Jason POV
I sat on the couch in my office thinking of all that happened yesterday. I would need to start planning how to transfer Bella to Gemini pack.
"Jason, I know you are worried now," Max who was sitting beside me said. "As much as I want to take the blame for what happened, my heart doesn't feel the same way."
I was shocked by what he said. Why would he blame himself?
"Why should you blame yourself?" I asked.
"For calling you," he said. "If I hadn't..."
I placed a hand up. He shouldn't blame himself.
"You did nothing wrong by thinking she was spying,"
"She is a little girl, and I guess that is the reason she got scared when you shouted at her," Max said and I sighed.
If I hadn't shouted at her, Mattie wouldn't have gotten hurt. Bella couldn't eat or sleep well last night because of the burn in her chest. We have to feed her with milk as her body was unmovable.
I didn't allow Jayden anywhere close to his mother although I could see the desperation of wanting to speak to her son in Bella's eyes. It would be best if he is away from him mother from now because he may not like it when she is away.
"What are you thinking about?" Max asked.
"Jayden!" I said.
Max smiled and shook his head.
"Do not worry, he has both his godmother and Samantha here," he said and I laughed.
I thought of Catherine.
"I would like you to bring the three children here," I said and he smiled.
After he left, I walked to my office and held up a book that I would like to read. I read it for few minutes then the door flew open.
Jeff walked in with Nathan and Jayden.
"Alpha!" He said and the two of them repeated after him only that Jayden covered his mouth when laughing.
"Father!" He called and ran to me.
Max smiled at this, and crossed his heart. This made me shake my head and tease him. Nathan was also holding to his father so why was he looking at me like I am a type of sinner.
"Go to uncle," I said and Jayden respectfully went to Max.
It always make me smile whenever I look at my son. He wasn't yet a year old, and his birth came prematurely but now one can't tell that it happened.
"I called you here for a purpose," I said. "Luna Bella won't be around for a while."
Jeff and Jayden both wore mixed expression but I was sure that they understood what I said.
Some minutes later, Max took them back to their play room and I chose to accompany him.
In the room, they were all singing like little babies would, and that earned them a smile from me.
I knew that the task would be too much for Samantha as she was also working here, so I walked to Nathan's nanny who got up.
"Alpha!" She called with her head bowed.
"I would transfer Jayden also to Nathan's room," I said. "Omega Samantha may come over to see him, and take care of him, but his care is now your duty."
"Alright, Alpha," she said and I turned to leave.
In my office, I sat down and began to pen things on a paper.
"What are you doing?" Max asked and I looked up with a smile on my face.
"Nothing much," I said and dropped down the pen.
"We are meant to plan how we are going to send Bella to Gemini pack," I said and Max nodded.
"That's right," he said. "Isn't that what we have been doing."
I stared at him as I didn't understand what he was saying.
"What do you mean by that?"
"First, you called the children here to inform them that Bella won't be here for a while, then you made Nathan's nanny to take care of Jayden just as Bella would do."
I nodded after realizing that I have been planning all along, but now we needed to plan in-depth.
"Alright, take your seat," I said.
We both sat on the couch.
"What route is faster to Gemini pack?" I asked.
We kept discussing about how to transport Bella to Gemini pack without her getting stressed.
"I know Luna Bella to be a strong fighter and I am sure she would overcome this and get her voice back," Max said.
I nodded when I heard him say 'get her voice back '.
What pack would have a Luna without a voice?
I knew what Bella was thinking of, but how can I? It was difficult for me to fall in love with her so how can I easily get myself another Luna?
Memories of my parents started flooding my heart and I remembered what they told me about my father's father. The man had to step down from his throne when his wife died, but my father did that when his health was deteriorating.
Since none of them had another Luna, why should I? I would rather give Max the position and if he deems it fit, he can hand over the position to Jayden when he grows.
"You are thinking of the wrong thing again," Max said. "Trust Isabella."
I looked at him and shook my head. Did I tell him that I don't trust Isabella?
"Anyway, let's continue discussing how to transport Isabella to Gemini pack," he said.
After we were done discussing how to transport her, we began to discuss about how we would get her prepared.
While preparing, I heard someone call me. It was a voice that we hear one or two weeks every months.
"Isn't that your wife's friend?" Max asked.
"Susana," I said. "Ariana's..."
"Yes, I know," Max placed his hand on my lip. "Let's go to see her."
I cleared my throat, and with a hand in my pocket, I walked out to see Susana who was excited to see me.
