ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 67: Chapter 67

Bella POV
"Alright, do what you want," I said.
My heart was made up before on looking for a place to hide during the ceremony but Mattie convinced me to do otherwise.
We were done with everything and today's makeup was unbelievable.
"Beautiful," Samantha said changing my earrings.
"Our Luna is beautiful," Catherine said.
I got up to look at the way the gown looked in the mirror. It was really beautiful and flashy. My mouth curled into a smile as I looked at the dress.
I shook the ornaments that I wore in my hand and the beads that I wore on my neck. Both Catherine and Samantha stood aside watching me smile.
"Put on this shoe," Catherine said bringing a shoe to my front.
My lips curled into a smile when I was finally done with dressing. I got up and looked more taller than I normally was.
"The ceremony is beginning," Samantha, who went to check out what was happening outside, said.
I asked if Jason was dressed to which she replied positively.
Taking a deep breath, I walked to the door and both Samantha and Catherine waited behind. They watched me as I opened the door.
Getting outside, I saw that the house had already been beautified. Not many people were present. I looked around and a man walked to me with a bowed head.
"Luna," he called. "Alpha is by the exit of the house."
I nodded and thanked him before walking away.
"You look more beautiful than yesterday," Jason said but there was no expression on my face when I thought of how eager I was to hear those three words that would make my heart sparkle yesterday.
I put my arm across his, and together, we walked to the building where the ceremony was meant to begin.
People welcomed us as we entered the room and I could feel my heart flatter.
The ceremony went on and when it was time to welcome the Alpha, they sang his praises.
Jason got up as they sang his praises.
"Alpha Jason, our joy, the one for us. The one whom the goddess chose," they continued praising him for thirty minutes, then called my name, and I got up.
"Luna Bella, Alpha Jason supporter, the one who helped us win against our enemies. Sent from the goddess...," They praised me for twenty minutes.
Later, Jason gave his speech to everyone with me by his side. Only then did I notice that half of the pack members were present. Maybe because of chairs but I doubted if it was so. They might have invited a few of the pack members but all the chairs in the building were filled.
It was a large building.
After his speech, we all turned to leave. Jason and I were the first to step out. We held our hands and moved our legs slowly like we were processing to a cathedral.
Immediately we entered the house, a man shouted, "Glory to our Alpha and Luna."
Everyone shouted after him.
Some people were already in the house. Our feet were washed with water then we entered the house.
A few people followed us in while others went away. I couldn't tell what would happen next, but the next I knew, Catherine walked to me while Max walked to Jason.
I was taken to the room that I shared with Jason, but I didn't know where Jason was taken to.
There was a new gown on the bed. It wasn't as flashy as the one that I was wearing but it was beautiful.
Catherine got me to change into the new gown and took off my jewelry and bangles. After all this, she took me out of the room.
My gaze fell on Jason and I stopped moving.
"You will have time with him after this evening," Catherine said with a smile.
After sitting on the couch, everyone was given something to eat, and later, the atmosphere changed.
Jason spoke with all of them politely and I wondered why he spoke like that.
"As you all know, I have a Luna by my side, so it can't be like before in this pack," he said, and they nodded.
"Long live, our Alpha! Long live, our Luna!!" Some men started and everyone joined.
I could not help but smile.
"This is what you would have missed if you stayed away," Mattie spoke in my head making me frown a bit before looking forward.
Hours later, they left and I took a sigh. I removed the hand that I placed on Jason's lap and walked to the room.
I felt like hugging him. I felt like telling him how I enjoyed the ceremony and how I felt happy staying by his side, but it seemed it was just my imagination.
Anyway, that was all for today so I could take off this dress and make-up.
"Take your seat, Bella," I heard Catherine say.
She helped me to take off my makeup and looked for a night dress in my wardrobe.
"You should change your gown,"
After I had changed my gown to nightwear, I walked out of the room with Catherine. I wasn't expecting Jason to be waiting for me but he was.
"Let's go," he said.
I thought he would hold my hand but he didn't rather he just kept walking. This made me realize that he is still the cold man I met after running into this pack.
We arrived at the dinner table and I saw Max smile. If only he knew what was in my mind.
Because I have learned a lot from the book of rules, I know what next step to take. Tomorrow's everything, I will request that we sleep separately from each other.
That would be good. He has done it before so doing it again now won't be a hard thing for either of us.
We ate our food and drank some water before leaving to our rooms.
