Bella POV
Months passed and I adored Catherine more. My bond with Catherine and Samantha grew stronger. Catherine was like an elder sister to us.
After my finance classes, I always meet with her and Samantha. She taught us many things. Together, we always checked on Jeff.
Jeff could now walk very well and he was playful. I always thought of playing with him but considering my present state, I always disregard the thought.
Currently, I sat with Catherine while Samantha was giving Catherine a leg massage.
Catherine's body had grown bigger and she could give birth anytime from now.
"Ah," a sound escaped from Catherine's mouth and I saw that she held her waist.
"She is about to give birth," Mattie said.
Samantha was massaging her hand faster.
"It won't work," I said. "Take her to her room. She is about to give birth. I would go to stop the meeting."
It was wrong to stop the meeting abruptly but it concerned someone's life. I walked towards the meeting room door and flung it open.
"Whoever did that is meant to be punished," an elder said without turning back.
It was a meeting that needed concentration.
"It's Luna Bella," I said and they all turned.
The elder who spoke got up but I wasn't ready to reprimand anyone.
"Catherine is about to give birth,"
Immediately after I said this, everyone left the room. The pack doctor was called and we saw Samantha rubbing Catherine's hand. It was a way to relieve her from pain.
When Samantha saw us, she got up and allowed the doctor to attend to Catherine. The doctor told us to go out safe only Catherine's mate.
An hour later, we heard the cry of a baby. I was so happy and laid my head on Jason's chest.
"She wants to see our Luna," Max said when the doctor came out.
I walked in and saw the cute one that had been born.
"Cute one..." I said, getting up to touch the baby, but Catherine touched my face.
"Take care of my son, and tell Max that I love him," she said and I could feel life slipping out of her.
I didn't know what to do so I screamed.
"No, don't say that," I charged to the door that flung open before I reached it.
"She... she... Life is slipping out of her," I said to Max.
"Call the doctor back," Max screamed.
I walked to Jason, hugged him, and wept.
"Have you tried using your power?" Jason asked me.
Only then did I remember that I was too concerned that I forgot to release some energy to her since she wasn't dead yet.
The doctor was coming back and I rushed into the room.
Max was saying something like his final word to Catherine. Whatever I was trying to do could be risky to my baby but what life is important?
I drew near Catherine and used my power on her. It felt like my whole life was going out of me but my focus was on saving someone's life.
Slowly, I went down to the ground, and the last word that I heard was, "Bella!" From Jason.
When I woke up, I was on a bed and my eyes opened slowly. I had a faint vision of the people that were with me. I closed and opened my eyes and the person I saw in front of me was Samantha, she was fidgeting so she didn't see me. I looked at my right-hand side and saw Jason with his eyes closed. On my left was Catherine.
"Bella is awake," she said, forgetting to add Luna.
Jason's eyes flew open, and he smiled.
"I knew that you would pull through," he said. "You saved Catherine from death and didn't spare our little one."
He laughed and I asked if I lost our pregnancy.
"No, but you will need to give birth today," Catherine said and I smiled.
"My pregnancy isn't of age,"
The doctor came in, and they left the room, leaving only Jason. Jason held my hand as I tried to struggle with the doctor.
"We are grateful to the goddess that your fall wasn't severe," the doctor said.
Tears flowed down my face and I thought of how brave I was to save my sister's life at the expense of my child's life.
The doctor gave me an injection, and I thought I would sleep, but I didn't sleep; instead, I was calm.
After pushing, the baby was out. The baby was cleaned and given to his father.
After the doctor had gone, everyone who was outside came to see him. I wore a smile as I looked at his lips.
He looked tiny and I knew that it was because he came before he was meant to come.
Jason raised my head and placed it on his lap. The baby's cry filled the room. I looked at Catherine and Jason smiled.
He looked at Max and asked him to bring his son. I smiled knowing that he read my mind.
Catherine held her son and came to sit with me while Jason sat me up and walked to Max.
The two babies cried aloud like brothers. It was only then my baby's cry was about coming early into this world, while Catherine's baby cry was for coming into this evil world.
I touched Catherine's baby while she touched mine.
It was a joyful moment, and although I didn't want to have the baby, there was nothing I could do.
Jason gave someone a note.
"Can I say something?" I asked.
"Go on my love,"
"I don't want Elder Justice in any of your meetings again for six months," I said.
"Alright," Jason said.
I explained to Catherine what he said when I came to call Max. Let's see what he would do when he isn't involved in any of their meetings.
I knew that Jason would do just as I said.
Elder Justice could be an elder but he hurt my pride.
