Hours later, we started hearing noises. Catherine and Bella went to check through the window and sighed.
"Alpha Frederick is here," Catherine said, and Bella, who didn't know Alpha Frederick, eyes widened.
This is so fast.
"That was what you wanted," Jack said.
A smile curled up my lips as I heard voices outside of the door. I looked at Max who also looked at me. We got up and instructed the two pregnant women to stay in.
I walked out with an angry expression. People had gathered around Frederick but none chose to hurt him. He was an Alpha, after all.
I had sent an information to the counsel when I knew what he did to the dead Gamma. In the message, I informed the counsel of what took place the other day and how Frederick wanted to sleep with Bella. I did this so that they could let the public know about this.
"Order!" I said immediately I was outside.
Alpha Frederick was brought to my side, and I growled.
"Let's have a battle," I said. "If I win, then you will serve me forever, but if you win, I will let you go to your pack freely."
People hailed me and cleared the way. Frederick shook his head and moved back but was pushed forward. People looked angry and told him how shameless he was to want a pack's Luna.
"He attacked Gamma Gotta who is now under the ground," Max said, making the people move in fury.
They growled and wanted to jump on him but had to maintain their composition because of me.
Our fight wasn't long as I overpowered Frederick and threw him to the ground. I didn't mind where he crashed.
I wanted to kill him. The anger of trying to get Bella and also murdering Gotta hit me hard.
There was a large groan, and when we looked to the side, it was Frederick. It seems he had already given up.
I walked to him and pulled him up. He winked with pain, but I didn't care. I threw him back on the ground and then ordered that the jewelries he wore be stripped off him.
While I was going back to the pack house, Philip informed me that they had done as I demanded, that is, they had killed all his male children, sparing only one. That was a way to tell other packs not to trample on me or anything that had to do with my pack.
"Great job!" I patted his back. "You all can take a rest for the day."
I walked into the house and looked around. Bella wasn't in the living room so I decided to check our room. There, I saw Bella with Catherine. They were discussing.
I left immediately so that they don't see me.
I looked around and sat on a couch. Max sat beside me and observed my mood.
"Where should he be taken?" Max asked.
I didn't think of this before walking away.
"To the threshing house," I said. "Remember to compensate Philip and his team members for this wonderful act of theirs."
While I was speaking to him, Samantha walked to us and went on her knees.
"I was told to give you this," she said with her gaze on the floor.
"Who?"
"Luna Bella," she said.
With a smile, I collected it, ate a little portion then sent her away with the remaining. It was only then that I realized that she was no longer in the room.
After Max had gone, I got up and was about to leave when I felt stopped. I turned back and saw someone approaching me. Alex, Philip's right-hand man, approaches me with a bowed head.
"What is it, Alex?" I asked and sat back on the couch.
"Alpha!" Alex called with a bowed head.
He handed me a letter which I opened and tried to read.
"Alpha Frederick told us that this was the last letter that his daughter wrote before taking her life,"
I thought of how it concerned me, but after a while, I sent Alex to go back. I opened the letter and read.
I began to imagine how a father would make his daughter take her life because she didn't fulfill his wish. This fueled my anger and I wanted to murder him.
The letter was taken from my hand and I felt Bella embrace me.
"Bella!" I called.
"I had to go into the room with Catherine because I knew that you didn't want us to see it,"
I smiled and nodded. She was smart.
With a smile on her face, she read the content of the letter.
"Really!" She exclaimed. "Lisa is dead?"
Without responding to her question, I took the letter and kissed her forehead.
"You shouldn't think about that," I said then reminded her about the day Lisa came here. "I wouldn't have forgiven myself if anything had happened to you."
"Jason!" She called and hugged me.
I knew that memories of what happened before were appearing to her.
"Do not worry. Everything is alright," I assured her.
Hours later, Max walked in. It was evident that he was tired but I was sure that he won't say it.
"You should take some rest," I said but he shook his head.
"Within two minutes, you should receive a call. It's for Frederick,"
Why do I need to watch him, but wait, he is under us and won't try to act smart.
I received a call, but it was for Frederick. It looked like someone had put a recorder which connected my phone to his.
The person who was speaking to him sounded like a human. He spoke to Frederick about the reward he would get after he got Bella.
"Why does he need Bella?" I asked myself.
Trembling, Frederick told him that he had enough ladies in his pack and couldn't get someone who wasn't from his pack.
My next mission would be to find out who this greedy fellow is.
