                    Bella POV
It's been one week since we got the victory. I knew that it wasn't the last fight in the pack.
Right now, I sat on the bed thinking about Jason. He would be going on a trip tomorrow and we were just building our relationship.
I could still see that Jason battled with his emotion which is expected of a man whose heart is undergoing changes.
I had made a promise to myself to change him for good. It wasn't all about being cold-hearted and ruthless.
One day, I will make him soft.
He walked into the room and to the cupboard and began to search for something.
"What are you looking for?" I asked getting up.
Immediately I got up, he looked at a paper that was by my side.
"I left it here," he said, picking it up.
Before he could leave, I stopped him.
"May I come along with you to the office?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I am not in the office but at the cabin," he said.
I nodded and held his shoulder.
"We should go to the cabin together,"
"What about your duties?" He asked.
I assured him that I was going to come back to take care of things here. For the time being, Samantha would handle my duty for me.
Picking up my phone, I called Samantha and informed her. I wanted to be with my mate as I was already missing him.
Together, we walked to the cabin, and I was left to take a seat on the couch. Max sat opposite Jason.
They discussed heartily while I sat playing games on my phone.
"Thank you for your time, Max, you may leave," I heard and looked up.
Max left but not without looking at me with a smile on his face.
My gaze went to Jason who was staring at me. He held a roll up and I could feel him call me.
"Don't act like a child," Mattie said making me jump up to my feet.
Jason asked me why I jumped like that and I asked if Jack called Mattie.
"I feel so," he said and I nodded my head.
I smiled and calmed my nerves. Then I asked if he had called me, but he shook his head.
He didn't call me which means Mattie...
I took my phone up and told him that I was leaving since there was nothing to do.
"Will you be available in the evening?" I heard him ask as I was about to go out. "I would like to go out with you this evening."
I didn't know if I should be happy about this or sad. I wore no expression but nodded.
Getting into the pack house, I saw Samantha organizing some things. My gaze diverted to a far away distance and I saw Catherine speaking with someone.
Trying to make up one's mind was difficult. I chose not to interrupt Samantha's duty so I went to Catherine.
"Oh, this is our Luna," Catherine introduced me to the man she was speaking to.
It was a new face so I guessed that he was a visitor.
"You are here on a visit," I said and he nodded and commented that I looked beautiful and young.
After the visitor left, I held Catherine's hand and we went to take our seat.
I spoke to her about a lot of things and when Samantha came to join us.
As evening came, I sat excitedly on the bed thinking of my outing with Jason.
"I should change my dress," I said.
After changing into a comfortable wear, I walked out of the room and bumped into Jason who touched my cheek.
Some minutes later, we walked out of the pack house.
I clung to Jason, and the people who saw us outside were happy. Some people hailed while some spoke about the battle we won.
There would be a battle later, but for now, other packs won't want to battle with us. They would want us to let our guards down and then attack. It may not be this year or next year.
"Luna Bella, you are a hero," some women hailed me.
Jason told me to have a chat with the women, and I complied with this.
"I couldn't have done it without Alpha Jason's help and support," I said and sheepishly smiled at Jason.
Their song changed from long live Luna Bella to long live Luna Bella and Alpha Jason. This pleased my ear and I walked back to Jason smiling.
"Let's keep moving," I said.
We walked to other places and sat at some spot to rest a bit. We only spoke to one another when we needed to.
Jason called for a turkey seller to come close. He brought some cooked turkey and paid the seller.
I was amazed at the fact that he paid for it without thinking of himself as the Alpha.
This is worth learning.
I squeezed my face as I thought about this.
Minutes later, it was getting late, and Jason chose for us to have food by the roadside. He loved doing this when he was young but stopped when he got busy with the pack.
"Then, I wore a mask, but now they can see my face," he said.
It was fun seeing him like this. He looked lovable.
Why did he needed to leave?
After eating some rice, we decided to go back to the pack house. On our way, I saw him stop.
"I saw this last time I went out alone," he said and I bent down to pick it.
In my hand, it looked like a crystal stone. I told Jason about it and he told me to take it to the pack house.
"Tomorrow morning, I will call for a forensic scientist to come and examine it,"
"That will be great," I said.
I stopped speaking and continued walking with I kept my hand on Jason.
With that, we entered the house.
