ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Jason POV
The following morning, I woke up and looked around. It looked like the room had been decorated. I wondered what the occasion was, and then I looked at Bella, who was still asleep.
I got off the bed and went to the bathroom and had my bath.
After bathing, I got dressed and remembered something. I looked at Samantha and noticed that I needed to speak with her. It was about what was going to take place in the next few days.
"Good morning," I heard and looked at Bella who was just getting up from the bed.
She looked at me and smiled seeing that I was already dressed.
"Going to be busy today?" She asked and I sighed.
"Not really," I said and took in a deep breath.
Her smile was beautiful. She got up and was about to leave, but I held her hand.
"I need to speak with you," I said.
"Let me take my bath," she said but I shook my head.
She glanced at me and smiled then sat back on the bed.
"I want to discuss about the battle," I said.
Bella smiled and shrugged saying that it would be the first battle that she would watch.
"Let me know if anything can distract you," I said and she smiled.
She told me that the only thing that could distract her is if Samantha isn't proven innocent or guilty before that time.
With that said, she got up and walked to take her bath.
There was a knock on the door, and when I asked who it was, it was Catherine. I opened the door and to my surprise, I saw Catherine with a tray.
"This isn't your job," I said after greeting her.
Catherine nodded and told me how she thought of doing this since the investigation was ongoing.
"There may be people who are waiting for your downfall," she said.
While we were discussing, Bella walked out of the bathroom and greeted Catherine. This made me remember that I wanted to leave before she finished, however, I couldn't leave till I was done with my meal. It would be a disrespect to Catherine if I didn't eat what she brought.
"It would be best for me to leave you both," she said.
After Catherine had left, I observed Bella staring at me. She hadn't started dressing. I smiled as I noticed something so I closed my eyes.
"You may open it," I heard Bella say after some minutes.
I opened my eyes and saw that she was dressed in a beautiful gown. She smiled, looking at my face, and only then did I realize that I was smiling.
Returning to my normal expression, I called her to the bed. We delved into our meal and soon finished.
An Omega came to collect the tray and I got up to go outside.
Bella clung onto me as we walked out of the room and I saw Catherine smile. She left me all of a sudden and said that she had something to do.
"Alright," I said.
I walked into my office to relax before I went to the cabin. There wasn't work for me to do there but I just wanted to go.
I looked around and saw Max walk into my office.
"Is there any issues, Max?" I asked.
With a smile on his face, Max placed a small note for me on the table.
"This is from the private investigator, he told me to deliver it to you," he said.
"Have you read what is inside?" I asked and he shook his head.
Opening the note, it was like a prompt for me to ask questions from the two ladies.
I looked at Max, winked, and picked up my office phone to call the private investigator.
We spoke for some minutes, and he assured me that he was going to finish his investigation the next day, but I needed to play my part.
There were other people in the house that their cases were been investigated but since this concerned the Luna's life, I hired a private investigator to dig in the case.
I looked up to see Max who was staring at me.
Jack urged me to find the culprit with a question. He was also interested in this case, and I laughed, patting him.
"What are you going to do?" Max asked.
"I will go in the evening to see everything," I said.
Max asked if he could come along and I thought about it. It was going to be nice if he comes along.
"Yes, you can," I said.
We spoke about other things then he left. I looked out of the window and thought of what I would get out of the mouth of the two ladies.
"If any of them results in lying, then I would use ruthless methods to bring to justice what has been done," I said.
The door of my office was knocked and Bella walked in.
"These are what I found in the Omega's room," she said.
This took me by surprise as I didn't think that she would also involve herself in the investigation. I collected them and watched her leave.
I invited Max to come into my office over the phone. After he arrived, I explained the matter to him and he began to praise Bella.
Holding some materials Bella had brought to me, I handed them to Max.
"Let's go to the cabin," he said.
The cabin was like a place where we could solve our problems. We were free from distraction there.
I packed up and we left for the cabin.
We searched through and Max told me what he saw anytime he saw something implicating. I also told him whenever I found something implicating.
We shared our ideas and I was grateful that Max would be coming along with me in the evening. There were already a lot of things that we could use to get what we wanted.
"This is enough evidence for our questioning," Max said.
