                    Bella POV
The following day, I woke up with a smile on my face as I thought about what happened yesterday.
"I should get dressed and check on the baby," I said to myself.
After taking my bath and wearing a beautiful attire, I looked at my phone with a smile on my face. I wish that he would call me today and not just text me.
To my surprise, when I got out our visitors were present. Why were they here? Do they have ulterior motives?
Douglas had a camera with him and I stared on. In the book, I read that no outsider is allowed to take pictures except at the Alpha's concert.
"Why are you looking like that, Bella?" Catherine asked holding my hand.
I took my hand off her and my gaze away from the foreigners.
"I am here to look at baby Jeff," I said and left to the room he was in.
I met baby Jeff looking up, and like a little child, he was smiling.
Touching him, I wondered why parents always wear necklaces with the names of their children on them before dumping them. Was it a way of meeting them again? Maybe when they become successful. Maybe my parents aren't dead, but they are watching my progress so that when I become successful, they can come to claim that I am their daughter.
I looked at the chain that I managed to mend.
I always wore it on my neck and hid the part which had my name, Isabella, in my dress.
It broke when I was trying to escape while being a thief, but I had to mend it. It only had Isabella.
"Hi, Cutie," I said, touching Jeff's cheek.
His smile made my heart fluster.
"Luna!" Someone knocked on the door, and I permitted her to enter.
"The foreigners will like to see you," she said and I looked at Jeff once more before leaving.
"You called for me?" I asked staring at them.
Douglas raised up his camera and told me to stand by the corner while he captured amazing pictures of me.
His words made me angry. We all roared and told him that we weren't doing it.
"It's just for a magazine," he said.
Doesn't he understand that we don't want that?
"We can only do it if our Alpha accepts," I heard something say.
People gathered to cover me.
"Her beauty can go to a waste," Douglas said.
He was still aiming at the camera but smiled.
"Alright, if it's against the pack rules then I won't bother," he said.
Damien walked to collect the camera from Douglas. No, he couldn't be trusted.
"What should be done be done to him?" Jake asked pointing to Douglas.
I closed my eyes and thought of what Jason would do in this case.
"Arrest him," I said. "Three days in the dungeon with no food and water."
Everyone looked at me with shock on their faces.
Here I was, trying to change Jason, unknown to me that I would be more like him when he was out.
The remaining foreigners pleaded and promised that he would never do it again. I changed my mind and told them that he could spend the day in the dungeon.
After that, I asked for the two men who tried to kidnap me. They were brought to my front and I made sure that they were beaten in front of me.
They were made to look at me while they were beaten.
"Enough," I said when I saw their faint faces. "Take them back, give them food, and tomorrow, send them away."
While walking away, Catherine called to me and asked why I had started behaving like Jason but I didn't know what response to give her.
"Maybe it was in me all this while,"
Immediately I said that, I remembered when the angel told me not to let evil overtake me. Now, I was giving evil the power over me.
I kept walking and no one walked close to me.
Getting into my room, I let out a deep breath.
"What's happening to me?" I asked touching my head.
"You are letting your bad side take over," Mattie said.
"Then what should I do?" I asked.
"Control yourself," she said. "Don't behave like Jason."
I smiled, listening to her dictate the way I should behave. It made me smile as I thought of how Jason was going to behave.
"Change some rules in the pack," I said.
Yes, some rules were hard for people to live with but I couldn't change the rules like that. It has to be a combined effort.
"How about telling him about the hard rules after he confesses his love to you?"
I thought about what Mattie just said. Would he ever confess to me? Yes! But, when would he?
I nodded my head and told her that I was going to work on it.
While communicating with Mattie, Catherine knocked on the door and entered after I replied.
She touched my cheek and sat down on the bed.
"Was I bad out there?" I asked raising my head on her shoulder.
"You weren't but your heart was hardened,"
"Can you suggest the reason,"
"Related to Alpha Jason," Catherine said and I couldn't help but think.
She gave me every reason why she thought it was because of Jason. I knew that one of her suggestions was correct, but how could I tell her?
"Let's go out," she said.
I fixed myself before walking out of the room with Catherine.
"I would go to his office," I said to Catherine who nodded.
I walked to Jason's office. I had made it a point of duty to read the book till the end. There were still few things I needed to know.
Seating on a chair, I began to read the book from where I stopped.
I was ready to get acquainted with all their history and rules before the year ran out.
