ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 148: Chapter 148

Bella POV
The next day, Jason arrived early in the afternoon, making me wonder why he came here so early.
"How are you?" Jason asked and I nodded.
He looked at Alpha Audra with a smile and appreciated him.
"How are the workers doing?"
"They are doing great, Alpha Jason," he replied. "We planned that the infrastructure be completed in the next five months, but I guess it would be done in the next three to four months."
"Alright," Jason said. "I will fill out the discharge form."
He left to get the discharge form and then walked in minutes later.
Alpha Audra didn't come with his car so he offered to drive us. Jason walked to sit beside me.
"We should drop her at the guest house then go to check on the building workers," Jason said.
Alpha Audra nodded and began to drive.
"No, I would like to come along with you," I said, and Jason smiled, held my face, and kissed me.
"Alright, let's move to the building site," he said to Alpha Audra who nodded.
Jason allowed me to rest my head on his shoulder while he wore a smile.
The car stopped at a building site and Jason asked if I wanted to come along with them. I nodded and we got down from the car together.
The workers were doing their job diligently, and none of them noticed our presence until one of them, who was sweating, wiped his sweat, and Jason moved back.
"Alpha Audra and Alpha Jason came to visit," he said aloud and everyone stopped what they were doing. They came to look at us.
At the sound of Alpha Jason, they stiffened.
"You can carry on," Jason said. "I am just here to watch your work."
They continued their work and after a few minutes, we went to the guest house, but since it was still early, Alpha Audra chose to take us to the pack house.
"Sit comfortably," he said and walked away.
A few minutes later, he walked out with Luna Safari. We were served some snacks before they began to discuss with us.
Luna Safari thanked Jason for providing extra workers. She also thanked me for my cooperation to the treatment.
I knew that it was because of that treatment that Mattie became more stronger than she normally was.
We had a little talk, and it felt like all the workers were ignoring Jason's gaze although he was wearing a mask.
The mask covered his face to an extent and I guess that it was because of his name. When someone fears a name, they are always cautious.
"Alpha Jason! Luna Bella!!" Luna Safari called. "I would like to show you something."
She brought out an album. It had pictures of flowers. She wanted us to suggest which one we love so that they can send it to us.
Jason looked at me, and it seemed like he wasn't a fan of flowers.
"This!" I pointed to a flower.
Luna Safari looked at Jason, who only nodded.
"Why do you want to send this flower to us?" He asked.
"Alpha Jason, it's a form of appreciation," she said and he looked at me.
I smiled and nodded.
"Alright," Jason said.
In the evening, we were served in the pack house then left to the guest house to sleep.
The following morning, I woke Jason from his sleep and we got ready to go home. Hours later, I saw Jason on a call and sighed knowing fully well that he was speaking with Alpha Audra.
Alpha Audra joined us while we were having breakfast. We ate, relaxed, and conversed with him.
"So Safari would like to see her cute Bella," Alpha Audra said.
I got up and walked out of the house, where I saw Luna, two women. She introduced one as her omega while another as the Beta's mate. This made me smile as I thought of Catherine and Samantha who were always by my side.
"You are a beauty to behold," Cassandra, the Beta's mate, said.
Luna Safari's eyes beamed with joy, and she promised to send letters to me. She also promised to send the flower that I selected.
"You are so beautiful," she said, making me smile.
Jason and Alpha Audra walked out. Jason held me by my waist, making me beam with a smile.
"We would be leaving," he said.
We got into the car and I waved to the woman. Jason began the engine, and I couldn't help but ask him why he didn't come with anyone.
"It's better if they are scared of my face, but to add people, it's bad," he said.
I understood what he said though the manner at which he said it was funny. The journey was long and I yawned.
Along the way, Jason stopped so that I could rest and drove off whenever he thought that I had taken enough rest. I had my eyes wandering the area we passed and minutes later, I slept.
I was woken by a familiar sound and sat up.
"Are we in Dark pilot pack?" I asked.
"At the boundary," he said with his hands on the wheel.
I asked how long I had slept and was shocked. Anyway, it was because of the peace that I felt with Jason by my side.
He drove to the pack and I saw people moving. Some people smiled when they saw the car and bowed like they were worshipping the car or greeting the car.
"They know who is inside," Jason said and I nodded.
Jason drove to pack the car when we got to the pack house. I held his hand before he could get down.
"Mattie wants you to release Alpha Frederick," I said.
He was about to say something but later nodded.
"Alright, I will do as Mattie wants," he said making me smile.
We got out of the car and went into the house. The first person to recognize me was my son, my Jayden.
"Mother!" He ran to meet me.
