Minutes later, I cleared my throat and looked at Max. Before the I could speak, Catherine spoke, "How is Bella?"
"She is fine," I said.
I began to explain everything that happened to during our visit and how she has recovered.
"Audra plans to get her voice back," I said.
"Really!" Max and Catherine smiled and I nodded my head.
"But there is a clause," I paused.
"What is it?" They asked.
"We aren't sure that the treatment would work but it has no side effects,"
"Side effect?" Max asked them decided that we should go into his office to discuss.
Whenever I went into Max's office this two weeks, I always remember when I shouted at Bella.
"Alright," I said.
He held Catherine's hand and together we walked into his office.
After locking his door, Max asked me what I meant by side effects, and I told him how they had three ways to three Bella's condition.
"They use two methods on people because they work effectively, but they have side effects," I paused and tried to recollect all that Audra had told me. "For a method, its side effect is memory lost."
The couples looked at themselves and shook their head.
"The second one side effect makes half of the brain dead," I said.
Before I could continue speaking, Catherine asked why they do that when they know that they are risking a life.
"There comes the last one that doesn't have any side effect if it doesn't come out fine," I said then sighed. "It takes the person through spiritual moments. Some people see the future during this period."
I looked from Max to Catherine.
"For the last one, it's a painful and torturing moment. After the treatment one may be healed or not but would never experience any side effect,"
They understood what spiritual moments meant so they understood why the two other treatments were preferably chosen.
Catherine held my hand and I could already sense that she was weeping for Bella.
"It's a painful process Catherine, but let's pray that it would be good," Max tried to console Catherine and I got up when she left my hands.
"Jason, can we stay awake by 10pm today so that we can pray for Bella?" Catherine asked. "Three of us."
I nodded my head and went to pour myself some water.
We left Max office, and I went into my office. There was nothing to do, but if I couldn't go to the cabin, then my office is the next place.
I left the office and went to the dark house. I sat there quietly reminiscing the days we stayed here.
Jack wanted to be let out, wanted to be seen and I was going to give him control.
I transformed and looked out of the window. The window was also dark so no one could see me.
An hour later, I transformed into my human form and went out. My eyes wandered around the place and I decided to go to the training ground.
In the training ground, people who noticed me starting training harder and this made me smile.
After leaving the training ground, I chose to walk on the busy street but couldn't walk for so long as my phone rang.
"Where are you, Jason?" Max asked.
I told him what I was and he sighed.
"You should come back now," he said. "Jayden will like to see you."
I sighed as the call ended.
Immediately, I left to the pack house where I saw Jayden.
"What's up little 'J'?" I asked.
He pointed to the plate in Samantha's hand and I guess why they called me.
It was time for Jayden to eat, but he didn't want to be fed by anyone.
"Give it to me," I said and sat down.
Little Jayden sat on my lap and I fed him until he was satisfied.
"Samantha, take care of Jayden," I said and left.
My thoughts went to Bella. If she was here, I would like us to be close to Jayden.
Hours later, the sun began to go down and I walked to the house. I went to my room and had a nap.
I was woken by a knock on the door and this made me think it was ten p.m so I got up but before I could go to change my clothes, something made me check the time. I let out a sigh when I knew that it was the time for us to eat.
The knock came again.
I quickly rinsed my mouth and went to the door. Max, who was standing there helped me to adjust my shirt before we left to eat.
After eating, we sat to eat and Catherine came to join us.
"Where should we meet?" She asked and I pointed to an empty room.
"Alright," she said and left to Samantha. They were there with the children; Jeff, Jayden and Nathan. The three of them were playing.
"I would visit Bella two weeks from now,"
Max sighed and asked if he could come along.
"Do not worry, the pack would be safe,"
I nodded, and he joked, "We can leave by 7a.m, then spend three or four hours with her before leaving."
"It won't be fun," I said and he nodded.
We left and agreed to meet by ten p.m. I left to my room and rested a bit. I set my alarm to ring so that it would wake me if I sleep while resting.
By ten p.m, I got up and changed my clothes before heading to the room I mentioned to Catherine. I opened the window and saw the beautiful mood.
"Oh moon goddess, we are here to request something from you," I said and brought out my phone.
I texted to Alpha Audra the names of the able men that I would be sending to his pack, and he promised to pay them handsomely.
"We are sorry for just coming," I heard Max voice and he went to check the moon with Catherine.
Minutes later, we began the prayer.
