"Your uncle wants you back at home, and you actually act all high and mighty. I see you don't want to step into this family."
"Then please tell my uncle I won't be going."
Upon hearing Georgia's voice over the phone, Victor hastily grabbed the phone and shoved Priscilla, causing her to stumble.
"Georgia, don't listen to your aunt. Even though you moved out with your dad now, the Murray family is still your home.
"Come back. Grandma misses you, too," he persuaded.
Georgia, in a nearby cafe near the Murray family, said calmly, "Uncle Victor, I originally wanted to go back, but it seemed like no one welcomed me there, so maybe another day?"
Upon hearing Georgia's refusal, Victor said anxiously, "We welcome you. How can we not welcome you? If anyone dares not welcome you, I'll break their legs.
"Where are you? We will all go pick you up."
After hanging up the phone, Priscilla was already fuming mad. "Are you crazy? Why give that waste such respect? Going to pick her up? Does she even deserve it?"
Slap!
A hard slap landed on Priscilla's face.
"Fool!" Only then did Victor mention what task Gemma had given him.
Upon hearing that, the mother and daughter exchanged triumphant sneers.
After all, what could be more satisfying than seeing that little bitch's reputation ruined?
Georgia sat in the café, and soon, Victor arrived with the whole family in tow.
"Georgia, I've brought everyone except your old grandma. That's enough sincerity, right?" Victor said.
Hearing this, Georgia casually glanced over everyone. When she noticed the handprint on Priscilla's face, a hint of mockery flashed in her eyes.
"Georgia, I will make your favorite milk custard later," Priscilla said warmly, grabbing Georgia's hand.
Seeing Priscilla, who had just undergone a complete one-eighty, Georgia sneered inwardly.
Priscilla's transformation reminded her of the fox praying over chickens.
When her gaze landed on Cora's face, panic instantly flashed in Cora's eyes.
Cora deeply regretted telling her the truth that day.
Who would've thought she'd have her day?
Recalling today's mission, Cora steadied herself. She had to succeed. Only then could she crush that bitch back into the abyss.
But pretending to be close like before was out of the question.
Seeing Cora's evasion, Georgia smirked, "Cora, weren't we always close? Why do you seem less than thrilled to see me today?"
Facing Georgia's provocation, Cora awkwardly forced a smile. "How could that be? I... I'm very happy you're back, Georgia."
Victor glared at Cora, complaining inwardly that his usually sharp daughter was really dropping the ball now.
Finally, Georgia's gaze met Roberta, who was hiding at the back of the group.
She continued with a smirk, "Roberta, why are you hiding? Weren't you quite vocal about my late mom just now?"
Hearing this, Roberta nervously glanced at Victor. His glare felt like a blade, threatening her life if she didn't get Georgia's forgiveness.
So, Roberta rushed to Georgia and slapped herself four times in quick succession, pleading, "Miss, please forgive me. I'm just an old woman with a filthy mouth. I deserve some slaps to shut up."
Then, she slapped herself until her face turned red.
Only then did Georgia stand up.
Seeing her own family humiliated like this, Priscilla was furious but had to suppress her anger for the plan.
'Bitch, enjoy your moment while it lasts!' she cursed inwardly.
