ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 69: Chapter 69

Bella POV
"I love you, Bella," he said. "I didn't want to accept this feeling before but now I do. I love you."
Tears of joy rolled from my eyes. When he gave me a peck on my forehead, it welled up my emotions, and I hugged him.
I saw cameras pointed at us. They were from pack members so I didn't care about it. It would be a story for the week that they saw their Alpha and their Luna in a romantic style.
"Thank you," I said raising my head from his shoulder.
I just hope it isn't a show of affection to people outside. I wanted to feel loved both outside and inside.
With a smile on my face, I held his hand, and together, we walked to the marketplace to give what we had and give them our blessings.
"The goddess be with you, Alpha. The goddess be with you, Luna,"
"You are glorious and the fruit of your belly is blessed,"
"The goddess has come to visit us today in the form of our Luna,"
Many were chanting praises while some prayed for us. We went everywhere the elders had gone and I was so happy.
"Stop!" We heard and turned back. "A storm is coming and only our Luna can save us."
A storm?
I looked at the woman who said that. She had a striking resemblance to me.
"Who are you?" I asked but she didn't respond.
Is that my mother?
Why is she here?
I gritted my teeth remembering the pain I suffered and how they said that I killed my mother.
"Old woman, enlighten us," One of the women said.
Two chairs were brought for Jason and I, but we refused to take our seat.
The old beautiful woman walked to me with a smile on her face and held my hand but I was quick to withdraw it.
"Eighteen years ago, I had no choice but to leave my daughter and run away with my husband for our lives," she cried. "Isabella should be of your age but I don't know if she is dead. She would have looked like you if she is still alive but I guess she was reborn into you."
I smiled thinking of her last words, "reborn."
How captivating does she think her story is?
"Gold, star,..." She was saying and tried to raise my chain up. Before she could say Isabella, I turned around.
"You marketers can continue," I said and left with Jason.
We went on blessing the people in the market and also received blessings. That was the purpose we came here and not to meet a woman who would later claim to be my mother.
"I have no birth mother,"
"Luna Bella has no birth mother,"
I kept telling myself these words.
"You will need to forgive her even though you don't want to accept her as your mother," Mattie said making me worried.
Why would she say that?
If the woman is my mother and a good woman then why should I not forgive and accept her?
If she isn't one of them or the two then I won't bother to forgive or accept her.
I tried to focus on our mission here. Thankfully, Jason was holding my hand tight so there was no way I could wander away in my trail of thoughts.
It took us hours, and at a point, I got tired, and Jason, who noticed this, asked that we rest for a while.
While I was looking for a place, we could take a seat on, two chairs were brought and Jason made me to sit on one of them. Some cakes were brought for us and we blessed them before eating.
After taking a bit of rest, we continued and received multiple blessings, mostly me.
"Let's head home," Jason said when we were done giving gifts to the marketers but I complained of leg ache.
His laughter was magnificent but also looked sweet.
"Then I will carry you on my back," he said and I gave him a slight push.
"Another headline should be Alpha Jason had his Luna on his back," I joked.
We decided to walk to the pack house together although I had issues walking due to my leg ache. Then I remembered that we were laughing in the market.
What if it was added to the headline?
"It's going to be nice," Mattie said.
I sighed deeply and walked to touch Jason's hair. Jason looked at me and before we knew it, our lips met.
"Sorry," I said and looked around to see if anyone saw that.
If they did, that would be embarrassing. Without waiting any moment, Jason held my hand, and together, we walked into the pack house.
"Welcome back," Everyone said.
As we sat down, we were served some tea which we drank happily. I stole some side glances at Jason as he drank. My heart was filled with joy as I remembered what he said to me outside. It was what I had been waiting for.
"Thank you, Mattie," I mentally patted her.
Jason was quick to finish his tea and ate his meat. He waited till I was done eating before he got up. We spoke a little to Catherine and Max before going to our room.
"Today was exciting," I said and sat on the bed.
I sat with my clothes on and Jason laughed as he pulled off his top.
"Scared of taking off your dress in front of me?"
His question made me blush, but anyway, who am I to lie? I nodded and immediately went to take the nightwear that Samantha brought in the morning. I dashed into the bathroom and changed my dress.
When I got out, Jason collected from me the gown that I was holding. He sniffed my neck and that action caused me to stay stiff.
Before I knew it, I was on the bed and Jason was on top of me. The room was filled with lovely moans.
