Bella POV
He looked irritated by the way I looked at his face but told me that he needed to get everything that happened to her.
"Let me in on everything that happened, every bit. Don't hide anything," I said.
I looked at him like I didn't understand what he meant and he had to repeat himself.
"Months ago, you only said that you wanted to go out for some air, and we never saw you after that, but months later, you called Catherine to tell us to save you," he said. "How? What happened? Tell me all that happened. Let me know if anyone harassed you."
His words were strong. It felt like he wanted to kill someone. Too strong for me to breathe. Only then did I remember my power.
"Please don't use that on me," I pleaded. "I have killed many people."
Jason was stunned to hear this but urged me to speak.
With watery eyes, I looked at the door, thinking of a possible way to escape answering his question,s, but the door was already locked.
I took in a deep breath and smiled.
"I went out to feel the cool air on that faithful day," I began. "While standing, a beautiful cat passed by and I ran to take it. Unfortunately, I failed to meet it. I looked around and later decided to come back."
Jason stood by the wall listening to me. He still kept a stern expression.
"Suddenly I was grabbed and woke up in a strange room. Josh wanted to sleep with me but Abel fought with him. I ended up destroying the pack and everyone who lived there.
When other members who weren't present got to know, they chased me, and I hid in an abandoned hut."
Jason sniffled and then asked how I survived.
"I became a thief and everyone pursued me," I had tears on my face.
Looking at Jason, I saw that he wore no emotion. He was neutral.
I shook my head and then continued.
"Months later, a man visited me. I was scared at first but he told me that he was from you and I believed him. Rather than taking me away, he drugged me.
He transported me to his home, where I met Samantha, and we became friends. She advised me not to think about escaping," I said.
I explained all the dreadful things Manuel did to Samantha but it seemed like he wasn't interested.
"Samantha and I planned to escape and did a ritual and made ourselves invincible to people only when we didn't want," I said.
I was about to continue but Jason wore a shocking expression. He called for people who came in immediately he called.
"Hold on," he said pointing to the people who came in.
He took out his phone and placed a call and told the person on the other end to get whoever this Samantha was here.
"Without a remedy, your body will begin to burn by next tomorrow." He said.
My mind went out to Samantha. Did she know about this? If she knew, it meant that she wanted me dead, but I doubt it.
I could see that Jason's mind was troubled though he still held his cold expression.
"Is it risky?" I asked thoughtfully.
Jason ordered the women to bathe me and feed me with a lot of butter for seven days.
My eyes shut up as I tried to comprehend what he said.
Minutes later, he left the room and the women told me to get undressed. A chilly feeling passed through me as I thought of getting undressed in these women's front.
Some women cursed asking why the Alpha cares so much for me. Part of the women were those who threw words at me before my first escape.
"I held that the Alpha is getting married to Paula," I heard a woman say while feeding me butter.
I squinted my eyes as I didn't want to believe what they said but after thinking of it for so long, I decided to confront Jason.
After they had fed me, I was met with scornful looks.
Catherine walked in minutes later and walked over.
"You do not look happy," she said.
I got up and hugged her.
"Please, answer this. Does Jason want to marry Paula?"
Catherine didn't respond to my question so I knew that I held right.
When she asked me how I got to know about this, I saw no point in lying so I told her the truth.
"Would you go to shout at them?" I asked. "What about me, it would have been best if I died."
Catherine held onto my hand and we wept.
"Where are you going?" She asked when I walked to the door but I didn't respond to her. "Tell me."
Seeing her cry, I responded that I was going to confront Jason. She tried to stop me but I didn't stop.
Getting out, my wolf told me that he would be in the cabin so I walked to the cabin and barged in. He was having a fun conversation with Max and looked up when I walked in.
"I will excuse you," Max said.
After he had left, I walked straight to Jason's table and laid down my question, but to my surprise, he responded gently.
"Hold on," he said and left to lock the door, then offered me a seat, which I grudgingly accepted. "Why are you here?"
I rolled my eyes and then looked at the paperwork on his table.
"Why do you care for me all of a sudden?" I asked. "Is it to have your mate for the pack or to kill me with your barehand?"
This made him angry that he hit the table. I got worried about this and wanted to rush to him but I disciplined myself.
"Why are you here?" He asked.
Without thinking of the words I was about to say, I told him that I was here to ask about his and Paula's marriage.
This made him laugh.
"This should be between the both of us," he said.
