"Why are we here?" I asked. "Does this place look like....?" I was asking when but couldn't finish as Jason covered my mouth.
"You ask a lot of questions," he said.
"That is one reason you love me," I said and before I could continue Jason's lips were on mine.
After some minutes, he broke the kiss and sat me down. I began to feel hut.
"This place is hot," I said.
Jason got up and switched on both the light and fan of the room. Next, he pulled out a book from one of the shelf and began to dust the dirt off. My thought was that he wanted to get busy with work and not do as he promised.
He walked to me and sat down.
"Hey, Cutie," he said and I moved closer to him although I was shocked that he called me like that.
He held up my face with his head and shook his head.
"Don't feel sad, I am not working. I just want us to do something so that we won't get bored,"
I stared at him as he opened the book.
"When I was younger, I loved reading books but now I am dedicated to the pack works," he said.
I couldn't help but touch the hair of this man.
"You would be nineteen years old by August 17," he said and I opened my mouth in shock.
How did he know?
Did Catherine let him know?
Yes, it would have been Catherine. Jason wasn't a spiritual being to know it without being told. Neither could the goddess had told him. She would arrange for someone to let him know and so far I have only told Catherine.
"Catherine told you?" I asked and he nodded.
He put his hand across my shoulder and flipped open to the first page. I leaned on his arm as we read together. His reading pace was faster than mine so he had to wait until I was done reading the page.
The story was interesting. It spoke about a young couple who went missing and were separated. They fought through all hurdles and when the man found his wife, she was already pregnant.
After an hour, we still hadn't gotten to the middle page of the book, but Jason placed the book down. He walked to his phone and asked that we should be served.
"Hello," we heard, followed by a knock.
After opening it, I checked to see who it was before Jason closes the door. Catherine stood by the door way with her husband, Max.
I took the tray from Jason's hand and waved both to Catherine and Max before Jason closed the door.
I yawned and began to open the plate. There was only one plate so it was evident that they wanted us to eat from one plate. There was a bottle of water and two cups.
"This is better," I said looking at the different types of meat in the plate. There was nothing more in the plates than two crackers and different types of meat.
Jason wore a smile immediately he saw this. We picked up a fork each and began to eat. When we were done, we had some water, kept the tray somewhere safe and rested a bit before we continued reading the book.
It was a captivating story. When the man got to know his wife was wrapped, he chose not to forgive them and thereby faught till the end of the world to capture such criminals but was injured. With his determination, he fought and killed all the people who wrapped his wife and out of his anger, he called the baby when he was given birth to Dark pilot.
"You didn't read this book," Jason said and I nodded.
The baby's name got me worried, Dark pilot. What does he have to do with this pack?
"This isn't a made story. It was crafted out of a main story." Jason said.
He placed the book down and looked at me.
"A wolf slept with a woman, an human and almost tore her into pieces but she was saved by her husband who kept her away and sent as many human military to kill the wolves in the territory," Jason said then paused.
He held up my chin with a smile on his face.
"The man dwelt mercilessly with Dark Pilot and even began to hate his wife. Dark Pilot escaped when he was of age and built back the destroyed territory, but unfortunately when he wanted to take his mother, he discovered that his father had ended both their lives."
The revelation of this, made me understand the reason it is Dark pilot pack. I have always thought that it was called Dark Pilot pack because of it's Alpha.
"That's the little that I can explain, but after reading till the end, you will know more," he said.
I nodded and continued reading with him. The book was going into much details, maybe it's because Jason explained much to me instead I would have thought of it as a mere story.
After the death of his parents, Dark Pilot went about searching for people to be with him then he saw people who looked like him but had no where to go. He invited them to his territory, made the men work themselves to stupor and had his ways with the women but eventually repented.
Tears dropped from my eyes as I thought of how this pack was formed.
"When did this happen?" I asked with a teary face.
Jason shrug and told that he knew nothing about when it happened.
"I only know that this pack has been since thousands of years ago,"
I dropped the book and rested my head on Jason's shoulder. I was sober.
"You are a descendant of his," I said and Jason nodded.
"I am from his loved one," he said.
I could attribute his behavior to the story.
