ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 142: Chapter 142

Jason POV
After dressing early in the morning, I went out and saw that the table had been set. The sixteen of us sat each on a chair.
Alpha Audra walked in and sat. I knew that I was the reason he came to eat in the guest house.
"What about Luna Safari?" I asked.
"On her way," he said and I nodded.
They were both older than me in age, but my status was higher than theirs. I was a Lycan Alpha while he was an ordinary Alpha, but not under my constitute. We have never fought but only met during Alpha's party and our bond has grown.
The beautiful woman came to sit and Alpha Audra told me to begin, but I shook my head.
"This is your territory," I said. "Begin."
He smiled and picked up his fork. After he had taken a bite, I took a bite and we started eating.
After eating, I drank some water and observed their custom of washing their hands after eating, even when they ate with a fork. I also did the same and the other people followed suit.
I saw both Alpha Audra and Luna Safari smile.
"It is good to uphold the customs of whatever pack that you are in," I said, cleaning my wet hand. "As an Alpha, I am to stand as an example."
Audra looked at his mate and nodded.
"Alpha Jason, you are full of wisdom," Luna Safari said. "I would pray every night that Luna Bella becomes better."
I nodded and relaxed a bit.
"We would be leaving," I said.
Alpha Audra raised his hand up and asked where I was going.
"We would go to the hospital then leave,"
He nodded his head and said that he would like to go along with us.
"They can come along in the truck but we are going together in the car," he said.
The fifteen men went into the truck while I went to Alpha Audra's car. The truck followed behind us.
Getting to the hospital, it was another episode; everyone paid respect to Alpha Audra, Luna Safari, and me.
We saw Bella and I spent five minutes with her before leaving.
I entered the truck and waved to Alpha Audra who promised to take good care of Bella.
After leaving the pack, I let a sigh, knowing that Bella wasn't in my pack now and I would need to go on this six to seven-hour journey just to see Bella.
I took up the water bottle that I had filled when I was there and drank a little water from the bottle.
Two hours later, I slept. I didn't get enough sleep at night because I was thinking about Bella.
I woke up and asked for the time. My sleep was just for twenty minutes.
In the next few hours, we arrived at our pack and the people around me all shouted, "Glory to Dark pilot pack."
People who saw the truck also joined.
The ride was slow but steady. It was a six hours ride and I thought of all that could be happening in the pack house.
Immediately the truck approached the pack house, everyone hailed, "Glory be to our Alpha."
Catherine walked with Max and called me in.
I walked in with them and sat in the living room.
A while later, Samantha walked with Jayden and released his hand. He walked to me and played with my fingers.
I wasn't in the mood to play with anyone so I withdrew my finger.
My mind was on Bella. I knew that they would take care of her but I would miss her and don't know when she would be cured.
The doctor also didn't know and told me to trust the goddess.
"Announce that everyone should be gathered here at night," I said to Max. "Ten p.m."
Max nodded his head and went to make the announcement.
I walked to my room and leaned by the window side. Jayden, who I had placed on the bed, made a sound, and I looked at him as he pointed to his mother's picture.
"Mother!" He called and I knew that he wanted to see his mother.
I walked to sit beside him and touched his hair.
Soon, we started discussing. He was such a cute child that as soon as I tickled him, he stopped weeping.
I raised him to my lap and he laughed so heartily.
My mind raced to how Samantha left him to come to me.
How did she know that I needed someone to lighten my mood?
"Jayden!" I called. "Did you tell Aunt Samantha that you wanted to see your father?"
Jayden looked up and shook his head.
"Where is Mother?" He asked.
I smiled and raised him to my leg.
"Mother is coming," I said and he giggled. It was similar to Bella's giggles.
He got up and hugged me.
I decided that it would be nice to take care of him and spend time with him so that he doesn't miss his mother too much. There was Samantha and Jason's nanny to take care of him, but none of those loves could compare to a parent's love.
I promised to take him to see his mother one of these days, but won't the journey be too stressful for him?
A few minutes later, I took him out with me and placed him on my back. I could hear his giggle as I walked to the living room.
Max was also smiling and I could only smile.
I walked into my office and placed him down. Soon Max entered with Nathan. It was surprising how the two friends ran to each other. I shook my head and thought of what would happen if the two friends grew up.
Oh, no, I can't them friends but brothers just like I am to Max.
"Bring them closer," I said as I knew that Max wanted to speak to me.
"Have you made the announcement?" I asked and he nodded.
