ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 41: Chapter 41

Bella POV
"Why do you need to stain your hand?" His voice echoed and Paula trembled and rushed to hug him.
I think Max had informed him, so he wore a mask, but I could recognize him. Paula only recognize his voice.
"Alpha, I only wanted to discipline her," she said.
Jason wore a face of disgust as he hugged her. People clapped but I saw Samantha huffed.
He looked at us and told us to leave.
Holding Samantha's hand, I walked away but couldn't help but ask why Paula wanted to hit her. Samantha held my hand tightly and we together went to my room.
"She is angry that I am your friend," she said. "She wants me to hate you and then become her friend."
I smiled listening to all she said and laughed. Paula was still looking for a way to get on my nerves although she knew that the Alpha wants to marry her. Such a shame!
If I didn't know what Jason was doing, I would have fought with her and maybe hurt some people too but I needed to practice how to use my power concentrating only on good things.
Minutes later, the door opened and Catherine walked in with two phones.
"What is this?" I asked.
Smiling, she told me that it was for us to communicate when we aren't together and play some games or music when we are less busy. I wanted to refuse saying that I would never part ways with Samantha but remembering that she is also a werewolf I nodded. There would be a day Samantha would find her mate and by that we would need to part ways.
"Thank you," I said while Samantha bowed.
She patted our cheeks then left the room.
Samantha opened her phone immediately and urged me to open mine. We saw a large phone and I smiled. Samantha shouted Android.
We saw that there were new sim in the phone so we connected it and saved each other's number.
"Were you going to reject this?" Samantha asked and I nodded.
I told her about what I thought and how I realized that I was selfish in my thinking because she will also have a mate whom she is going to love and cherish.
"That's right but you will forever be my friend," she said and gave me a hug.
The following morning, I woke up to see Catherine sitting on my bed. I immediately sat up thinking that she heard something but she had a sad expression.
I asked her what went wrong and she hugged me. I knew that she didn't want to tell me why she was sad so I never asked her.
I got up and offered her water to drink.
"I don't want," she said but I wasn't going to listen to her.
She sat me down on the bed and I was about to speak when my new phone rang. It was Samantha.
Noticing the smile on my face, Catherine asked me if it was Samantha and I responded well. She got up and asked me to take my time while she leaves but I shook my head.
"You can't," I said answering the call.
Samantha greeted me and told me to take my bath.
The call took a minute then I turned to Catherine who masked her sorrow with smile.
"I won't take that you are happy," I said and she nodded with a sniffle.
"Jason is going to marry that petty girl in the next 5 weeks," she said.
Hearing that my breath froze but I was quick to recover.
"He can marry whoever he wants," I said. "After he marries, I also will get married."
Catherine wore a sore look but I smiled. Happiness is free for everyone, whenever someone gets sad then they have no joy.
"Don't think about it," I said.
Catherine didn't look pleased with my changed of attitude neither did I feel pleased with the turn of events. Was Alpha Jason really going to marry Paula? Now, I felt scared going to confront him. What if he lied to me that day? But I was sure that he didn't lie to me. The evidence and all about Paula; they look true.
Is this one of his scheme against Paula.
"You should ask him why he is doing this to you," Catherine said.
Before I could utter a word in response to her, we heard a knock on my door. It was Samantha.
I remembered what she said when she called me and realized that I haven't taken my bath.
I warned Catherine not to say any word that could make Samantha to suggest that I am the Alpha's mate then I rushed to the bathroom while Catherine opened the door.
I heard them exchanging pleasantries while I took my bath.
When I was done, I met only Samantha and we hugged like friends.
She mocked that I was just dressing.
When I was just done, we stepped out of the room and began to talk. I was met by the mocking gaze of Paula but didn't bulge.
I had something in mind and it was, why the sudden preparation for marriage?
"Watch where you are going," Samantha said and I looked up.
Paula and some women laughed and pointed fingers at me. I began to curse, saying that if they all get to know who I am, I would not forgive them.
But how can I allow evil dominate me? I was a bit angry by their actions and held on to my fist.
The house began to shake and the people held onto the wall while Samantha held onto me.
I released my fist when I realized that the house shook because I was angry.
Holding onto Samantha, I walked to the kitchen. I laughed when I saw a woman who fell down when I held my fist.
In the kitchen, Samantha looked around. There was no one so she bursted into laughter.
