Bella POV
We rested a bit before continuing. It took us eight hours to complete the book.
"Wow, this is wonderful," I said and looked at him.
I couldn't have believed that what I read was true. The other books that I have read were nothing connected to this book. Some spoke about the history, but none of them spoke about the story behind the pack.
I could never had thought that what I was reading wasn't just a story.
"About this, how did you know? Your father?"
After asking him this question I realized that I haven't asked about his parents.
"Where are your parents?" I asked.
He wore a smile on his face and asked me what I wanted to be answered. My first or second question.
"Choose one,"
I wanted to say both, but listening to him, I deliberated on what he should answer.
There was still time to ask him some questions about his parents but if I choose to let go of my first question, it would be a huge mistake.
"How did you know that the story is true and ...." I paused.
Smiling Jason held up my chin. He had a grin on his face. He swallowed, then opened his mouth to speak.
"It's a long story," he began. "As I was reading it as a young boy, I fell into the realms of imagination. It was scary and when I finished reading the book, I knew that it was no story."
"I eventually asked some elders because my father wasn't willing to tell me about it. They only told me a little thing that I should know as a child. Since then I have been cold-hearted, trying to form pieces together until my father finally told me everything after warning me that it was only for adults to know, but he had to tell me so that I don't kill myself," Jason continued. "I never believed it until I had a dream about it and dreams don't tell lies about history. It was from there I knew the truth, both the ones that my father told me and the ones he didn't."
I took in a deep breath as Jason said this. It was scary but it had happened.
Wolves lived here once ago. It wasn't that the pack was collected. It had a solid ground.
"Let's go out," Jason said minutes later after we had given Catherine the tray.
We walked out of the cabin and I found myself trying to piece things together. The pack's history and that dream of mine.
It's something like attacking the historical cherished one or the pack members. The man in the historical story who was separated from his wife can be likened to one of the people who wanted to take advantage of the pack. Jason could be likened to the son born from that woman. He had multiple woman with him.
Although in the book, Dark Pilot took ladies that didn't have a pack and slept with them before finding his cherished one, but Jason was loved by all ladies and slept with them until he found his mate which is me.
For the dream that I had, it meant that the human was still angry and either wanted to end the pack or attack his illegitimate son, in this case, Jason, by killing his cherished one, that is me. But when the goddess intervened, she brought all his wishes to be null, same thing happened to me.
"Got it," I said, startling Jason.
"Is anything wrong?" He asked.
We were still walking so I chose to let him know about it. I began to tell him how I pieced both the history and my terrible dream together then tried to apply it to our normal circumstances.
"I never thought of that," he said and I giggled.
"Have you ever thought of the reason the goddess wanted you to find your Luna? It shouldn't be only because she wants me to help the pack to win the war."
"A reincarnate," he said and I bursted out laughing.
I can never considered myself a reincarnate of Toma. I have faced a lot of hardship and I am not ready to face more.
"So about your parents?" I asked when we were almost approaching the pack house.
He gave me a stern look and reminded me of what he said. I kept quiet.
My spirit was happy and it felt like Mattie was excited. I looked back and saw something that caught my attention.
"Can we go to the human world?"
Immediately I said this, I could see Jason's body move then he cleared his throat.
"Is it because of what you read?" He asked.
"Of course, it isn't," I said.
I just wanted to see humans and know how they behave. I knew that Jason had been there, but I haven't. I have been living in a pack since I was born.
"Alright, I will see to it," Jason said.
We walked into the pack house when the day was getting darker.
Max walked to Jason after the guards bowed to us.
"You should call Catherine and the elders to the meeting room," Jason said.
I rolled my eyes as I remembered what he said earlier today.
It felt like he knew what was in my mind. He let out a smile and held my hand tightly.
"This isn't a meeting, but you need to divulge everything you said to me also to them. It would help us, and I don't want to wait till tomorrow."
I saw that his words were genuine so I went into the meeting room. Soon after, the room was filled.
Jason looked at me and told everyone that I had something of benefit to say.
I looked at the faces that I could recognize very well and looked at Jason. I felt confident.
After telling them about my dream and what I learnt, I told them about how it related to the happenings within the pack.
"History really repeats itself," Jason said.
