ALPHA JASON'S MATE - Chapter 93: Chapter 93

Bella POV
I waved to the family and crossed. I waited some distance from Jason's car and watched them go into their house before entering the car. I didn't want them to suspect anything.
"You made a new friend," Jason said when I settled in.
I only smiled at this and chose to stay quiet.
"Where should we go next?" He asked.
He hadn't begun the car engine, so I tugged on his arm.
"Let's go home. It's getting late,"
He smiled and held my chin up. I closed my eyes anticipating a kiss, but it never came.
"I sent the maid to her house," he said.
I didn't understand what he meant by this. If she has finished her work at home, then why did he want her to stay back?
I thought we were heading home, but to my surprise, Jason stopped the car somewhere else.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
Minutes later, I sat down enjoying my ice cream. Jason brought himself butter flavor, and I got myself chocolate flavor. It wasn't too cold and it was enjoyable.
After our ice cream, we were given some snacks to eat. I munch on them happily as my stomach grumbled. I could say that the wolf in me was hungry. Mattie was hungry.
All through our journey, Mattie spoke with me. She told me that she wanted me to enjoy my moment with Jason.
I loved the fact that she cared about my desire.
We were done eating the snacks and I thought it was all, but Jason held me down. I cried as I saw that they brought our food.
Does Jason want us to die?
My stomach wasn't full, but I didn't want to eat more.
I looked at Jason and shook my head.
"I can't eat more," I said.
"You are full?" He asked with a smirk playing on his lips.
I shook my head and told him that I didn't want to eat more.
"Just have some bite," he said pointing to the plate that was in front of me.
Here I thought that he would tell the waiter to take the plate away. He wanted me to take a few bites. Isn't that a waste?
Why would I take a few bites when I can just send it away?
My gaze met with his, and he wore a smile.
"Few bites," he said with a teasing look.
Immediately, I took two bites into my mouth; I felt like savoring everything in my mouth.
"Like it?" I heard Jason's voice and nodded.
I kept eating and before long, I had finished.
This wasn't a restaurant since it was by the roadside.
"This is a roadside eatery," Jason said without me saying anything.
Next, we headed home when he was done paying for our meal.
In the car, I fell asleep and woke up when I felt someone raise me up into his hand. It was Jason so I wrapped my hands around his neck and continued sleeping.
The following week, I held onto Jason's coat. He was looking for a file.
"Don't you think that I should look for a job?" I asked.
He didn't look at me. I knew that he was going to be busy for two weeks and I needed something to do. At least to mix with the people.
"Jason!" I cried out his neck.
He looked up and reminded me that we didn't come here to work. This made me smile. The man who just said this has busied himself with work. I know that it's for his company here, but why can't I work?
Suddenly, he shot me a look.
"Let's speak to Max," he said.
It was a video call. Catherine sat down beside her mate. They both showed their excitement to speak to us.
"It's been a week, how well have you settled?" Catherine asked looking at me.
"Not well," I said. "I am managing over here with Alpha Jason. He has been putting me through a lot of things here."
Catherine nodded and I looked up to see Jason's face. He mouthed the word, Alpha. This made me remember that he told me not to call him Alpha here but I saw nothing wrong with the fact that I called him Alpha now.
We were at home and I doubt if our maid heard.
We spoke of other things before ending the call. Jason and I kept laughing as we thought of what Catherine said. She told us to come back with a good news that we are bringing our heir or heiress into this world.
"Are you ready for such responsibility?" He asked.
After some thought, I shook my head. I could never think of having a baby at a young age. Babies are always stubborn and a baby born by two Alpha's has the tendency to be more troublesome.
"An Alpha male and an Alpha female," I cried loud enough for Jason to hear.
"Won't we have a child in the future?" Jason asked.
"Well, not now. I am still young,"
Jason looked at me, smiled, and shook his head.
He continued what he was doing and when he was done, he turned to me.
"Ever considered being my assistant?" He asked and I understood that it was because I spoke of wanting a job.
At first, I nodded my head but later thought of it. I won't be helping him in that way and he would be paying me. No, I needed to look for a job so that I could support him.
"I don't want to be," I said.
I leaned closer to him and told him about a job vacancy that I saw somewhere.
"We should check the place out, and tell them that you would only work with them for two months," Jason said.
I could see the mischievous look in his eyes, but chose to try my luck.
"Mattie, wish me luck," I said.
We told Miranda that we would be back soon and then left the house. I pointed out the direction for Jason to follow till we reached the place.
I prayed to the goddess that I would be chosen.
Jason opened his mouth when he saw the job offer.
