ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 17: Chapter 17

Bella POV
My body arched causing me to wake up. I wasn't uncomfortable and reached out to the table with my hand.
It was midnight so I was the only one in the room. It felt like by body was burning so I got undressed with the thought that I would feel relieved. But it didn't work.
"I need to pour some water on my body," I said as I held my knee.
It was unbearable and I couldn't call Catherine at the time. I jumped to the bathroom immediately as walking would make me slow.
As soon as I got in, I walked to the shower and switched it on. My body felt good as the water flowed through it but as soon as I switched it off, it felt like my body was on fire.
"What is wrong with me?" I asked myself.
The pain became more that I had to cry. My cry grew louder as the pain intensified. I was sure that people would be attracted by my cry.
My door opened and I heard Catherine's voice. She walked to me and bent down.
"Is anything wrong with you?" She asked touching my hair and I waved her hand off.
"What is wrong with you?" She asked, her voice showed that she was scared.
"My b... body hurts.... It aches... I think I am burning," I cried out.
Catherine shook and told me to calm down.
"Everything is going to be better," she said. "Let me see if I can call the doctor."
I clung to her arms but she gently took my hand off and walked out of the room.
When she left the room, I thought of what is happening to me. Why was my body aching me this badly like it is on fire? Did I drink alcohol?
People say alcohol can make a person feel like this, but did I ever drink alcohol?
The pain was too much and I thought of ways to pleasure myself so that I won't feel the pain. I began to weep again in the bathroom.
The door opened and Catherine walked in with the doctor who touched me. I screamed as it brought more pain into my system. I cried so much.
"Her mate needs to perform his duty," the doctor said and Catherine nodded.
Catherine took in a deep breath and told the doctor that she was going to get my mate.
"You should leave here," We heard a voice say like he was giving an order.
They both looked back and we saw the Alpha.
"Jason!" I called with a smile on my lips.
My mate actually came when I needed him the most.
Catherine and the doctor left the room while I let out a cry. I didn't know if it was a cry for joy or cry out of pain but when Jason approached me, I raised my hand up and jumped on him.
Jason wore a smile and held me tight. He laid me on the bed and that was the first time we mated.
After mating, I leaned my head on Jason's chest.
"I thought you would never come," I said feeling relaxed.
"I will like my wolf to be happy," he said.
I knew what that means. He had to come because of his wolf. If it was left for him, he wouldn't have come but I was happy that he came.
"Alright, you may leave," I said and he laughed.
He didn't get up but just told me to sleep peacefully.
The next morning when I woke up, I touched the side of the bed and felt no one. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the bed. Jason wasn't there.
"Jason!" I called looking around.
Memories of what happened the last night came to my remembrance and a smile appeared on my lips.
I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom. After taking my bath, I selected a new dress for myself and wore it.
The door flew open and I expected Jason to walk in but it was Catherine. She held my hand while I was smiling.
"Had a pleasant night with the Alpha?" She asked me and I smiled.
She asked how I was doing and how I felt after mating with Jason.
A while later, I asked about Jason.
"I don't know where he is," she said.
My head felt blank. I was thinking that after mating with him, he won't want to leave my side but I guess that was just a lie.
Catherine phone began to ring and she excused herself. She returned to me with a smile on her face.
"You need to change your outfit," she said.
Outfit?
I had questions in my heart but I obeyed.
She selected a gown for me. It made me look like a bride waiting for her husband.
"Have your sit," Catherine said.
Two ladies walked in with a tray and greeted.
Catherine began to do my makeup for me and when she was done, I looked extremely beautiful.
"Wow!" I said looking at my face in the mirror.
Catherine waved the two ladies and they went out. She selected a shoe for me and I looked perfect.
"Why did you dress me like this?" I asked and she wore a smile.
"You will know later," she said and I nodded.
My meal was served and Catherine stepped out of the room leaving me to eat.
She came in when I was done eating with a lady who took away the plate and cup.
"I am so happy for you," she said and I couldn't help but smile.
I didn't know why she said that but I guess it's because we were going to see the Alpha.
She held my hand and together we walked out of the room. On our way out, I met the lady who attacked me in the kitchen on my first day here. She gave me a scornful smile but I didn't care. After all, the Alpha is my mate.
