Bella POV
My eyes flew open and I saw Jason in some sort of panic.
"Bella, why this day?" I could hear him think.
I thought of the two cheerleaders that were Jason's priority now. Why did he want me to get better? Afterall, he could go to the cheerleaders and I won't do anything.
"Alright doctor, what pack should she be transferred to?" Jason asked.
"Gemini pack. This pack has the greatest technology almost close to human technology," she said. "The medical team over there is topnotch."
"They may not be the strongest pack but they have the best medical practice and team of doctors,"
Jason shook his head and told her that he would like to hear the same thing from her boss before taking action.
"Alright, Alpha," she said.
A call was put to the pack doctor and she was asked if she was done treating the person.
"Once you are done, kindly come to the pack house," Jason said.
Forty minutes later, the doctor arrived and everything was explained. Catherine also explained to her what her assistant said.
She hurried to my side and performed some tests on me.
Minutes later, she nodded her head, looked at everyone in the room and confirmed that whatever her assistant said was true.
"She needs to be transferred to Gemini pack for treated but that doesn't guarantee that she would be able to speak," she said. "Let's just hope that her wolf recovers fast and is able to growl."
Jason held me close to his chest and rubbed my back. I thought of all the days that we were together. Our fights and our love. This made tears fall from my eyes.
"He can get married to another lady of his choice," I thought and remembered the days that we fought.
None of those days were as painful as this. I didn't think that I would ever have an burn in my chest after our fight.
After the doctor left, Catherine got down to her knees.
"I am sorry, Bella," she said. "It's my fault, I should never had gotten angry with you."
I laughed at the thought of what would have happened if we had gone out and how angry Jason would have been knowing that the cheerleaders are coming.
I drew to the top of the bed then took the pen and book.
After flipping to a page, I wrote, 'Who will wear the dress you brought in? Have a great time with the cheerleaders.'
Jason read it and before he could speak, someone came in to tell him that the cheerleaders were outside. He shook his head and with my hand that was getting numb, I wrote to him that he shouldn't send them away after much preparation.
I could see the dull expression on his face.
After some minutes, he left with Max.
Samantha and Catherine sat on both of my side and I could see the sadness in Samantha's face.
"You need to get better, Bella," she said. "Susana would be coming here tomorrow."
I tried to move up, wanted to write to her but my body felt paralyzed. I could still move my neck, but my body was now stiff.
"Do not worry," Samantha said then I watched as she teared up. "I wonder how she is going to feel if she ever gets to know your condition."
I wanted to hold my friend's hand, wanted to hug her. She was saying words that sounded emotional to me.
"Bella, Catherine has apologized," Samantha said and looked at Catherine. "Forgive her."
I shook my head.
I would only accept her apology when I get better. Now that I know who it was that Max called when I was calling Catherine, I won't also forgive Max and also Jason although my heart still beats for him, I won't forgive him.
Samantha is the only one I have now to stand next to me.
"You will need to forgive her, Bella," Samantha said. "It's part of the healing process."
I looked at Catherine whose eyes was filled with tears. I felt bitter, but what could I do? She needs to learn not to put me on the edge.
What would have happened if I agreed to going out with her? What would have happened if I had gone to Jason.
Jason won't have permitted me.
"I should get Jayden here," Samantha said and left before I could shake my head.
"Bella," Catherine called and held my hand but I gave her a stern look that made her withdraw her hand.
I still saw her as my elder sister, but whatever she does now isn't my business.
Soon Samantha came in with Jayden who happily climbed on the bed. He looked at me and smiled. I could see in his eyes that he was yearning to be played with.
Jason walked in with Max and I was greatly displeased as Jayden walked to his father. I closed my eyes and could feel tears slipping down my eyes.
I felt a little hand touch my face and when I opened my eyes, it was Jayden. This made me smile. I wanted to hug him but my arms were not moving.
Jayden knelt on the bed and gave me a peck on my forehead just like his father always does. This made me so happy that I wanted to kiss him back but I couldn't.
"I love you, mom," he said and began to jump.
This made me laugh, however, Jason held him back.
"Your mother needs to rest," he said and carried him away.
This made me look sad as I wanted to spend some time with my son before I am taken away.
In the evening, I was wheeled out of the room and I saw my mother walk to me. She heard of everything that happened but didn't want to see me sad.
"You shouldn't be sad, Isabella," she said. "You have a great wolf. She is always ready to help you."
