ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 16: Chapter 16

Bella POV
The next day, I got up and left to search for Jason. I could stay without him but not my wolf. Mattie urged me to search for my mate after my meal.
Catherine met me while I was locking the door.
"Where are you going?" She asked me.
"To Jason," I said and left without looking back.
I walked to the place where I met him and knocked. There was no response so I pushed the door open and walked in.
My eyes weren't used to so much darkness, so I moved with the wall as my guide.
"Jason!" I called and smiled. "Alpha Jason!"
Still, there was no response, so I ended up saying hurtful words. But still, there was no answer.
"Do you fear me?" I asked. "Because it sounds so. Everyone fear you but you fear me..."
Before I could complete my words, the light turned on and I was taken aback by what I saw. A large wolf walked to me.
I took in a deep breath and then walked to it with a smile on my face. The way his wolf looked at me was terrifying but I didn't care. I knew that he didn't like the words I said but why should I care?
I smiled looking at his face.
I wish I could see Jason's face, his angry look. Smiling, I patted the wolf's head. The wolf began to dance around me and then placed me to lie down. It was licking my face and it touched my hair.
It wasn't nice to me, but since he was my mate and was having fun, I allowed him to do whatever he wanted.
Jack looked up. His gaze was on the forest, and he made some gestures to me. I knew that he wanted us to go and play.
After much deliberation, I agreed and got up. My wolf urged me to agree with him and I wanted her to be happy.
I couldn't get undressed in front of Jack so I needed a covering.
Noticing an inner room, I went in and began to undress. I smelled Jack prompting me to look up.
"Give me some space," I said and he nodded.
I smiled at this and immediately undressed and shifted placed my hand on the floor. I closed my eyes and sighed.
When I opened my eyes, I had become a wolf.
Mattie looked at the environment and smiled. She was happy to be alone with Jack.
Looking at Jack, she moved to him. They ran out of the place and went to the forest where they ran happily.
Getting to a stone, they stopped and looked at each other. There they began to tease each other.
I could have warned Jack at different times but I had given control to Mattie. It would be good if she is happy.
The sun began to go down and I became sad knowing that we would need to change into our human form soon. I wish Jason would be like his wolf who was happy to see Mattie.
I wish this moment would never end but it has to come to a stop. It would have been cool if Jason wasn't cold to us. His cold attitude even made Mattie scared that she called him names sometimes.
That attitude was hurting for her.
Mattie only hoped that our mate would accept us, and that was also something I wanted, but I wasn't as eager as Mattie, whose world revolves around the Alpha.
I returned my attention to the moment that my wolf was sharing with her mate. It wasn't right for me to think of something like this at this time. My wolf is my priority.
Since Mattie is happy being with Jack, I also am and I guess the Alpha wants his wolf to be happy as there was no struggle and Jack looked like a peaceful wolf.
After some minutes, the wolves both went through the doors and Mattie walked into a room where she closed her eyes. I was going to take control of my body.
The wolf transformed into me, and I smiled, looking around.
"Thank you," Mattie said and I smiled.
If she was in front of me, I could have patted her hair. She is such an amazing wolf and I loved that she was spotless. Before transforming into me, she shook her body making it free from all the grasses.
As I walked out, I saw Jack. I waved to him and he smiled.
Getting back to the pack house, Catherine walked to me and asked for the reason for my lateness.
I explained to her all that happened and how we teased each other.
"Wow, that's nice," she said. "You had a nice time."
She told me to wait for her and walked out. Minutes later, she walked to me with a plate in her hand.
"Take this," she said. "It's late so you should eat and get some rest."
I nodded as I collected the plate from her. She placed the cup of water on the table and sat by my side.
After eating, Catherine took the tray out and returned to my side.
"You should rest then sleep," she said.
I shook my head and asked her how the day went for her.
"We didn't spend the day together so I want to know how today was," I said.
She smiled and then looked into my eyes.
"I spent most of the day with Max," she said.
"Your mate?" I asked and she nodded.
I sighed deeply and shook my head.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Nothing," I said.
I didn't feel comfortable but I didn't know what was happening.
Minutes later, Catherine left my room and closed the door behind her.
After she had left, I closed my eyes and began to recall the moments our wolf shared.
"Thank you," Mattie said and I nodded. "I will like more of it. That can only happen if you get close to him."
