Bella POV
I really felt like coming back and also not returning due to Jason's attitude. If the goddess can just take me to be with her then I would be happy. There won't be a need for me to encounter this ruthless Alpha.
Eighteen years in this life but I hope when I am reborn, I will be birthed into another world.
"Bella!" Catherine called, but I needed to be strong.
I wore a smile and hugged her.
"I am going to miss you," I said.
She looked stunned after hearing this and asked if I was leaving with Jason on a vacation. I gritted my teeth. I wish it was that, but it wasn't.
"We aren't but you might not see me for some days,"
Catherine pulled me into a hug with a smile on her face.
"Do you need to isolate yourself from everyone again?" She asked. "The happenings in the pack aren't your fault. Jason is looking into it."
I gave her a warm smile and held her hand. We left together.
In the evening, I saw Catherine speaking to Jason who had his eyes on me. I would have been smiling if it was before, but at present, I wasn't going to do that. She walked to me and together, we ate our night meal.
Jason stole glances at me making me blush but not hard. When we finished eating, we spoke about various things as usual and the place we would go to tomorrow.
It disturbed me that they planned for a day I won't be home, but anyway the goddess does as she pleases.
"You are behaving strange," Catherine said.
Instead of saying a word about it in response to her, I switched to another conversation.
They all began to yawn and my heart felt heavy. It wasn't that I dreaded this hour but I wasn't anticipating it to come so soon.
"Can we go and sleep?" Jason asked and I shook my head.
"I will stay in that room for the time being," I said and he left.
He didn't try harder to make me come with him. Was that what he wanted?
Catherine and Max also went into their rooms.
Minutes later, I heard the click of the key and knew that the door was about to be locked. I walked to Sonia and told her that I would close it. Sonia didn't want to give it to me but later gave me knowing that she could not contend with the Luna.
I felt like sleeping but I knew that the task I had at hand was more important than sleep.
I made sure everything was clear then sat to wait for the time.
11:59 PM,
I walked out of the house and locked the door then I shoved the key into the house through the window.
Looking around, I could feel fear grip me, but with the light from the different houses, I began to move. At one point, I felt someone hit my head with a rod.
Before collapsing, my head spun, and I thought of how many people died.
I couldn't feel anything again, but felt like I was up before my eyes blacked out.
Hours later, I was woken by water.
"Where am I?" I asked.
The men threw tantrums at me and warned me that I shouldn't let anyone know about this unless they would kill everyone in the pack.
"That's only if she would be able to go back," a man said.
"Where am I?" I looked at the tree that I was tied on.
Nobody spoke, but when I asked for the time, they showed me. It was 3 am.
"You will die by 5 am, and we will deliver you to the pack house's front by 6:30 am."
I was ready for death, but I needed to see their master.
A man who I slapped once ago came out.
"Thankfully, you aren't as selfish as I thought you would be," he said. "You do not want your pack members to die so you sacrificed yourself. After sending your body, I will leave this pack for your people."
I gritted my teeth as I looked at this man. He wasn't a werewolf.
"Can you tell me the reason you are doing this?" I asked.
"You slapped me not once, but twice. I don't forgive female folks so easily,"
"So you resulted in killing," I said. "You are a devil. Once I die, I will be reborn to take revenge on you."
"Oh, little thing," the man said and hit me hard.
I closed my eyes and prayed to the goddess and opened my eyes.
"Do not think you can use your power here," he said with a mocking smile.
I calmed myself with the thought that I was doing something right for the pack.
4 am,
I was dozing when I heard a car from a distance. Do they want to crush me?
"Get away," I heard someone say and raise me.
He took me into his car and drove off. I wondered where he was taking me. My brain was active, but my mind was empty.
The car stopped and the man carried me out. I had my hand wrapped around his neck like I was his bride, but I didn't know what was going on.
When I opened my eyes, I was on a bed and three women were attending to me.
"Where am I? What pack am I in? What is your Alpha name?" I asked.
I still had more questions to ask.
"We are in the Dark pilot pack. Our Alpha is alpha Jason,"
I was overjoyed hearing this but it seemed like they didn't know who I was.
"Glory be to the goddess who made our boss see you before you were killed," a lady said. "Instead you would be down below the ground."
I was grateful for this and decided to repay them back if need be.
"We will take you to the pack house when we are done treating you,"
