"Hey Celeste. I see that he finally manned up." He said motioning towards my mark. A tender smile made its way into my face and I nodded my head.
"Yeah he did." I stated the obvious. Cole laughed and shook his head.
"I was afraid that he wasn't going to do it and mess up the date that we planned." Cole said with a smirk. I frowned and looked at him questioningly.
"We planned?" I questioned. Cole nodded his head.
"Yeah me, Dylan and Blake practically planned the whole thing." He added with a proud smirk. I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"Course you did." I said. Cole laughed before becoming serious.
"But really though I'm so happy for you guys." He said truthfully before pulling me into a tight hug. I laughed and wrapped my arms around him. We had only been hugging for a few seconds when I heard a loud growl and I was torn away from Cole.
I gasped in shock and tried to look up but I was tightly smashed against my mates chest. My arms were pinned in between my body and Xander's and I couldn't move them because he was holding me to tightly.
"Mine." He growled out lowly. I could hear the power in his voice and I'm sure that Cole could feel it because I heard him gasp.
"Look man I wasn't trying anything, we were just hugging." Cole defended himself.
"Don't touch my mate." Xander growled out sounding even more angry then before.
"I just said that I wasn't trying anything! Calm down!" Cole yelled. I winced. He should know better then to yell at a protective and angry alpha male. Xander started shaking violently and I knew that it was because his wolf was feeling threatened.
"Stay away!" He boomed. I jumped, not expecting that, before sighing. I rested my head on Xander's chest and tried my hardest to wiggled my arms out but it was no use. Xander must have felt me wiggling around because he sharply looked down at me.
His face softened immediately as I stared up at him and the next thing I knew he had lifted me off the ground and was holding me to him. I sighed once again and wrapped my legs around his waist to keep myself up. I rested my chin on my shoulder and as he turned around I looked back at Cole.
Cole looked angry, hurt and regretful. I frowned but when he looked at me I gave him a reassuring smile. He smiled back before walking away. I stayed silent as Xander walked the two of us outside. Thanks to the new mark that rested on my neck I could faintly feel some of Xander's emotions and he was still very angry.
As we made our way out the door I could feel everybody's stares on us and my eyes soon connected with Seth, Lela's and Perries. They all looked confused but I simply smiled at them. Xander walked to what I assumed was his car and opened the passenger door, he gently pried me away from him before setting me inside.
I buckled my seatbelt and stayed silent as Xander got in and started up the car. We drove in silence for about ten minutes before I felt Xander's emotions flip from angry to regretful. I glanced over at him to see that he had a frown on his face.
"I'm sorry." He murmured quietly. I blinked before a small smile slipped onto my face.
"It's alright." I answered as I took his free hand in mine. He smiled over at me before turning his attention back to the rode. We drove for another twenty minutes before he turned off onto a small dirt rode that led into the woods. There was hundreds of cars already parked in the large clearing and even more people gathered a few feet away.
It was quit strange seeing the two packs mixed together. I mean its not like the packs didn't get along but we have never had any joined meetings or get togethers. Xander quickly climbed out of the car before opening my door and helping me out. He clasped my small hand in his larger one before tugging me towards the large group.
From the looks of it all members of both packs were present and I spotted both mine and Xander's parents stood towards the front of the clearing. They were with quit a few other people who I soon recognized as Uncle Josh and aunt Lilly, Seth's parents. Alice, Lela's mom. Justin and Nina, Coles parents and Jace and Julie, Dylan and Blake's parents.
Nobody seemed to notice that we had arrived which was strange because our scents were very strong seeing as we were both alphas and mates. I spotted my trio of friends a few feet away but they didn't see me. Xander led me towards the group of adults that were surrounding our parents and pulled me to a stop when we were right in front of me.
They all turned to look at us. Our parents had proud smiles on there faces but all of the other adults that I had grown up close to looked absolutely shocked. I guess that nobody knew what this meeting was about. There mouths were hanging open as there eyes darted back and forth between us.
