ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 73: Chapter 73

Bella POV
"Mother, I am sorry for what I did," I cried.
Her eyes shut open and she looked at me with a smile on her face. She looked at everyone in the room and then at me.
She blinked her eyes before she closed it and returned to the position she was in when we came in. I looked down and wanted to tear up in this place but was stopped by Catherine who came to hold me up. She held me on one side while Samantha held me on the other side.
"Luna," Samantha called and I tapped her hair.
They walked me to the room and it was only after they had tucked me in and left that Jason came in.
"You should take care of yourself," he said and tapped my hair. "I would be going out now. Whenever you feel like meeting me, you can come to my office."
I nodded my head and had a smile on my face but I stopped him from going.
"Jason," I called then wore a sad expression. "This morning, I was heartbroken with the way you behaved. I couldn't touch you. You did like I irritated you."
Jason touched my cheek playfully then held my hand up.
"Luna Bella!" He called.
I was shocked by this. He had never added Luna while speaking to me, not even when he was angry.
"Shocked right?" He asked and I nodded. "I can call you Luna Bella just as you can call me Alpha Jason."
I couldn't help but blush as I listened to the words he said.
"Now, back to what you said, I didn't see it as irritating but I had something to do which was to get your mother,"
I sat up although my body was hurting.
"Suddenly?"
He smiled immediately I said this then held my chin.
"I dreamt of something. The old woman was walking on a lonely road then a stranger who knew that she had seen her child came to inject her with some pill,"
Immediately I heard that, my thoughts became rigid and I sniffled. Jason asked if I was alright or he could get Samantha to be with me but I shook my head.
"I would come to you when I am fit," I said.
In the next hour, I walked out of the room and looked around.
"Oh, our Luna is here," Samantha said and served me boiled eggs, which I ate till I was full.
After eating, I looked towards Jason's office and decided not to go there. I asked for Catherine and was told that she was with Max in Jason's office.
This left me with no other choice than to go to his office. I rested for a while then went to his office.
Immediately I opened the door, I saw people glare at me. Jason never told me that he was having a meeting. I remembered the last meeting that he was meant to attend but due to his ill health, I made Max cancel it.
"Come in," Jason said.
The new people stared at me until I introduced myself as the Luna.
"Such a beauty," Some men said but when they met Jason's gaze, they kept quiet.
"Let's begin our discussion," Jason said.
The meeting took two hours and I gained a lot. If I was with a pen and paper, then maybe I would have jolted some things down.
The new people went out with Max, and I wanted to be alone with Jason, but how could I when Catherine was here?
"Luna!" Catherine called. "I need to show you some things."
My eyes widened when I heard her call me Luna. I looked at Jason who called me Luna some time back.
I shook my head and looked around. We were the only ones here so why did she call me Luna?
"Bella is alright," I said and they both laughed.
Catherine got up and winked at me. She told me to take some time alone with Jason, then she left.
I smiled as I thought of this then looked at Jason.
"Can you be my assistant?" He asked and I nodded.
"That's the reason I am your Luna," I said.
We began to do the work together. I sat beside him and was giving him figures while he was documenting them down.
"Ahhh..." We heard someone scream and abandoned the thing that we were doing together.
The lady only sustained a minor injury so I instructed some people to take care of her injury.
"It looks like you care for this pack more than I do," Jason said and I turned to him with a face of laughter.
"I do care for the pack just as you do," I said.
Together, we went back into his office to continue our work.
When the sun was going down, Jason wanted us to go out. I didn't want to do it but for the sake of his happiness, I did go.
"Good morning," someone called. It wasn't a pack member neither was it someone who I had since before.
Jason also had a puzzled look. It was only then that I discovered that the man was looking intensely at me.
"What is wrong with you?" I asked.
"I am looking for a woman, she is older but looks like this girl," he said.
The sound of him calling me a girl in that context made me angry, and I wanted to speak to him, but Jason was quick to hold me back.
"We don't know her," he said and we left.
I held onto my arm like a baby who needed a cuddle.
"Why don't we go out in the truck or your small jeep?" I asked.
Without replying to my questions, Jason shoved an ice cream into my mouth. This action made me smile.
We continued walking for some time, then stopped, where we met a boy beginning for alms. The parents were sick and the boy needed some money.
However, before he could finish speaking, Jason had already called the doctor.
