I asked myself why I was angry and got up looking at Bella.
"I am the Alpha," I said.
"I am the Luna," she said.
Such a headache. Here, I was thinking this young lady wasn't going to give me a headache, but here I was. I had already married her, and she was my mate.
I am the Alpha and whatever I do would affect how people would think of me.
I walked to her and pulled her up.
"What if we go out together?" I asked.
She looked at me with a bulging eye, but I didn't care. I grabbed her hand and walked to the door. All through this, she was smiling.
"Alpha! Luna!!" I heard.
I could recognize the voice and I knew that it was Max. Beside him was Catherine, who wore a smile, looking at Bella.
Someone bumped into me and it was Samantha. She immediately apologized and said that she had come to see Bella.
"No, I came to see Luna Bella," she said.
Catherine smiled and patted Samantha's cheek and told her that Bella wouldn't be able to speak to her for two days as it was our custom for a wife to cling to her husband for two days after their marriage.
Samantha smiled and waved to Bella, and left not without saying, "Remember, I am your personal Omega."
After Samantha left, Catherine's attention turned to me and she asked for the reason I was out of the room.
"It would be romantic in the cabin," I said and they laughed.
"Then I won't disturb you," Max said. "Let's go to the cabin and you should give me the task for two days."
"We would only disturb you when it's time to eat," Catherine said and I nodded.
I walked out of the building with my hand on Bella's arm.
Getting to the cabin, I told Tricia to be seated afar while Max sat in front of me as I checked each of the files that were on the table.
After some minutes, I handed two to Max and locked the door when he was done.
I went back to dealing with the paperwork that I had done. There wasn't much to do, but I didn't want my attention on Bella.
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," Bella said and took a seat in front of me.
I looked up and gritted my teeth. Did she just quote that?
It felt like she was speaking about me. Maybe because my wolf was also Jack.
"Can you not give me a headache?" I asked and she smiled.
I wondered how she was scared before and allowed others to bully her when she could show this side of hers.
"Get away," I said.
"Are you sad that your fake wife isn't with you?" She asked.
I got angry knowing that she was talking about Paula. Paula was not my concern right now.
Holding onto my fist, I glared at her.
"If you do not stop this, I promise not to stop having girlfriends."
This word made her shake. She stared at me like I killed her in her formal life.
"I am sorry," she said going back.
This made me smile as I sighed. Now, I hope she can give me some peace of mind.
With nothing to do when I got tired of the paperwork, I began to play with my phone.
"You can just get a gamepad," Bella said.
I looked at her and wondered what sort of lady she was that when she got a chance to be happy in her life, she would misuse the opportunity.
"Hmmm," I didn't know what to say.
"I am hungry, and it's not fun here," she complained. "You brought me here but chose to stay on your own. I want to go out."
I pressed a button and ordered that a meal should be sent to the cabin.
Bella kept complaining about how I didn't have her time and wanted her to be bored.
"After two days, you should leave me with either Samantha or Catherine," she complained.
A knock was heard on the door and I pulled Bella up to stand by me while I unlocked the door and collected the tray from Catherine.
After she had left, Bella wore a smile as she looked at me.
"Wow, you want her to believe that we are in a romantic style," she blushed.
I didn't answer her but gave her the tray. Only then did I realize that there were two plates containing the same meal, which meant Catherine wanted us to eat together.
I took a plate and went to sit while Bella sat in the same spot that I left her.
We began to eat, and I felt that she had her gaze on me, but I refused to yield to the temptation of looking at her.
"Alright, Alpha. You win," I heard her say.
Jack jumped at the sound of her voice making me almost pour the food. Maybe Mattie told him the same thing.
I calmed my nerves and continued eating, not even sparing Bella a glance.
"Alpha Jason, let's play," Bella said an hour later and I smiled.
"It seems like you didn't play when you were young," I said, nonchalantly.
"Yes, I didn't," she said. "The orphanage restricted our movement and then when I was adopted, I had to take care of my poor mother."
It pained me to hear this. She didn't grow up with her parents so I couldn't ask her about them.
"Bella Carter," I called.
"Alpha Jason Fast," she said making me smile.
She got up and pulled my cheek.
"You are cute," she said.
I wanted to push her hand but couldn't.
I held onto her slender finger and watched as she smiled. Within me, I contemplated if I loved her or not.
While contemplating, I allowed her to sit on my lap, and she blushed harder.
Looking at my paperwork, she inspired me to want to complete it.
