Bella POV
"That's wonderful. You should go to him," she said with a smirk on her face and told me that I should go alone.
I nodded and she wrote the direction on a piece of paper.
"This will guide you," she said giving me the paper then left.
I let out a sigh as she closed the door and looked at the paper.
"Now, I will get to you Alpha Jason," I said with a smile on my lip.
"You have what you need. Why don't you go find our mate?" My wolf asked. "Go."
I let out a sigh and walked out of the room in search of my mate using the direction written on the paper as a guide. I could only hope that I am taking the right route.
My wolf happily danced as I moved and I knew that we were on the right path. My lips tainted with smile as I continued following the direction on the paper.
Getting to the place Catherine told me about, I paused and looked at the building then the paper again before stepping in. He would be inside and I knew he was inside.
I knocked on the inner door expecting a voice. Everything within me told me that he was inside but didn't want to come out so I let out a sigh and continued knocking on the door.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open and everywhere around me was dark. I took in a deep breath then stepped in.
"Hello, is anyone here?" I asked but heard no response.
I moved in deeper and the deeper I moved, the darker it became.
"Jason!" I called.
"Alpha Jason!" I corrected myself but still no answer but I knew that he was in.
Few minutes later, I heard a grumbling sound.
"Why are you here to disturb me?" He asked.
That was his voice so I smiled.
"Why is this place dark?" I asked and he didn't respond.
I looked around as I could sense him approaching me and took a deep breath as I stiffened my body.
Why don't he answer?
"You should leave," he said.
His breath was close to me so I knew that he was near me. I grabbed his hand and asked him why he said that.
Jason slightly took his hand off me and turned back.
"I am your mate," I said. "I haven't seen you since."
No response.
This made me upset and I tried to look for a switch for the light if there is. Suddenly, my body collided with a dark surface and I felt a hand hold me.
I knew that the hand that held me is Jason's hand.
"You should be in the pack house," he said.
There was no trace of emotion in his voice.
"You are sending me away," I said.
My hand found its way to a switch and when I pressed it, a small light came on and I was happy that at least I would be able to see his face.
However to my surprise when the light came on, Jason had his back turned on me.
"Jason!" I called wrapping my hands around his waist.
This action came as a shock to me and I could sense that he was also shocked as he stiffened. Minutes later, he gently took off my hand.
"I would be back soon," he said. "You should leave."
Jason didn't turn around to look at my face. I could sense that his wolf wasn't happy. My wolf felt sad.
Taking a deep breath, I didn't know what else to do so I pressed the switch then left.
"He might want to be alone for few days," I told my wolf.
Mattie wasn't buying what I said and she wanted to be with him but since he didn't want to see us now, there is nothing I can do.
I saw the door close on its own accord and walked to the pack house.
Getting to the pack house, the first person that I saw was Catherine. She held my hands and giggled.
I walked to my room and she followed.
"How did it go?" She asked and I shook my head.
After I explained everything to her, she smiled and shook her head telling me not to worry.
"Maybe he wants to rest or plan," she said and I nodded my head.
We continued speaking about other things and I felt relieved although my wolf was silent.
"Tomorrow, I will also go there. Afterall, he is my mate and I won't give up until he looks at me," I said.
"That's nice," Catherine said to me with a smile on her face.
However, her smile didn't last long as she held my hand.
"What if he wants to be left alone?" She asked.
What? Left alone?
I sighed then stared on. My mind was made up to search for him again. Maybe by then I will be able to see his face.
Why did he all of a sudden become invisible after I knew who he was or didn't he want me to be his mate?
I have been undergoing training. The elder told me that she was asked by the Alpha to train me but I only got to see the Alpha today and I didn't see his face but his back.
"Maybe," I said nodding to the words of Catherine.
I asked if we could go out today. That was just a way to leave here and to stay away from the thought of my mate.
If he doesn't want to see me then I won't see him but would my wolf agree to this?
I walked out with Catherine and smiled seeing the amazing life outside of the pack house. People were going about their daily activities.
"Do you want to go anywhere?" Catherine asked and I looked at her.
"Where is your mate?" I asked.
"He is busy," she said.
I nodded and we continued walking.
