As Hadrian ordered the elf to leave, his eyes turned and heard the emeralds. His eyes were glowing with power, and his magic was visible to the people he surrounded. When he identified them to be death eaters headed by Fenrir Greyback, the notorious werewolf who was responsible for the many of the children affected by a curse, killing and raping minors and women in front of their male family members, then & there, he had decided to end them there without any mercy showering upon them.
The Order of the Phoenix convened urgently at Grimmauld Place as concern mounted over the lack of information about Hadrian. As Hadrian instructed, Remus reinforced the protective wards around the house, adding to the growing sense of unease among the members. As the rest of the group gathered, apprehension was evident on their faces. After a tense few minutes, everyone settled in, awaiting Minerva's lead as she assumed the Order's leadership.
Upon arriving at Grimmauld Place, everyone was taken aback by the transformed appearance of the house. The once dreary and desolate atmosphere had been replaced by a lively energy, with many hyperactive and industrious elves bustling about. Among them was Kreacher, who seemed to have regained his sanity. Meanwhile, Molly was noticeably agitated, casting fierce glances at the elves. Her attempts to assert authority and manage the household had been met with resistance, as she had fallen victim to elf magic.
As tensions rose and voices clamoured for control of the meeting, Remus finally reached his limit. With a firm tone, he issued an ultimatum, warning that he would adjourn the gathering if the disruptive behaviour continued. Gradually, the room fell quiet as the group realised the gravity of the situation. Seizing the opportune moment, Minerva rose from her seat, ready to assume the mantle of leadership within the Order of the Phoenix.
Minerva stood tall at the front of the room, her eyes piercing as she addressed the gathered members. "We are here today to discuss the troubling disappearance of Harry Potter. He was abandoned by Mr Weasley and Ms Granger in their time of need, leaving them unable to complete the task assigned to them by the late Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. So, I ask you all: does anyone have any clue as to his whereabouts?" As she spoke, the eyes of the assembly turned accusingly towards Hermione and Ron, their expressions a mix of disgust and disdain.
"Well, Professor, wherever Harry is, he is fine now that these two left him at his own devices," George started.
" The man who lived a crappy childhood with his magic-hating relatives and survived it is not any miracle that he can't live through---"
"--- This war, because if he can survive the war from the age of 15 months old, that is the day when his parents were murdered, then this war is nothing for him because he has only two goals now," George continued. "One, to kill the said the dark lord and second, to kill Bellatrix Lestrange as she has snatched Harry's father, Sirius Black, from his life.
"As now these two are not hanging to him to report each activity he has ever done to the Headmaster, he will be free, and if we know him correctly, he is like a reformed Phoenix with a thirst for revenge for everything bad or worst ever has done to him by the people."
"And we are warning you to get ready once this war ends. You, people, will see Lord Potter-Black but not Harry Potter and get ready to be sued by law and mother magic because he will not leave anyone who contributed to the plan made by the Headmaster."
"---- In fact, we should say our late Headmaster is lucky to be dead because if he was alive, then he can face severe consequences for screwing with Harry Potter, and we would have a front-row to see that happening, and we would enjoy it," Fred completed, looking at his mother, younger siblings, and Hermione, who had gone pale after listening to their twin's speech.
"What do you mean by that, Messer's Weasleys?" Minerva asked, her voice tinged with concern and disbelief. She desperately hoped that she had misheard the troubling news about her beloved lion being mistreated. Meanwhile, Remus and Tonks remained silent, their knowledge of the hidden Harry Potter weighing heavily on their minds. They were among the first to discover his concealed identity, along with Sirius and the twins, and took great pride in their connection to him as relatives.
"Well, Minerva, we cannot disclose much about him. However, I advise you to cease your search because he will not be found until ready. In the meantime, we must focus on other matters. I hope you understand the importance of respecting his freedom. Ron, I'm sure you remember the consequences of disturbing him, especially after the prank Harry pulled in our fifth year following Brown's incident," Remus remarked with a sly smile. Ron's face went pale as he recalled the two weeks he spent in the hospital, covered in constant spots and boils in Slytherin colours, a spell even Madam Pomfrey couldn't reverse.
Ron's voice echoed through the room as he exclaimed, "It was him. I thought one of the twins or Slytherins played the prank on me. I'm his friend. How can he do something like this?"
"Ronald, I urge you to quiet down and remain seated. Otherwise, I'll have no choice but to resort to using my wand," Tonks warned, her voice carrying a weight of authority that filled the room with tension. All eyes turned towards Ron, their expressions reflecting a potent mix of disgust and resentment. Tonks made it clear that she was deeply affected by Ron's actions, explicitly recalling his betrayal during the tournament and his constant unauthorised use of Harry's valuable possessions.
Remus spoke proudly, "And Ronald, Harry is the son and godson of the Marauders. Do you think he will do anything in front of you? He has the traits of all four Marauders, along with his mother, Lily, and he is a combination of all four of us except that traitor, and he is the sneakiest person I have ever known." This declaration surprised everyone, and they all turned to look at him.
