                    Jason POV
After mating with her last night, I felt like staying with her forever. I remembered last night, she was on heat and if I hadn't come to her, it might be disastrous.
"Arrange for Bella to be here," I said to Max.
With a smile on his face, Max called his mate and told her everything. We waited and I could feel that my wolf wasn't resting. He was eager to see her.
My lips curled into a smile as I saw Bella walking with Catherine.
"What is that?" Max asked, looking at my face, and I pointed out.
He also wore a smile and stood up.
"I should leave the two of you," he said and I shook my head.
"I would like for you and Catherine to be here," I said.
He sat down and Bella stood by the door. I told her to come in with Catherine.
Catherine sat by Max's side, while Bella sat by my side.
"It isn't dark here," Bella said.
I knew the reason she said that but I didn't care.
Her gaze flew to Catherine and I knew she questioned the reason she was here. My eyes were glued to her face. I continued looking at it but was interrupted by Max.
"Alright, Alpha!" He said.
Bella looked at me and our eyes met. I immediately averted my eyes knowing that whatever I wanted to say would make her sad. I wasn't going to give my wolf control.
"Bella, I would like to apologize for yesterday," I said and looked at the shocked expression on her face.
Max and Catherine were also shocked but none of them dared to utter a word.
"It should never have happened," I said.
Looking at Bella, she had a sad expression as she stared at me.
"She is your mate," Max said, and I nodded, knowing fully well that he knew of what happened.
Bella's mouth was opened like something had happened to her.
"Alpha Jason," she called, and I knew that she was hurt, but what could I do?
I can't make myself love her.
"I am sorry I shouldn't have done that. It only happened because my wolf wanted to please you and not me," I said.
They all opened their mouth and stared at me. I didn't know what action Bella was going to carry but ladies are the same.
"Alpha Jason, you don't really mean what you are saying. If you didn't help me yesterday, I could have done it with someone else," Bella said and I took a deep breath.
I didn't know if my next word would make her feel sad or happy.
"You can," I said remembering how I killed Olivia.
Now I can give her the free will to do whatever she wants. In that way, I won't feel sad.
"Do you mean that I am a harlot?" She asked, fidgeting.
Catherine got up and walked to her side. Only then did I notice that she was shaking.
What stunt can't a lady pull off?
"This meeting is over," Max said.
Bella got up and left the room. Catherine looked at me before running to meet up with her.
"What is this?" Max asked. "She is your mate and not an ordinary lady.
I let out a sigh and shrugged.
"If she really wants me, then why can't she wait before pulling such a stunt in the middle of the night?" I asked.
"She was on heat, Jason. She was on heat," Max replied. "I guess she has never given herself to anyone."
"But I have," I said.
I thought of how she would feel when she knows that I am her first but she isn't my first. It would be nice to let her be.
My wolf was sad, but I ignored it. After all, I gave him the chance to do whatever he wanted to do last time, but not now.
I saw Catherine run to me with a nervous face. Max got up when she entered and I turned to look at her.
"Jason, Bella is really sad. Why did you say that to her?" She asked.
"Then what am I expected to say?" I asked.
They both wore a shocking expression but I didn't do or say anything wrong.
"She has made her decision," Catherine said.
"What decision?" I asked her.
I knew that whatever decision that made Catherine run here was something that no one should joke with.
"What decision?" I asked again and Catherine drew in a deep breath. She was hesitant to say it.
Although I discussed freely with them, they obeyed me. I knew that Catherine was scared of my response.
"She would leave this pack in the evening if you don't come and plead with her," Catherine said.
I sighed and nodded. If she wanted to leave then she is free. She can keep running like a rogue.
"Jason!" Max called and I turned my back against him.
"Let her do whatever she wants to do," I said and could hear Catherine sob.
Afterall, I only slept with her at the time because she was on heat and would injure herself if I hadn't taken action.
When I turned back, I saw Catherine turn her back against me and run out of the room.
"Jason, I know what happened to you was bad but she is your mate," Max said. "The moon goddess still preserved your mate for you despite your callousness. Shouldn't you be grateful?"
Hearing the word, Callousness, made me look at Max, who swallowed quickly, knowing what he said. I didn't want anyone to be with me. I should return to the dark room.
My wolf tried to struggle with me and tried to take possession but I didn't give it the chance. It won't possess me at this time.
I was the one who was going to rule this pack and not Jack.
"Keep Mattie for me," Jack said.
"How would I keep her if Bella is leaving?" I mentally asked.
"You should stop her," he said but I didn't respond.
It's better for her to leave than to threaten me.
