                    Bella POV
The following morning, I sat with some women peeling the vegetables. I was waiting for Samantha to come.
I felt relieved after the ritual that I had done with her.
"Salmonella, you are getting late," Tuberculosis screamed.
Samantha walked to the living room with a smile on her face and touched me. I got up and walked to her. We both touched Tuberculosis feet and left.
While we were on our way to the market, we stopped by and I held her hand. We looked at ourselves with a smile on our faces.
"Let's steal something before leaving," I said.
Samantha nodded her head and we walked to a tray. We stole some goods from a marketer when she didn't know.
"Hey," she shouted. "Tuberculosis has started."
The people began to clear up their goods and store them in barns and stores.
I looked at Samantha and smiled.
We found an empty space and sat to eat. Whenever someone came to sit on the place, we got up and kept eating. We also drank the little that we could steal.
We continued running and soon got to the border. I looked to my side but didn't see Samantha.
"Samantha!" I called but immediately I called, my mouth was covered.
I struggled with the hand that covered my mouth, but it was strong, so I looked up and met with Alpha Jason's face. I smiled and hugged him.
"But where is Samantha?" I asked thoughtfully and tried to look back.
Jason wore a stern look as he looked at my face. Minutes later, he turned me to see. I saw someone dragging Samantha.
"Can they see us?" I asked and he nodded.
I noticed that once we were out of the border, the ritual no longer had effect on us.
"You can see me,"I said and he nodded.
"Let's go," he said.
I shook my head and looked at Samantha who was being dragged by someone.
"I can see that you care about her," Jason said.
"She is my friend," I said.
"An Omega," Jason said, irritated.
This made me squint my face. What is wrong with having an Omega as a friend.
"Alright, I will send someone to get her," he said and I smiled.
Only then did I remember that I hugged him. A smile formed on my face but it didn't last long as I looked at his stern face.
We went together to a truck which drove us to the Dark pilot pack. Upon seeing me, Catherine ran to me and raised me up like a baby.
I could only smile as she held me.
"Thank you," she said.
I wondered why she said that and I asked her. To my surprise, she told me about the phone call that I made and how she knew that I was in danger.
"I never tried to call the number again since you were in danger," Catherine said.
Jason cleared his throat and told her to take me to our room.
"Do not worry, I will get your friend, the Omega," he said laying emphasis on Omega.
"He is foolish," I said when I was in the room.
Catherine walked to me and asked who I was speaking about. Without knowing, I said Jason.
She laughed and held me to herself.
Catherine was like an older sister to me although I knew it was because I was the Alpha's mate or maybe if I was not the Alpha's mate she would have been my friend.
"Catherine!" I called placing my head on her lap.
"What do you want to say, dear?" She asked and I smiled.
I asked if Jason has begun to like me. I knew that it was a wrong question but what could I do? If my mate doesn't love me, what else would I do? Kill myself and end my suffering.
Catherine laughed and held my hand.
"You can't think that I know," she said and I nodded.
All I wanted is for him to love me but I didn't see it coming soon. Or maybe he does. He allowed me hug him and promised to fulfill my wish.
Thinking of my wish, my heart was drawn to Samantha. If Jason can save her and bring her to this place, she would be my personal Omega. This would relief Catherine the stress of being with me all the time.
But wait, I just met her.
"Catherine, do you believe in a friend made in a week?" I asked.
"Depends on your thoughts," Catherine said but the next minute she laughed. "Are you planning on leaving me?"
I got up from Catherine's lap and looked into her eyes.
"I am not trying to leave you but Max needs you," I said.
Catherine tried to argue with me saying that her mate wasn't complaining of lack of time with her.
"I know that, but it's better being by his side than becoming lonely as I am,"
Immediately I said this word, Catherine closed her eyes and held me tightly to herself.
She would feel sad that I felt this way but the pain was eating me up and I didn't want anything of such to happen to anyone.
We spoke about other things then she left to meet Max and my thoughts drifted to Samantha. How was she coping? Would Jason save her?
I continued thinking and thought of the risk of being caught by Tuberculosis.
"Is she going to be alright?" I asked myself.
While thinking, I slept.
When I woke up, the first thing I met was Jason's face. This made me quickly sit up.
He didn't do like he scared me but just kept asking questions.
"You have been away for months and I thought you needed time away from here," he said.
Apart from that, I never heard any more words. I felt mesmerized by just looking at his face. It was beautiful and I wish that he could just tell me those three words.
