                    Bella POV
The next day approached, and I awoke from sleep. It was still quite early. I looked at Jason, who was still asleep, and I felt like laying my head on his chest, but I shook my head.
I remembered that he didn't fulfill my wish yesterday.
Getting up from the bed, I switched on the light and walked to the bathroom, but could hear Jason complain that it was too early for someone to be up.
Such nonsense!
After taking my bath, I walked into the room and looked at Jason who was sitting on the bed with an an expression.
"Good morning," I said with a smile on my face.
Without waiting for his response, I walked to the wardrobe and pulled out a dress for myself. However, when I turned around he was no longer on the bed.
"Anyway, today should be a good day for you," I said.
I didn't hear anything, so I just pulled on the dress that I took and then laid to take a bit of rest before going out.
Few people were moving. I guessed that it was because it was too early.
Minutes later, I saw Samantha walking down the stairs. It was obvious that she still needed more rest, but since she thought of coming down, who was I to stop her or send her back to her room?
"Good morning, Samantha," I said as she bowed.
"Good morning, Luna,"
I touched her head and hugged her. It was easy to hug her when there ain't more people around, but whenever people were around, I just addressed her casually as a friend and my personal Omega.
"I would make sure you are beautified today before the ceremony," she said then her gaze went to my dress.
"Is this what you are going to wear to the ceremony?" She asked and I smiled.
"Isn't it cute?" I asked and she shook her head.
"Your idea of dress isn't bad, but dressing like this for a ceremony is bad," she said. "You are the Luna of this pack, not a slay queen."
My mouth opened in shock.
Do I look like a slay queen?
This would be bad if Jason knew.
"Then you will just tell him that you decided to wear this before the ceremony and have something better that you want to wear," Mattie said and I loved the idea.
Samantha smiled and rubbed my palm.
"Why are you up so early?"
"Being busy thinking of the ceremony," I said.
That was the truth, but I have been busy thinking of how to dodge the ceremony.
Last night, I was ready for him to say what I wanted to hear, but I guess that he won't tell me that until... maybe when we grow old.
Mattie assured me but didn't respond when I asked her when it was going to happen. It means that she doesn't know when it will be.
For my safety and the pack's safety, I won't leave here. Not even if Jason sends me away.
"Oh, I should leave you to your thoughts," Samantha said and left.
The pack house was so big so I could go to hide somewhere after my makeup is done. I looked around and smiled.
Why won't I dodge all this when I don't want to?
"Bella, you mustn't feel sad," Mattie said, trying to comfort me.
Finally, the day was clear and people began to come out of their rooms.
I felt a hand across my shoulder and looked up to see Jason. I wore a smile and thoughtfully asked myself if he would continue to play this emotional game in front of everyone.
"It's going to be the Lantern ceremony tomorrow," he said. "We need to go out during the day to give all the market women a gift."
I said it. He was just showing his affection in front of people and wanted me to follow him to meet the market women.
I nodded, knowing that a Luna is meant to be respectful to the Alpha.
His eyes traveled to my gown and he smiled.
"Is this what you are wearing to the occasion?" He asked.
Thinking about an answer to his question wasn't a problem so I told him exactly what Mattie had told me and saw his satisfied expression.
I began to blame myself for having a poor dressing sense but anyway, I was going to change with the help of Samantha.
Minutes later, Jason pointed forward and I went with him.
"There is our Luna," Max said when he saw me.
Catherine wore a surprised expression when she looked at what I was wearing.
"Oh, wow, our Luna dressed to seduce our Alpha," Catherine said.
After eating together, I went to Catherine and explained to her.
"Hmmm, I see. Do not worry, Samantha and I will help you choose and I will do your makeup today,"
I giggled hearing the word makeup.
The one they did yesterday was for my little outing with Jason, and now she wanted to do it for Jason's welcome party.
Almost everyone within this pack has seen me without makeup. I knew how to do my makeup by myself.
I love light makeup, although I loved the one done for me yesterday.
Anyway, there is no need to worry as I won't be attending the ceremony.
"Don't you think it would hurt the pack's pride? Doing that may result in the beginning of the pack's downfall," Mattie said.
I knew that what she said was true. After some thought, I decided to attend.
"Let's go to your room," Catherine said to me hours later.
Samantha chose a gown for me but Catherine wasn't in support of it. She brought out a gown that was adorned with flowers.
"Wow! This is beautiful," Samantha said adoring the gown.
However, seeing the gown made me frown.
"It's too flashy,"
"It's just for today's occasion," Catherine said and touched my hair like an elder sister disciplining her younger one.
