The comment section was a cesspool—insults and trash talk piled high.
Georgia clocked Samuel's name and fired back from her public account: [Check the timestamps. In and out in seven minutes. Five of those, Mr. Maxwell was in the shower.
[Two minutes talking. Guess Samuel's played the field so hard he's burnt out. One-second wonder in bed. What a champ!]
Her post was dynamite. The internet erupted, and "One-Second Samuel" shot to #2 on the trending charts.
In Saylor Hospital's dean's office, Samuel scrolled through the chaos, smirking.
"Still just a feisty kitten with sharp claws, huh?" he muttered.
In twenty days, he'd have her eating out of his hand.
"Georgia's trying to sneak back into her old hospital gig?" In the senior physician's office, Gemma squinted at her phone, lips curling into a smug grin.
"Gemma, Caroline spilled the tea—Georgia's pushing to return," Cora's voice crackled, panicked. "If she gets her old spot, what's the plan?"
Gemma's red lips twisted. "A has-been with a trashed rep and a busted wrist? Her, making a comeback? Dream on."
"But three years ago, she owned the Top Doctors List. If she pulls this off, it could shake your spot," Cora fretted.
Gemma laughed, sharp and cold. 'Please. She's a nobody, humiliated by her ex's family. I'm at the top, still climbing. Scared of her? Get real.'
"Cool it, Cora.." Gemma said. "Her scandals made her a punching bag back then. Her glory? Stolen and split by people like us.
"You think the big dogs who climbed over her corpse will let her waltz back? The medical world would lose it."
Cora sighed. "Guess I was tripping. Didn't want her gunning for your crown."
Gemma's smirk widened. "If she tries to rise, I'll crush her back down."
That night, Lila's call lit up Georgia's phone.
"Hey, Georgia," Lila said. "Tomorrow's the first nursing aide interviews. I'd skip them and aim later. Your rep's in the dirt. Maybe hit a charity clinic to clean it up, or Royal Hospital's gossip mill will eat you alive."
Georgia shook her head. "Book me for tomorrow."
Her name was mud—charity work would just get called a stunt. She'd planned this to the minute. No delays.
Lila sighed. "Fine, your funeral. You're set."
"Thanks, Lila," Georgia said, voice warm.
Lila had been her rock in the dark days. Now, it was her turn to shine.
Next morning, Georgia rolled up to Saylor Hospital's interview spot, sporting light makeup and a sleek beige trench coat.
The hallway was packed with middle-aged women. When she walked in, eyes popped.
She stood out like a star in a dive bar.
Three years ago, Georgia's name was gold in Journ City.
The medical staff started buzzing. "Hey, isn't that the chick from that viral video?"
"No way, it's her! Hotter in person. No wonder she's got guys hooked."
"What's she doing here? No shot she's interviewing for an aide gig."
"With that face? She could just snag a sugar daddy. Beats cleaning bedpans."
"You see the gossip? She was the Rathbone CEO's sidepiece for three years, dumped with nothing. Now she's chasing Samuel, but he's just playing her. Why else is she stuck auditioning for a grunt job?"
"What a hot mess. Gotta be a new low."
Georgia's icy glare swept the crowd, but she stayed silent. Lila was right—this place was toxic to the core.
Amid their venom, someone gasped, "Holy crap, it's Ms. Noelle Faulkner!"
"Ms. Faulkner's running the interviews herself?"
"We're so lucky! Her tips? Total game-changer."
Georgia turned. Noelle Faulkner—the broke intern she'd funded five years ago, now a nursing world hotshot.
Her eyes narrowed, nails biting her palms.
Three years back, when Georgia's scandal broke—drugged Louis, bed-hopping, plagiarism lies—Noelle twisted the knife.
On camera, she painted Georgia as a bully who crushed her team, terrified of being outdone. Called her a fake, all looks and no skill.
Back then, Georgia was fixated on marrying into the Rathbone family, her career trashed. Wolves like Noelle dropped their masks, tearing into her and climbing over her ruins.
Noelle was one of the worst.
As Noelle glided in, the crowd mobbed her like groupies.
"Interviewing with you, Ms. Faulkner? I'm freaking out—this is huge!"
"You're so young and gorg, Ms. Faulkner. Total legend!"
"You started as a nurse and climbed up. You're my hero."
Noelle flashed a smooth, practiced smile. "Medicine's about saving lives. Heart matters more than the job title."
"Wow, that's why you're the nursing world's rising star! That vibe's why you're killing it."
"Unlike some people who just sleep around… oops, my bad. Even that crashed and burned."
"Lisa, chill! Remember when that chick topped the Top Doctors List? She sabotaged her team to stay there. Now she's nobody, and her old crew's running things. Karma's got a wicked swing."
Georgia stood there, unfazed by the praise and jabs.
Noelle, all smooth and polished, acted like she'd just noticed Georgia.
She strolled over with a bright smile, hand out. "Hey, Georgia, long time! Congrats on coming back to Saylor Hospital."
Georgia's lips curled into a frosty smirk. She flicked her eyes at Noelle's hand, then turned and walked away, cold as ice.
The staff caught the shade and jumped to Noelle's defense.
"Ms. Faulkner, interview's starting soon," one said, annoyed. "Why bother with someone who got used and dumped?"
"For real!" another added. "Only someone as big-hearted as Ms. Faulkner would even try. Georgia held her back for years. Without that, Dr. Faulkner's Art of 24 Needles therapy would've been huge ages ago!"
"What a loser," someone muttered. "Throwing shade at Ms. Faulkner? She needs to take a good look in the mirror and see she's got nothing."
