Bella POV
It was a new day. I walked out of the room after eating, Jason had told me to hurry up today. The students weren't going anywhere but we were.
"Luna Bella," we met Emilia by the way.
She avoided the gaze of Jason but greeted him.
"Is grandmother inside?" She asked.
I knew that she was speaking about my mother, but I chose to feign ignorance.
Emilia explained who she was looking for and I pointed in.
"Hold on," I called as she was about to go into the pack house. "Why do you want to see her?"
"We suggest that she tells us whatever tale she wants to tell us during the day. Last night was scary,"
"Alright, you should ask for Luna Bella's mother," I said and left with Jason.
The student who fainted had been reviewed and we had taken her back to the guest house.
Currently, we were going to the house that my mother stayed in. We were going to check whatever was making the house uncomfortable for us.
We chose to walk there and spent more than thirty minutes.
Immediately, we pushed the house door open; we heard a wolf growl. Mattie danced uncomfortably in my head.
"I think Mattie doesn't want me to go in," I said.
Jason took in a deep breath and asked me what happened. I told him what happened, and he said, "Mattie knows the wolf and is ready to destroy it at any instant.
Well, that's true.
I walked in with Jason and the smell was bad.
"Does she burn coal here?" I asked as I saw a burning candle.
"Only witches do that, and I don't accept them in this pack,"
I nodded and we started. For me, I wasn't searching for things like Jason was. No, I was searching for the wolf.
"Where are you going?" Jason asked.
"Searching," I said and Jason nodded.
Before I could open a door, two people came in and greeted us.
"Come here," Jason said pointing to me.
I walked to him and he told the men what to do.
Minutes later, a man came out with a dress.
"What's that?" Jason asked.
"It stinks of wolf's blood," he replied and dropped it on the floor.
We got many items that told us that the house was cursed.
"How did she cope here?" I asked and Jason pointed to the candle.
We left the house after it had been cleaned.
Jason held my hand as we walked back home. He didn't say a word so I was sure that he was thinking. I didn't want to disturb his thoughts.
Samantha walked to me when we got home and greeted both Jason and I.
I walked in and Jason ordered that we should be served. One of the students came to tell me that my mom wanted to speak with me.
After getting permission from Jason, I walked to my mother, who asked me what had gone wrong.
"Nothing, it's just..." She placed her hand on my lip and asked if we had gone to her house.
I wanted to tell her the truth but seeing Jason's expression, he won't want me to tell her yet.
"Mother, you can ask the Alpha," I said, making it seem like I went somewhere else.
She mustn't know about what we saw in her house. She kept the fact that she had been living with a wolf away from me; maybe that was her friend.
"Come here," I heard and turned back. It was Jason. He carried Jayden from his grandmother's hand and held my hand.
He took us to his office and then locked the door.
"You should be careful around your mother," he said.
Why should I?
I didn't accept her, he did, and when I accepted her, he wanted me to be careful around her.
What does that mean?
"Alright, I will," I said. "But why do you always doubt people?"
"Bella!" He shouted my name.
We couldn't continue because of Jayden's tears.
I walked to my son and sang for him.
"You have a naughty voice," Jason joked.
"For a ruthless Alpha like you," I said.
For the first time, we kissed in the presence of Jayden. It was embarrassing how Jayden kept staring at us but we kept kissing.
Breaking away from the kiss, Jason asked me about what I discussed with my mother. I stared at him.
Didn't he just speak against her?
What more does he want to say?
"Give me an answer," he said.
"Mother asked me about where we went to, but I didn't tell her because I was thinking of you, Alpha Jason," I hugged him. "Is that all?"
Jason smiled and nodded his head. He squatted and carried Jason.
"You do know that Jayden can walk," I said and he smiled.
"If I can also carry you on my back, I word, you little child,"
I smiled at the sound of him calling me a little child.
Noticing the look on my face, he shook his head and said that he never intended to call me a little child.
"You can call me that," I sat with my legs crossed. "Then Jayden is your grandson."
We laughed and joked at everything that happened.
After having a fun moment together, we left to the living room where I saw the students relaxed as they were listening to my mother's tale.
"Don't you think it's cute?" I asked, trying to taunt Jason, who said I should be careful of my mother.
"Can you check what type of tale she is telling them?" He asked.
"I'm not going to spy on them," I said.
Jayden looked from his father's face to mine then to his father's.
"We aren't arguing, alright," I said like he could understand. "I am your mother, and also ."
Jason smiled and pulled me to himself.
"Right now, you sound like a baby to Jayden's little wolf," he said and I laughed.
Together we walked into the room.
