Bella POV
Ten minutes later, we went to the door side and the students were there.
Jason blessed them and pointed to a truck that was going to transport them and their load to their pack.
With a smile on my lips, I waved to the students and walked into the house.
"Back to normal duties," I said and walked to Samantha who saw singing to Jayden with Philip by her side.
Philip got up immediately I sat down.
"You should spend time alone with Philip," I said and raised Jayden to my hand.
Catherine walked to me and suggested that we go out.
"It's going to be fun if we can go somewhere..." She was saying when an Omega walked to my front and knelt.
"Alpha Jason called for you, Luna," the Omega said and I nodded.
After getting permission from Catherine, I walked to Jason's office.
"You called for me," I said immediately I entered his office but unfortunately my leg was hit by something. Jason was quick to hold me from falling.
I smiled at this and then had my sit on the couch.
"Now that we are done with the students, there are other duties that you need to do," he said.
"Alright," I said.
"Max will handle some and you will handle some," he said.
"Alright,"
He made me leave his office without telling me what to do. Weird!
I walked back to Catherine who was discussing with her son. She noticed my mood and asked me what happened in the office.
I taught her everything that happened, and she laughed.
"You are our Luna and you have been in this pack for long so you should know how to deal with him,"
She thought for a while and then told me that I had changed him a lot. This made me think of how he would have been when he became the Alpha.
"He was strict and got everything he wanted," Catherine said and laughed. "He never believed in love, you should know his reason, but he taunted Max in every way."
I laughed and stared sternly.
"Taunted Max?" I asked.
"Yes, he did," she said. "Max was all about speaking about me."
"Oh, wow," I nodded. "If you can also taunt him, it would be good."
We both laughed.
We got up to go out, and she asked about Samantha.
"I sent her to her mate," I said.
We walked out of the house, and I felt happy, but my phone rang almost immediately. It was Jason's call.
"I didn't tell you to step out," he said with a stern voice.
I stopped walking and looked at Catherine who also stopped.
"Alpha Jason is against me going out," I said.
"Then there is no problem," she said and we turned back.
After entering the pack house, I stormed into Jason's office.
"Oh, I am sorry," I said when I saw some elders look at me.
"It's no worry. Come in," Jason said.
I wanted to leave but Mattie told me that I was needed.
"Luna," an elder called. "You are too young for this but our Alpha wants you to do it."
I took a deep breath and thought of what he said. If I am too young for it, why would Jason want me to do it?
"You can fulfill this task, that is the reason I want you to do it,"
I mumbled the word, weird!
"What task?" I asked.
"Elder Kate would direct you on that," he said.
I gritted my teeth. If I could jump on him and give him a very good beating, I would.
"Alright," I said and left with Elder Kate.
Catherine had left and I guess that she had gone to Max.
I would have to do the task that I was told by myself and I wanted to scream.
"Go alone!" The word replayed in my mind.
I nodded and walked to my room, got the necessary equipment. This task should have been given to Max instead.
I walked to Jayden, who was in the room and took him to the playroom. He tried to cling to me, but I took his hand off me and left, ignoring his cries.
Getting out of the pack house, I thought of how the marketplace would look like now. I can still remember when he told me that it was risky to go out during the day.
What happened now?
Has the pack changed?
Walking alone on this road.
I continued walking under I got to the marketplace. I was tired by then but there was nothing I could do about it.
Looking forward, I saw the house on the map.
"What about the Gammas?" I stopped and looked around.
I was not the one to fight bad guys. Moreover, I am just a lady.
Tears started falling from my eyes as I thought of what to do if any attack happened.
"I can't allow Mattie out," I wept.
"You don't need to," Mattie said. "Just get in."
"Won't we be hurt?" I asked.
"Not sure," Mattie said.
Forcing a little smile on my lips, I walked into the house.
The door was open, so I walked in easily and thought of where the person I was to save was.
"Where do I start?" I asked feeling nervous.
I heard some sounds and went to hide.
"This isn't a Luna's duty," I said.
There was a sound on my phone and I took it out to look at it, but before I could swipe it open, someone held me.
"Let me out," Mattie pleaded but I didn't answer.
"Wow, it's you," the man said and showed me his face.
I couldn't remember his face but knew that I had seen him.
"Where is Samantha?" He asked and pushed me away.
"Let me out," Mattie pleaded but I shook my head.
Jason didn't want anyone to see my wolf.
"Tell me, where is Salmonella?" He held my throat.
"Let me out!" Mattie kept pleading but I didn't answer.
"Manuel!" I said when he left my throat.
