                    Bella POV
Early the next morning, I remembered what would happen today. I touched the side where Jason slept but he was not there.
"Jason!" I called and looked around.
He was nowhere near so I got out of bed and began to search for him.
"Can he be outside?" I asked myself.
I walked to the bathroom to take my bath. The water heater was so cool that I danced in it.
I got dressed in one of those elegant dresses that was in my wardrobe.
"Hi Bella," I heard Catherine's voice when I picked up a shoe to wear.
Looking up, I saw both Catherine and Samantha walk in. This gave me an idea that Catherine knew where Jason was, after all, when I called her into the room some days ago, she didn't want to come in because Jason was in.
"Do you have any idea where Jason is?" I asked.
"With Max," she said, then looked at Samantha, who was beside her.
"You should go to Beta Max," Samantha said.
Catherine nodded and left me with Samantha who got down to her knees.
"You look beautiful in the attire," she said. "You chose it yourself?"
I nodded and my heart flattered with joy.
Now, I know what to wear on occasion. They do not need to help me choose anymore.
Samantha's smile was contagious and I could not help but smile as she wiped my face with olive water. There was no need for makeup today as it wasn't a big occasion.
"You should be beautiful for the Alpha to look onto," she said.
My heart thudded immediately as I heard her say this. I held onto my chest and watched her put on my earrings again.
"I should get your meal," she said.
Without waiting for me, she dashed out, making me suspect that something was wrong.
Did she argue with Philip?
Does Catherine know about it?
Now that she had been busy with her duty, she hardly had time for me, and this made Catherine close to me, but I doubt if it is something simple.
Soon, Samantha walked in with a tray and sat me down. I touched her hair and could see her worry.
"Is anything wrong between you and Philip?" I asked and she shook her head.
When I raised her bowed head up, I could see that sorrow in her face.
"Since the past few days, it has been torturing me," she said.
Torturing her? What could that be?
"Manuel! Tuberculosis!!" She wept.
I knew things like that. His spirit should be the one torturing her in dreams.
"You should trust the goddess," I said and pulled her into a hug.
We remained like that for some minutes then she raised her head.
"I am sorry for wetting your gown with my tears," she pleaded.
"Oh, it's nothing. You should get your face cleaned,"
While she went to clean her face, I took a napkin and used it to wipe my dress. I made her eat with me although she refused to do so.
Our friendly moment was disrupted by Jason who entered the room without knocking. Well, it was also his room.
Samantha got up and was about to leave but Jason stopped her. He took a light pen from the table and walked away.
"He only came for the pen," I said to Samantha.
We continued eating the food and I could see every bit of respect for me in her. She ate less, allowing me to have a larger portion of the meal.
I decided to spend most of the time in the room and only left when called.
I didn't want to face Jason but I still needed to go out with him for the benefit of the pack.
"Bella, come out," I heard Catherine's voice.
Nothing could make me disobey my elder sister but at a time like this, I was weak of worry thinking of Jason.
Mattie still had Jack but for someone like me, I had no one.
The door opened and I closed my eyes to pretend that I was sleeping. Well, my pretense wasn't enough.
Catherine caught a glimpse that I wasn't sleeping and began to tickle me until I opened my eyes.
"What is wrong, Bella?" Catherine asked. "Remember that you are our Luna and your mood will determine the state of the pack."
I wanted to hug her but if I do, then she is going to notice that my mood isn't good.
"There is nothing," I said and tried to lighten up my spirit.
Forcefully, I got up and we walked out of the room to the Alpha's office. There was an ongoing meeting.
"There she is," I heard Jason say immediately I entered the office. Everyone paused and looked at me making me a little bit nervous
I sat beside Jason and the meeting resumed.
Few hours later, we planned to go out together at once then when we are outside, we would disperse into groups.
Getting out, Jason and I were left alone as the Alpha and Luna. While walking, I remembered about Baby Jeff, who I hadn't checked on just because I wanted to stay in the room.
Thinking of him made me lose focus on the way I was going so I walked away from Jason and onto the road. I didn't know anything that was going on until I crashed hard on someone's chest. It was Jason's chest.
'Don't you look at where you are going? If anything funny happens to you, I won't take the blame.' These were the words that I expected from him when I noticed that I was almost hit by a fast-moving car, but to my surprise, Jason didn't.
"Did you get hurt? Oh, Thank the goddess that nothing happened to you instead I won't have time to tell you about my feelings," he said.
Hearing what he said my eyes went to his face.
"I love you too, Bella,"
