ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 104: Chapter 104

Jason POV
The case has been investigated, and I didn't know what to choose; both ladies were Bella Carter by name. I had already found out the whereabouts of the other Bella Carter and ordered that she be put under surveillance.
Jack wasn't settled. He wanted Mattie.
"Oh my, has he been contaminated?"
It has been two days since I have sent my Luna away. My heart knew that she was innocent but my mind wanted to solve the mystery of the other Bella Carter.
I told Max that I wanted Bella out of danger.
"Get Bella back," I said handing Max a written note.
"Alright, Alpha," Max said and left for his office.
Hours later, I heard Bella's voice. But it was not her voice. I ran out of my office to see her. It seems like she has been given a poisonous substance.
"Let her be," I said, knowing that it had not yet spread around her body.
Bella looked at me and closed her eyes. I walked to her, raised her, and walked to the room, and only invited Max and Catherine.
Catherine ordered Samantha to get some mix while we went into the room. I placed her on the bed and cuddled her cheek.
"You will be fine," I said with my eyes piercing into hers.
She tried to speak but I wasn't going to allow that. It wasn't time for her to speak. I began to press her stomach while Catherine pressed her hand down.
The mix was brought, and Max collected it.
Bella cried as we did this. She tried to move but couldn't. After a while, we tied her hand to the bed and Catherine collected the mixture from Max and began to feed Bella.
Rather than drinking it, Bella spat it out and threw away the bowl from Catherine's hand. This made us shocked.
Since not everything was on the ground, I took the bowl and forcefully made her drink it.
After she had drunk it, she had a peaceful sleep.
"Should I call the doctor?" Catherine asked and I shook my head.
"She would heal by herself."
Jack told me that Mattie also had been injured. Wolves can recover fast.
I sat by Bella's side for one hour until she woke up.
"Where am I?" She asked.
I held up my hands and touched her hair.
"You are back to me,"
Tears well up her eyes as she hugged me.
"You suspected me, Jason. You got angry over nothing,"
Her voice was normal and I explained everything to her.
"I didn't mean not to trust you," I said.
She raised her head from my chest and shook her head.
"Everything is settled now, Jason," she kissed my forehead, then touched her stomach.
She asked of Catherine and I knew that she was concerned about Catherine's pregnancy.
Minutes later, she went to the bathroom to vomit. I felt relieved that she didn't take it as a big deal.
She walked to me and smiled while she held my hands.
"I had some bad dreams when I was alone," she said.
She narrated them to me and told me that it wasn't part of the book we read together.
"I am so glad that you brought me back instead they could have happened,"
I nodded with a smile playing on my lips.
To say that I was happy is little compared to how I feel right now.
A knock was heard on the door and I responded. Samantha walked in with a bow while I left the room and instructed her to let me know when she was done feeding Bella.
I met with Max who asked about Bella. After replying him, we went to the field to speak. There would be a meeting tomorrow and we were to plan how the meeting would be.
I suppressed the issue brawling in my heart and that was to know the reason why my Bella's name sake tried that rubbish.
"How do you want the meeting to go?" Max asked.
"Simple and Straightforward," I said. "I would like to give enough time to my Isabella."
Max's lips twitched, but he immediately returned it to normal.
"We would be discussing..." He was saying when Isabella's voice interrupted.
I thought she was eating. Why is she here?
I turned to see Samantha's gaze fall as she stood beside Bella.
"Alpha, what's this? A lady with the name Monabella Lisa Carter claims to be your mate."
I collected her phone from her and saw that she was the one who impersonated Bella.
"Get some Gamma to take Monabella on a public walk," I said to Max. "We can continue our conversation when they spring into action."
"Alright," Max said and left.
I looked at Bella and Samantha whose gaze was on the ground.
"Get back to the room, eat well, and wait till I come," I said, facing Bella.
Then to Samantha, I told her that she could leave after feeding Bella.
After they had gone, my expression darkened. Why would she do that? The public walk was just the beginning. Jack only agreed with Isabella Carter, not Monabella Carter.
Forty minutes later, Max came to my side but didn't utter a word as he saw my dark expression. I returned to my normal expression when Max had waited for five minutes.
"Alright, go on," I said.
Max swallowed hard and we began to discuss about how simple the meeting should be. It was only during an impromptu meeting that we always failed to plan.
After discussing with Max, I checked out some areas in the building before going to meet Bella.
I was joyful to see that Bella's mood had lightened.
"Mona is the person you spoke about, right?" She asked.
"Yes, she is. I want to know the reason she did that."
"She may want people to acknowledge her," Bella said laughing.
She looked more cute when she laughed and I could feel my heart warm up to her.
"I thought she was my adopted mother's daughter."
