Bella POV
Months passed and our babies were growing. Sometimes we always invited Jeff to see them.
"Catherine, since our babies have grown, can we take them to other children?" I asked.
Catherine smiled and nodded her head.
"Well, our Alpha son will be specially treated,"
My son, Jayden, was still little but I knew what his wolf looked like. He was a fairy.
Jason walked in on Catherine and me. He left after getting what he wanted, but he looked at me before leaving, making me remember what I was meant to do as the Luna of the pack.
I held up Catherine's hand and asked if she could accompany me. She began to laugh.
"I can't join you," she said, and it felt like I had been hit with a ball.
"Alright,"
I knew that she would reply to me like that, but I still waited for her to speak, hoping that she would say something else.
"Tomorrow, we will race together," I said.
Catherine was still recovering from a terrible illness that she had but I always told her to exercise with me. Her wolf was injured from the illness but it had started healing due to our room.
Jason always avoided that I use my power. He was careful that people would see it and report it to the enemy, and due to this, I was only allowed to run in the dark, that is, if I wanted to run in my wolf form.
"Alright, I will be going," I said to Catherine after getting all that I needed. "Take care of Nathan and Jayden."
With that, we both left the room. I waved to her and then called Samantha, who was to follow me around.
"Where are we going to, Luna?" Samantha asked.
"You can call me Bella when we are alone," I said but Samantha shook her head. Anyway, she could call me whatever.
I stopped for a while to hear. Something was going on in a far distance.
"What is it?" Samantha asked walking to my side.
"I think we need to change our direction,"
Among the noise, I could see and hear some people who were plotting evil. They knew the Luna would pass in that direction and set a trap for me.
"Alright," Samantha said.
We changed direction and finally reached a gathering of women.
After speaking with them, I was about to walk away with Samantha when two men appeared at our front. They were strangers.
"Has the Alpha seen you?" I asked and they laughed.
They charged forward and growled.
"Why are you here?" I asked since I couldn't read what was on their mind.
Samantha stared intensely at them and was about to throw a fuss when I stopped her.
"Are you the Luna?" One asked and I nodded. "Come with us."
I looked at Samantha and my wolf told me to run.
"Come with us!" He said, again.
"Run," Mattie said but I was concerned about Samantha.
I turned around and began to run then I heard Samantha's scream. When I looked back, she was pulled to the ground.
Taking a deep breath, I ran to Samantha and fought with the two of them. Everyone ran.
When they fell, I dragged them with me to where it was dark. Samantha walked behind me and I threw the men on the ground and turned to a tree.
"Bella! Bella!! Bella!!!" I heard Samantha call but I didn't care to answer.
I pulled off my clothes, looked back, and transformed into my wolf.
The men were trying to run away. They charged at Samantha and were about to strangle her when Mattie walked out and pushed them. They fell with a loud thud.
Mattie ran to them and tore them apart. When she was done satisfying herself, she walked to Samantha who fell on seeing her. Without a word, she walked to the pack that I pulled off my clothes.
"Good job, Mattie," I said then transformed into my human form.
I pulled on my clothes and stepped out. Samantha, who was fidgeting hugged me when she saw me.
"Bella!" She cried out.
"Do not tell anyone about what happened here. Not even the Alpha," I said and she wore a shocked expression.
"That was your wolf?" She asked and I nodded. "I promise not to tell anyone."
With that, we left for the pack house.
Jason drew me to himself when I was about to enter. He sent Samantha in and looked into my eyes.
"What happened out there?" He asked.
I explained what happened when I was with the women to him but he wasn't satisfied.
"And after that?" He asked.
"Nothing," I said with my gaze down.
I knew that I couldn't fool him but I wasn't going to let him know about the attack.
"You smell like you killed someone,"
"No, I didn't," I said.
He held my hand and shook me.
"Even if you did it, it's for your defense," he said. "Don't lie to me."
With my gaze on the floor, I nodded and told him everything.
"You defended Samantha,"
I nodded my head.
"Did anyone see your wolf tearing them apart?"
"Only Samantha," I said and he widened his eyes. "I warned her not to tell anyone."
"You believe that she won't,"
I nodded my head and he warned me.
"They are weak fellows. When threatened, they can spill out the truth."
I nodded but still maintained my trust that Samantha won't tell anyone.
"No one else should know about this. Catherine mustn't know,"
His last words were shocking.
Why shouldn't Catherine know?
Of course, I may not tell Susana. Yes, I said Susana. She shuffles between our pack and the human world.
"Alright," I said and walked into the house.
I saw Catherine playing with Nathan and Jayden.
After changing into a comfortable gown, I walked to her.
Jayden was overjoyed to see me and melted his face in my arms. I spoke with Catherine for some minutes before walking to my room with Jayden.
