ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 138: Chapter 138

Bella POV
It was a new day, I sat with Catherine. We were discussing how best it was for us to go out.
"What if Jason calls me back?" I asked thinking of the last day I wanted to go out without taking permission.
"I am sorry that you had to experience such a day," she said to me.
Meanwhile, it was not her fault so why should I blame her? It was just that I didn't take permission from Jason and he called me back, sent me on an errand and then I almost got killed by Manuel.
"You should tell him that you want to go out," she said but I shook my head.
I wasn't ready to see his angry expression.
"Alright, I would go to him," Catherine said and got up to her feet, but I was fast enough to pull her down.
"No, don't go," I said.
She shook her head and patted my cheek like I was a baby.
"You are scared of Jason," she said but I shook my head. "You can't tell me that you are not."
"Don't just do it," I said and looked away.
She also looked away, got up from the couch and went away. This action made my heart broken.
I watched as she went to her mate's office. I couldn't risk anything anymore.
"Jason!" I called as he walked to the living room.
He gave me a stern look making me fidget, but I maintained my composure and walked to him.
"Catherine wants us to go out," I said.
He held my chin, kissed me then left. Such a weird man! I watched him as he left and my heart began to yearn for Catherine.
Taking a deep breath, I walked to the Beta's office.
"Save me, oh goddess," I prayed then looked at the door.
The door wasn't fully close so I stole a glance into it and looked at Catherine whose attention was on Max.
I saw Max pick up his phone to call someone while I tried calling Catherine without disturbing Max, but luck wasn't on my side.
Few minutes after Max placed the phone down, Jason came and grabbed my hand.
"Alpha!" I called.
Without listening to me, he took me to the room and placed me on the bed.
"What were you doing there? Thankfully, Max called me before anyone saw you,"
It means that Max saw me.
"I was there to..." I was saying.
"Keep quiet," he said.
I wiped the tears that were rolling down my eyes. Yes, I am always afraid of this side of his.
"Jason!" I called.
What is this?
Why did he lash out at me?
My chest began to hurt and I wasn't hearing anyword that he said until he said that they were busy.
He walked out of the door and I held my chest.
"Mattie!" I called but there wasn't a response.
I got up and walked to the door, but discovered that it had been locked. I held onto my chest.
"If anyone happens to me, I would never forgive Catherine.
Tears began to drop from my eyes as I crawled on the floor. I got to the bed and climbed on it, tore a paper and took up a pen.
I wrote the reason I was spying and dropped the pen on the paper.
"Mattie!" I called with a shaky voice but I heard nothing. This made tears fall from my face.
I kept weeping until I had no more strength. My body became weak and my hands freely fell.
The door opened and something was thrown to me.
"Wear this," he said. "Two cheerleaders are visiting today."
I smiled in my mind. Who was he telling? Someone who can move or someone who can't.
"Bella!" He called my name but heard no response.
I heard his footstep approaching me but he was stopped by a call from Max.
Minutes later, someone came in. It was Samantha.
How I wished that I could hug her. Her eyes met the paper that I dropped and her first action was to call, Alpha.
"No one cares about me," I said inside me.
Few minutes later,
Jason, Catherine, Max and Samantha walked in and Jason turned me over.
"Bella!" Jason called.
I wanted to tell him that I was hurting in my chest, but I couldn't speak so I got a pen and wrote on a page that he should enjoy his time with the cheerleaders and tell them that he shouted at his mate so much that it affected her wolf.
I wore a smile as I gave him the page.
"Bella, I am sorry," he said with a sad expression.
Max and Catherine collected the page and read. They took the first paper that Samantha showed them and Catherine flipped to the back, and read aloud.
"If anything happens to me, I won't forgive Catherine,"
My wolf could make me heal fast, but now that she has also been injured badly, I don't think I can heal fast.
"Get the doctor!" Jason screamed and raised my head.
Minutes later, we were told that the doctor was busy and also her assistant.
The pain on my chest was getting much as if I wanted to die. Slowly I closed my eyes but Jason wouldn't allow it. He poured water brought by Catherine and later I could hear the doctor's assistant.
She placed her hand on my chest and it began to burn.
"Is she ok?" I heard Max ask
"She would need to be transported to another pack," the assistant doctor said.
In my heart, I was laughing at Jason.
"Are you sure that she would be better after that?" Jason asked.
"Yes she will, but her voice may not come back,"
That was the last time I heard before closing my eyes.
While my eyes was closed, I saw a man dip my head into a water. I felt weak when he brought it out and gasped for air.