"Minerva, I wanted to let you know that Tonks and I won't be able to attend any more meetings because her due date is approaching," Remus announced. "If you need anything through the Floo Network, just call me, and I'll be here to open up for a meeting. We need to start heading out now, as Ted and Andy are alone at the house," he added as he stood up. Before anyone could react, Kingsley burst into the room, clearly out of breath and in a hurry, startling everyone.
Arthur inquired about the events at the Ministry, asking Kingsley if something had occurred there.
Kingsley shared that the Dark Lord's serpent companion Nagini and some of his devoted followers, the Death Eaters, were ruthlessly eliminated in a confrontation at Godric's Hollow. Additionally, the Dark Lord himself, in a fit of rage after losing his familiar, took the lives of two of his most trusted inner circle members, the Lestrange Heirs, as well as 30 lower-ranking Death Eaters. The announcement sparked jubilation among the assembled group, except Remus, Tonks, and the Twins, who couldn't help but display smirks of triumph, much to the annoyance of the others.
"You guys are grinning like someone just handed you a candy? You don't even feel bad about the deaths," Molly and Hermione said simultaneously, making them laugh.
"Do you both even hear yourself? They are death eaters who instil fear in everyone. They don't show mercy on women and female children, and you want us to feel sorry for them. Are you both mad or crazy women?" Remus asked, which shocked everyone.
"Listen, Molly and Hermione, this is a war, and it's costing lives. If we keep using stunners and jinxes like a bunch of schoolyard bullies, we won't win. If you're still following Albus, you could be the next one to lose your life. If he and the rest of us in charge had taken stronger actions to instil fear in the Death Eaters, maybe a 16-year-old boy could have grown up with his parents, living a normal life with his family and friends instead of fighting to survive." Tonks' words were filled with urgency and concern for their dire situation.
"Can't believe it! Even with the war going on, they're just sitting around discussing nonsense instead of getting out there and fighting," Fred ranted.
"Yeah, it's like they're obsessed with finding that one person trying to end this war on their terms," George added.
"We're out of Order because we're not gonna stick around to hear this nonsense when we've got better things to do," the Twins said together.
"Hey George, Fred, if you guys are free, come for dinner at our place this weekend. Mum wants to meet Harry's honorary brothers who looked out for him when we couldn't," Tonks said.
"Tonks. We'll be there; wouldn't miss it for the world," one of the twins replied.
"Great, Mum's been wanting to meet you guys for ages," Tonks said, and Remus nodded in agreement.
Then they disappeared from Grimmauld Place, leaving everyone from the Order speechless and confused about what had just happened.
Hadrian eagerly anticipates the upcoming weekend, as today is Friday, and tomorrow promises new opportunities. He is determined to confront Bellatrix and unravel the mystery weighing on his mind. In the meantime, he has reached out to Dobby and Winky, enlisting their help in scouring the castle for the elusive lost diadem.
"Dobby, Winky," he called and heard the twin pops.
"Master Hadrian called us," they said.
"Winky, Dobby, I have a task for you. Do you have time for that? You people are always so busy with the children at the manors, along with Kreacher," Hadrian questioned and was met with another pop sound as Kreacher popped into existence.
"Kreacher's handling the children at the manors with other elves, Master Hadrian. Dobby and Winky are doing your task," Kreacher said and popped out of existence. Hadrian was stunned for a few seconds but got his bearings and turned towards the other two.
"Dobby, Winky, I want you people to search Hogwarts castle from top to bottom without leaving any place for Ravenclaw's Lost Diadem and bring it to me because it is the last piece of the Dark Lord, and if I destroy it, then he can be killed without any problems," Hadrian ordered.
"Master Hadrian, we will begin our search immediately," Winky declared. She and Dobby then Disappeared to the castle, leaving Hadrian to his thoughts and a letter to Remus, knowing that by now, Remus, Tonks, and the Twins would be worried for him.
Dear Moony,
Hi Moony, I'm fine, and I hope you and everyone are fine. I have almost completed Old Coot's task, and I wanted to tell you that Nagini and I killed the Death Eater. I plan to help us gain the upper hand in the war. So I'm coming to Aunt Andy's house on the weekend for dinner, so inform them about it and, if possible, call Madam Bones there because we need her help.
How is my nephew doing? I hope you all are fine. I'm grateful for your support, Moony. I'm sure you've heard that Weasley and Granger have finally let me be. I'll explain everything in detail when we meet. For now, take care of yourself and others.
Your Cub.
"Kreacher", Hadrian called the elf.
"Yes, Master Hadrian, what can I do for you?" Kreacher asked.
"Kreacher, I want you to take this letter to my uncle Remus Lupin. I think he is with Andromeda Black, so there is no need to bring me the reply," Hadrian said, handing the letter to Kreacher.
