Jason POV
"How do you want the prayer arrangements to be?" Max asked.
I rolled my eyes and thought of how the prayer should be.
"Let's have it at a place where the moonlight can be seen," I said.
We deliberated on how we wanted the prayer to be while the brothers played excitedly. I smiled, knowing that the moon goddess was going to be kind to us and allow Bella to recover fast.
After I was done speaking with Max, he looked at the children and then at me.
"Take them out with you," I said knowing fully well that none of the brothers would like to leave each other at this point.
"Take care of them," Max said. "I will be coming back for Nathan."
Before he could get out, Nathan already clung to him like he was not going to see his father again.
I let out a laugh as I saw this. Jayden didn't weep but waved to Nathan.
I opened my system to see what new message I had gotten and saw that there was nothing, so I shut it down and walked out with Jayden.
After stepping into the room, I looked around if I could see Samantha as I needed to be alone by myself. I wanted her to take care of Jayden but I guess that she was busy.
I found Catherine on the couch. She was typing on her phone so I sent Jayden to her, but Jayden didn't want to leave my hand.
"Jayden, go," I pleaded but he shook his head.
I wanted to be angry by this action of his, but when I thought about it, I let out a smile, knowing how stubborn I was when I was young.
We left to the room and I placed Jayden on the bed. I thought of the prayer that was going to happen.
"I would spend the night in prayers before the main prayer begins by 10pm,"
I walked to the bathroom to rinse my face then walked to the bed to lie down. Jayden placed his little hand on my chest making me remember his mother.
"Jayden!" I kissed his finger.
This action made him laugh and I patted his cheek. He was my comfort.
Getting to the living room, I saw Catherine with her son, Nathan, and looked towards the stairs where I saw Jeff coming down.
I left Jayden to Jeff, who was like his elder brother.
With a smile on my face, I patted Jayden's cheek and walked away.
Max came to meet me by the garden and sat beside me.
"It's almost evening, and I am sure that you haven't had adequate rest," he said. "Go into your room, take ten minutes nap then come out."
"And Jayden?" I asked because I knew that Jayden would want to come along.
"Do not worry about him. Catherine would take care of him," Max said and I nodded.
"Alright,"
I walked in with Max and went to the room.
Ten minutes later, I was out and decided to go on a walk with Max.
"I would be ready ten minutes from now," Max said.
I went into the room, got my clothes changed, then walked out. I had a little fun time with Jayden before Max came out.
Max gave Catherine a peck on her forehead before we left.
Our walk was a silent one. None of us said anything. I knew that he wanted me to think.
We got ourselves some ice cream and got for home also. Minutes later, we walked back home.
It was weird how none of us said anything.
When we got home, I asked for Jeff, who was brought to me, handed him an ice cream, then handed Jayden another one, while Max gave ice cream to both his son and his wife.
Samantha walked to Jayden and touched his cheek.
"It's time to take your night bath," she said. Jayden looked at me and I nodded.
"Hold on, Samantha,"
"Yes, Alpha,"
I wanted to clarify something that I was thinking about.
"Are you pregnant?" I asked, and she smiled, touching her stomach before nodding.
"Yes, Alpha," she said.
I advised her to be careful when dealing with Jayden.
"Alright, let's go to eat," Max said and I cleared my throat.
"I am not eating," I said and Max sighed.
"If the Alpha doesn't eat then who are we to eat?" He asked.
"You shouldn't worry about me," I said. "If you do not eat because I have chosen not to eat, then I will be sad."
Max nodded but suggested that I sit with them though I won't be eating.
I agreed and followed them to eat, although I pressed my phone while they were eating.
After they were done, I left for my room, drew the curtain open, looked to the moon, and praised the moon goddess for such a wonderful sight. I sat down on the bed and began to pray.
I didn't know when I became soaked. The intensity of my sweat was because of the way I prayed.
There was a knock on the door and I looked at the clock. It was already 10 p.m., a time designated to pray for Bella. It would be a two-hour prayer.
I walked to my wardrobe and got my clothes changed, then walked out to the place where the prayer was to be held.
People were sitting down and the elder who was to lead us in the prayer was already present.
The prayer started and we all raised our hands to the moon and prayed that the moon goddess would protect Bella.
Everyone except the children was present. It was a two-hour prayer, and soon, it was midnight.
"It's a new dawn," The elder said and got up. "The goddess has answered our prayers."
We were all served what to eat, and I ate joyfully knowing that no harm would befall my Bella.
After eating my egg sauce, Max tapped me, I got up and retired to bed.
