                    Jason POV
The doctor told Samantha everything she said to us, and Samantha squeezed her face.
"What is the ridiculous name?" She asked.
The doctor thought for a while before saying, Tuberculosis.
"Who bears Tuberculosis?" I asked.
"Manuel does," Samantha said.
I almost laughed but stopped when I remembered what Bella told me when I brought her back to this pack.
"He isn't innocent," she said and Philip walked in with a cup of cold water.
After Samantha drank the water, she looked at Bella.
"Thankfully, I saved the Luna without knowing," she said smiling. "I was punished and tortured by Manuel who slept with me."
I didn't want to believe it. A crazy man would do that, but when I looked at Bella's eyes I knew that she was saying the truth.
"Get her mother in," I said.
Before anyone moved, we heard a wolf sound outside.
"Get the woman in," I said.
Minutes later, the people who went to get her came in and told us that she was no longer outside.
"We would look for her later," I said. "Let's go inquire about the remedy from Manuel."
I changed my mind and sent some warriors to search for Bella's mother in the house that we cleansed while some warriors followed me.
Philip was about to come along, but I stopped him.
"Stay here with Samantha. Alex is with us,"
We entered the car and one of the warriors drove us to the asylum.
I asked for Manuel and was told that he was kept in a separate room.
"He tried killing someone," the attendant said and asked that Manuel be brought out.
Manuel had his head bowed when he interacted with me.
"I would say because you will use it to treat my daughter," he said and brought out a handkerchief. "Take this."
"What nonsense is this?" I asked.
"You may carry a murderous aura, but you can't enter the house without me," he said. "This handkerchief represents me."
I had a little communication with my wolf and he told me to take it.
Manuel explained how I would get to the house and I nodded.
"Do not take your warriors into the house," he said and left.
Taking a deep breath, I prayed in my mind and we walked to the car. I was ready to do whatever it took to get Bella alive again.
It was getting dark when we reached the house that he described.
"Alpha, do you believe that he doesn't have an ulterior motive?" Alex asked.
"Jack believes him," I said.
They know my wolf so it wasn't a big deal.
I stepped into the house.
"Who are you?" A lady asked and I unconsciously raised the handkerchief.
To my surprise, it worked its magic.
"Why were you sent here by Tuberculosis?" She asked.
That name made me smile.
Why did he call himself that?
"Hey, Mister!"
I wanted to shout at her but couldn't. I came here to look for a remedy.
"What should I say?" I mumbled to myself.
"He needs me to get a remedy for stroke," I said, not sure if I was right.
"Not a normal stroke," the lady said but I didn't understand.
My phone rang and it was a warrior of mine.
"Please, excuse," I said and left to answer the call.
"If I am not out within ten minutes, then you can take action," I said to Alex, then walked to the lady.
"You should be good," the lady said, but I wasn't ready for that.
She took me to a room and handed me a leaf, and bottle.
"Give the person this leaf to eat and when she is done, let her drink the whole content of the bottle," she said. "It will flush down both the poison and the remedy. She won't be hurt."
Never had I been nervous like this.
When she was done, I walked out and to the car.
"Alpha!" Alex called.
"It's okay," I said raising my hand.
The ride to the pack was long.
Rain began to fall and the person that was driving stepped on the accelerator to increase the speed.
We got to the pack house and I immediately dashed out of the car.
To my surprise, the doctor was still there.
"Here," I gave her.
Bella was already sleeping and when I asked if she had eaten, I was told that she was fed with some soup since it affected her chewing.
The doctor made her swallow the leaf and asked for a small bowl to be brought. She made Bella drink the whole content of the bottle, then made her bend.
Everything splashed out from Bella's mouth then the doctor gave the bowl out. She checked Bella's wrist and nodded.
"Is she better?" I asked and the doctor smiled.
"Yes Alpha, she is,"
I felt relieved and asked that a room should be prepared for her to spend the night.
Bella wore a smile after the doctor left, and I raised her to sit on the couch. I placed her head on my chest.
"Jason," she called softly.
"Do not speak, you can do that tomorrow," I said and gave her a peck.
Samantha kept staring at her while Philip left.
Bella sighed and hugged me tightly. She raised her head up and saw Samantha and beamed with joy.
Samantha waved to her and Bella asked about Jayden.
"He is with Catherine," I said and rubbed her hair.
A few minutes later, I carried her and took her into the room.
After placing her on the bed, I touched her hair, thinking of what would have happened if I lost her.
"I love you, Bella,"
"I love you too, Jason," she said with a smile.
She was tired so I got up and switched off the light.
She held tightly onto me and I patted her hair as she slept.
I couldn't find sleep, so I hummed a song, remembering my younger days. My mind went out to the ladies in Manuel's house.
"If I can, I will save them from that place," I said to myself.
