyung's father.
They all laughed at that, except for two nervously sitting beside each other.
"Well, Taehyung-ah, Jungkook-ah. You said you guys have something to tell us, right? What is it that you wanted to tell us? We can't wait to hear it." Mrs. Kim asked curiously looking at the two holding their hands tightly.
Taehyung flinched when his mother asked him suddenly, "Well... Mom," he was about to stutter but the way Jungkook tightened his hold on his hand was enough for him to encourage a bit. "Umm... we... it's something really important, so we thought you need to know about this before it's too late--"
"Wait," Mrs. Jeon interrupted, "I'm getting nervous. Are we... are we getting our first grandchild?"
"HUH?"
Both dropped their jaws at a time, that was the least expected guess ever, no, that was something they never expected.
"Oh, Mrs. Jeon, your sense of humor is amazing. Look, you got the kids scared," Mr. Kim laughed while the other three followed while Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged short glances with blushing cheeks and then clearing their throats awkwardly, their guess was unexpected yet really embarrassing.
"Ok, we're just kidding. Now tell us about our grandchild-- oops! Sorry," Mr. Kim wink at his wife sticking his tongue out when she hit him while laughing.
"Dad, please?" Taehyung whined at his father, but no one knew the fact that he couldn't stop blushing after their parent's so called joke, except for Jungkook who was blushing just like him while sitting next to him.
"Ok. No jokes from now on. We're ready."
Taehyung cleared his throat and turned to look at Jungkook who nodded as an encouragement before he continued after a deep breath, "Mom, dad, we... actually... we weren't dating for real. I lied to everyone saying Jungkook is my boyfriend. I never thought we'll end up with a marriage, and he got dragged into my life problems unknowingly because of my lies. And... I'm really sorry we never told you about this but... for our marriage, we agreed to a deal for 3 months marriage and divorce after the time ends. But it's different now. We love each other, and we want to stay together, we'll not divorce either. We just... we just wanted to let you know the truth before it's too late."
Taehyung breathed out after saying it all at once with his head hung down.
Silence occupied, nobody spoke any word.
Taehyung slowly lifted his head up to find their parents looking at them with wide eyes.
Their gazes were frustrating, the silence was making him anxious.
Did he make a mistake by telling them?
Will they separate them after knowing the truth?
Can they get a chance to explain? But whatever it is, their chance should be now.
Just when he was about to start explaining, he flinched when the four elders jumped up from their seats together.
Taehyung almost had his heart jumped out from his heart thinking they were going to hit them, but...
What is he seeing now?
They are... jumping and hugging each other? And they're actually screaming?
What's going on?
This is definitely not what he expected to be their reaction?
He just sat there, looking at them when they all turned towards him until Mrs. Jeon and his mother crouched in front of him.
"We knew about it all this way, dear."
"HUH?"

"HUH?"