"I will be doing it, Master Hadrian," Kreacher said. He popped away, and the next minute, he was met with two popping sounds.
"Master Hadrian, we have found Diadem in the come-and-go room," Winky said, bouncing on her balls with excitement, her voice filled with the thrill of discovery.
"That's a good job, Winky and Dobby. Now, return to the manors and continue the tasks I have assigned before," Hadrian said. The elves popped out of existence, and Hadrian took the wreath, placing it on the ground. He then took Gryffindor's sword and stabbed it, immediately met with a screeching sound. A black mist rose from the wreath, but after some time, it evaporated. That night, Hadrian slept peacefully, reassured that Voldemort was mortal and could be easily defeated.
In the picturesque countryside of France, Voldemort found himself grappling with a profound sense of weakness, a result of both magical exhaustion and the absence of his Horcruxes. Unbeknownst to him, his arrogance had led him to believe that no one was aware of his anchors, and he remained oblivious to the fact that only two of them had been destroyed: the Diary and his faithful companion, Nagini.
As Voldemort's magical prowess fluctuated wildly, he was compelled to seek rest, unaware that his absence directly contributed to the dwindling of his magical power. Meanwhile, across the English Channel, the Boy-who-lived and his steadfast companions proved to be an invincible force, systematically dismantling Voldemort's formidable army.
The weekend came, and Andy and Tonks were ecstatic to be hosting Hadrian after such a long time. They decided to prepare a feast of Hadrian's favourite dishes, so they dashed around the kitchen, preparing everything from scratch. The aroma of cooking filled the house as they worked tirelessly to make the evening special.
Meanwhile, Amelia, a higher official and head of the House of Bones assigned Ted and Remus the task of thoroughly cleaning the entire house in preparation for Hadrian's visit. Although they were happy to help, the sheer magnitude of the cleaning task began to grate on their nerves. Nevertheless, they rolled up their sleeves and set to work, determined to make the house spotless for the upcoming gathering.
"Hey Andy, do you think Rian will mind all of this?" Ted questioned.
"Ted, I know he won't mind, but he's the Lord of my house, and he's reinstated our family into his folds, which is a great honour. I'm not going to sit quietly," Andy answered firmly.
"Andy, I know I'm Lord Black, but that doesn't mean you can forget that I'm your godson first and then your Lord," Hadrian said, entering and bringing everything to a halt.
Remus pointed his wand at Harry's throat and asked, "If you are Harry Potter, tell me what your patronus is and when you met me and Tonks for the first time."
Harry replied, "My patronus is a Stag. I first met you on the Hogwarts Express when you kindly offered me a bar of chocolate to help ward off the effects of Dementors. As for Tonks, I met her when she and Aunt Andy and Uncle Tonks visited Gringotts to meet me after Sirius adopted me and arranged for them to become my godparents alongside you," Hadrian explained.
Remus enveloped Hadrian in a tight, warm embrace, his arms wrapping around him protectively. Hadrian returned the hug with equal enthusiasm, feeling the strength and comfort of his father figure's embrace.
"Wotcher Rian," Tonks greeted him cheerfully, attempting to hug him as well. Her attempt was slightly awkward due to her pregnant belly, which caused Hadrian to chuckle in amusement. The sight of Tonks, usually so agile and energetic, struggling with her own body was a source of light-hearted humour.
"I'm doing well, Dora. I hope you and my nephew are both in good health," Hadrian replied, a warm smile gracing his lips as he spoke.
"And Ian, once you're finished catching up, come over here and hug your aunt," Andromeda called out, her arms open wide to welcome him.
"I'm fine, Aunt Andy. I hope you and Uncle Ted are well," Hadrian said.
"We are fine, Kiddo, but I see that you have gained muscle and got rid of glasses, hmm," Ted said.
"Yeah, I went to Gringotts a few days ago and got rid of them," Hadrian said.
"Okay, we can talk while having refreshments after the twins arrive. Till then, Amelia will be here," Andy said. Just then, the twins arrived and were surprised to see Hadrian there.
"Our Little Harrikins-
-filled up there nicely, looking-
-like a Greek God, how is-
How is our little brother doing?" the Twins completed.
Hadrian chuckled warmly as he remarked, "It's great to see that you all haven't changed much. I'm doing well."
It was a heartwarming sight as they greeted him, their voices filled with genuine affection as they called him "little brother" and embraced him. The conversation flowed seamlessly until 7:00, when the room was illuminated by the sudden flare of the floo, signalling Amelia's arrival, followed closely by Susan.
"I hope you don't mind, but I've brought my niece Susan along," apologized Amelia, explaining that she didn't want to leave the young girl alone in the manor.
"Very well, Amelia. I want to introduce you to my godson, Lord Hadrian James Aries Potter-Black, who is the esteemed Lord of the Most Ancient and Noble houses of Potter and Black. Also, please meet Lady Amelia Bones and Heiress Susan Bones, belonging to the prestigious Most Ancient and Noble House of Bones," Andy stated.
